Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 91 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many consumers strongly feel that the streaming platform is driven by pure corporate greed, charging exorbitant monthly subscription fees while constantly bombarding viewers with endless and repetitive commercial breaks during live sports and entertainment events. Some reviewers were not happy with the clumsy application interface, noting that searching for favorite shows, checking schedules, or navigating menus has become extremely complicated and frustrating. Furthermore, people frequently mentioned annoying technical problems, including sudden login errors, unexpected streaming dropouts, and persistent difficulties trying to manage accounts or cancel unwanted auto-renewing memberships.

Do Better

Ok, I gave one star to Amazon Prime and Discovery+ Premium and not to a nice bloke called Joe who's been very helpful with my problem. I've asked Amazon to unsubscribe me which they did, but it's not enough even tho that I did subscribe through them so they are the Governor's in charge. Long story short I kept on being charged from February onwards. Amazon washed their hands by saying WE DID OUR PART! You've been unsubscribed no?! Discovery+Support you're already better at dealing with customers but all this subscription are too complicated and confusing!

Awful app and scheduling

Awful app and scheduling. They don’t know when their own shows are on, the catch up lines up with the planned broadcast time, so if the show started late, the end is missing. Utter rubbish and a massive rip off to boot.

Excessive ads even with premium..

I have a premium subscription but still seeing so many ads at the start and throughout programmes (not just live) sometimes 6 or 7 at a time! Not acceptable for the price and definitely puts me off using it.. would not recommend

POOR/NEGLIGIBLE SELECTION OF CATCH UPS

We subscribed to enjoy Roland Garros live and on catch up - the latter to watch all or highlights of the many games that we missed in a crowded schedule. Initially this happened but as the tournament progressed, the catch-ups dropped away almost completely, instead we were encouraged to watch endless sports in which we had no interest. VERY disappointing.

Devastated that, due to greed, I will miss the french open

I am sorely disappointed that I have spent the afternoon trying to “upgrade my pass” in order to watch the french open . I realised this would most likely mean an increase on the £3.99/ month But Was beyond angry when I discovered it would cost me £30.99/month !! I only want to watch tennis so dont want to pay for all the other sport. How greedy and thoughtless so now they wont even get my £3.99

If I could give less than one star I…

If I could give less than one star I would, this company has no care for its service or customers. Sky give this service away for free but it ends up relecting badly on them. Do not pay for this service from the difficulty of registering and Activation to the fact the stream does not work if large traffic and when it does it buffers and is full of really poorly placed Ads that again reflect badly on the Companies using this awful service to advertise. How can something so basic be done so badly!

Insane price increase

Just gone to renew my subscription, as I do yearly for the Australian Open and French Open, and I couldn't believe my eyes. The price increase from £6.99 to £30.99 is insane - I don't pay that on any streaming service.

Gutted I can't watch the tennis or TDF this year.

Discovery plus is a nightmare if you…

Discovery plus is a nightmare if you want to watch tennis, like Roland Garros. What they don't understand is that when watching tennis on TV the viewer has to concentrate to watch the fast action. So putting flash up messages CONSTANTLY on the screen makes the viewing experience terrible. In any case why, for instance, would the viewer on Discovery Plus want to be constantly reminded over and over again that there is 'More on Discovery Plus' ? Seems to me these guys need a check up, and from the neck up.

Very poor service

We have been subscribing to Discovery Plus for a couple of years now, mainly to watch tennis from the French and Australian Opens, but think this might be the last year we do so.

The price has more than tripled now for the sports, and despite that the quality of the service has worsened.

Casting to a smart TV/Chromecast now doesn’t work half of the time, for no apparent reason, and the matches listed in the app are often not what is then played.

In addition, when I signed up for a sports package most recently, the app said I needed a further pass upgrade to watch the content I was paying for. Web chat support was able to resolve this for me quickly and helpfully, but this never should have happened in the first place.

I’m afraid I have been very disappointed by Discovery Plus.

Poor… Highlights cutout before the stage was complete

Tried to watch Giro D’Italia extended highlights stage 5 2025 and 30 minutes of that was motor racing, 30 minutes of cycling and then cut out 8km from the end. Not the service of a £31 per month service. I won’t be renewing at the end of the month.

Absolute rip off - cannot watch live tennis

Absolute rip off. £30.99 per month for TNT sports and you can’t even watch the Roland Garros live, it wants you to “upgrade your pass” which is already claiming to be the TNT Sport for fu#*ing sports. Such a joke. It gives a vague message asking you to upgrade to be able to watch it live. Upgrade?! WE HAVE ALREADY SPENT £30.99!!!!! I believe this is daylight robbery and avoid them. Wait for Wimbledon instead on the bbc, I think it’s wrong they make it so hard to watch live tennis. Just a money making scam

343% price rise!

I only ever subscribe for the French Open tennis. It's always been a flaky service, but with the price hike from £6.99 to £30.99 - well, D+ can go whistle!
