Dave was a tremendous guide with near limitless knowledge of the history of Scotland, as well as the natural world around it. The tour was easily the best part of our 2 week trip in Scotland, and definitely a reason to make the trip back as soon as we can.

Lovely trip to Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle. Enjoyed the boat trip on the Loch. Stirling Castle very interesting and good to learn the history. And thank you to Harry our driver who told great stories.

There is no doubt about how stunning the landscapes are on this Isle of Skye tour - it’s safe to say there is nothing drab about the Scottish Highlands!
But this tour wouldn’t have been as special if it hadn’t been for Gary, our guide. Talk about kind! He went out of his way time and again to help anyone and everyone in the group to have not only the best time, but the easiest experience. He also made us laugh and taught us a thing or two while doing it.
Whatever you’re paying Gary, it’s not enough! He is a gem.
You can’t go wrong on this tour!

Our guide(i think his name was Douglas) was excellent. During our 12 hours trip in highlands he made our journey meaningful with the things he told about history of these lands.

Stuart was a delight to have as a guide for our tour. He took us to many scenic views, trails and stops.
He made sure we were informed and secure. He really knew his way around those back roads and all the ins and out.

We had a fantastic 3 day tour with Gary the Guide leading us up and back to the Isle of Skye. He thought of everything, keeping us entertained and well tended throughout. He made even the trickiest road look easy. Lots of thoughtful extras keep us smiling at every turn. Highly recommend Discovery Scotland Tours!

Really enjoyed the one-day trip to the highlands. Our tour guide Sandy kept us all entertained and also shared such valuable insights from Scottish history. I highly recommend the company as they are well-organised. Prepare for a long day but the sights make it well worth your time!

We booked the Discover Scotland Tour of Highland Lochs, Glens & Castles for our port day in Greenock, and it turned out to be the highlight of the whole cruise. From pickup to drop-off, everything ran smoothly and the pacing was ideal for a short shore excursion.

Our guide Kyle made the day. He was warm, funny, and clearly passionate about Highland history — sharing stories about clans, folklore, and the landscape that made the drive itself part of the experience rather than just transit time between stops. He had a great sense of when to talk and when to let us just take in the views quietly, which we really appreciated.

The scenery did not disappoint. We wound through glens with mist still clinging to the hillsides, stopped along a loch so still it looked like glass, and had plenty of time to explore a beautiful old castle without feeling rushed. Kyle was great about pointing out photo spots and making sure everyone got the shots they wanted before we moved on.

The group size felt manageable, the vehicle was comfortable, and Kyle was happy to answer questions throughout — about the sights we were seeing, Scottish history in general, and even suggestions for what to see if we ever came back to explore further. He got us back to the ship with time to spare, no stress at all.

If you're cruising into Greenock and want a well-run, genuinely enjoyable taste of the Highlands, this tour delivers. Ask for Kyle as your guide if you can — he's a big part of what made this trip so memorable!

Amazing tour!! Our guide was knowledgeable, charismatic and very friendly. Probably my favorite day I’ve spent in Scotland. Will be returning to this service on my next trip :) Highly recommend!!!

I would give our tour guide, Kyle, more stars if available! He made our day so enjoyable!!! His wealth of knowledge was exceptional!
We learned so much about the history of the area but also about the towns we went through,the native environment… plants…the lockes and music!!
He added just a bit of wit and humor!

I booked directly with the company, hoping for a long tour into the wilderness of Scotland, I was not disappointing. Skye is beautiful and worth to visit. I stayed in a small BnB that the Operator (Discover Scotland Tours) had arranged and I only needed to bring cash for the stay, so it was really easy for me. They have some BnB operators that they know, so that's lovely.

We had Dave as our driver and we were 8 of 16 in the bus on the 4day trip (Couldn't select the 4day, so 3 it is, oh well) It was at the beginning of September and it had a fair amount of crowd, so you were never alone, but not like the peak times of summer, and we saw a lot of good stuff, interesting picture places, and got to pet the highland cows, or as Dave said "go annoy the highland coooooows"

It was nice traveling solo, Dave were friendly to us solo travelers and made sure everyone was seen. Might be back later!

Our guide Gary was wonderful and went out of his way to make sure everyone had a great time. The bus was always clean and his information on the area and sights was informative.

Colin was an excellent guide. He was well prepared with interesting stories as we travelled. I enjoyed the Scottish music he played because he explained the significance of each song. I appreciated his humour and his willingness to answer my many questions.
Not only did he learn our names but he even picked up on my maiden name.
I left something on the bus. Gavin contacted me immediately and is taking care of me.

Our itinerary, Johnny, our guide, and the tour bus were all excellent. Some of the remote fishing towns we visited in the upper Highlands were truly breathtaking and free from tourists.The only thing that took away was that our accommodation in sky was far from anywhere to eat. Since you are on your own for meals, I would simply recommend checking available restaurants when you decide where to stay.
