Avoid

Avoid. Have ordered 3 times in the last year. Each time items have arrived damaged / broken. The items sent out are often seconds. Requesting a refund and arranging a return is incredibly difficult on the website - one of the worst I’ve ever encountered from such a large chain (and I rarely need to return things). Incredibly disappointing. Would prefer to purchase the same items via a 3rd party seller than direct again.

Received my item that had obviously…

Received my item that had obviously been used as the labels were off and the bag had been ripped open. I had used a discount code which has now expired and they want me to re order but without the discount code, it is there fault I need to re order so should honour the discount price. Wish I had read the reviews it seems this store has gone down hill with its customer service etc. Won’t be using again.

Absolutely appalling service.

Absolutely appalling service.

Placed an order for a number of items, the order was processed, confirmation sent by the store, all looked good with no problems.

24 hours later I receive an email saying that 1 of the items was out of stock so they had cancelled that part of the order. No contact from the store to ask if I would prefer the out of stock item to be sent to me at a later date when back in stock. When I complained to store they said that the computer system could not keep up with the demand and that as a result an error had been made on stock levels. Really….. a billion dollar company can’t afford a computer system that can adequately keep track of stock. As to why they could not send out the item at a later date, they are apparently not getting any more stock. Puzzled…..brand new item of stock, not limited addition, that has sold out, will not be restocked, I am left questioning the business acumen of the people in charge.

Next problem, 7 days later no parcel from the Disney Store. Tracking says the parcel is at the depot waiting for delivery. Hermes advise that I contact the Disney store so that they can raise a query with them, and they will then look into why the parcel is still in their depot.

Contact Disney store using the online chat function, within a minute of my query being raised, they have reached the conclusion that my package is lost in transit. They have obviously funnelled all of their money that should have been sent on a adequate stock tracking system into crystal ball production. No query could have been made with Hermes in that short period of time to see if the parcel was still the depot, they just “know” it’s lost”. What action do you they suggest? Standard Disney store response, do you want cancel your order? By the way, now two more items you have ordered are out of stock!

Obviously I cancelled the order, I decided my money will be better spent elsewhere.

Disney really needs to work their magic.

Quality of the dress I received was…

Quality of the dress I received was just not a good quality. I paid £20 for a 0-3 month Personalised Minnie Dress that came with blobs of the transfer from doing the name and a big ring on the hat where they had put something on it to do the name. I complained, they said they would tell someone further so I asked for a refund in which I have to send it back which is all a massive inconvenience if I’m honest.

I had ordered from the on line store

I had ordered from the on line store, the item never made it too me and was shipped back to them. I had to check UPS tracking to find out (and it had been back a while. No word or refund. I disputed with pay pal and got my money back. Now they want copies of my bank statement to “prove” I did not get refunded twice (which I wasn’t). Something sounds very fishy

Rip Off and Robery

I purchased a back pack for my daughter back in July (which didn't include the free pencil case despite being added to the basket). They money debited my bank account.

Two months later a 2nd payment for the same amount has been taken without prior authorisation or notification. This resulted in my account being overdrawn therefore receiving £96 charges from my bank.

A backpack which cost £25 subsequently cost me (£156!!!)

I have spoken to customer services and they are refusing to refund me this money. I submitted a complaint with bank account screenshots and I have not even received a response.

Incredibly poor service and I will not be spending any more money with the Disney Store.

Make sure to speak to them about offers!

Received my items quickly but was missing the free gifts claimed on their website.

After speaking to customer services I was told you have to add the free gifts to your basket and order them as if purchasing (this is not clearly stated anywhere on the website or during the order process). They then told me I cannot have them now.

I don't know how many customers have missed out on this due to their policy but if expecting offers I would speak to them first and ensure get correct information.

Given the size of the company I thought they would be a bit more pleasant to deal with. Sadly this is not the case.

Poor service ShopDisneyUK/ HermesUK

I ordered some Haunted Mansion items on ShopDisneyUK as part of the Halloween products as my sister is a Huge fan of this Disney parks attraction, also if you spent over £20 you received a free haunted mansion Disney key. Order placed and paid was shipped out the next day received the tracking number to be delivered by Hermes U.K.🤦‍♂️Thursday late morning Hermes email to say my Disney store parcel was due to be delivered today between 4pm-6pm, just before 6pm another email came to say courier running late deliver now between 6pm-8pm 06.47pm another email was unable to deliver today as no one in and no safe place to leave, will attempt another delivery next working day. Strange they had my mobile number and no one had pressed the video door entry to my building to alert me to the courier? Friday same thing except due to deliver between 4pm -6pm again no one home or safe place to leave try to deliver next working day? I phoned shopdisney customer service explaining that I was home on both occasions and had another failed delivery? A case number was raised and they would be in contact with Hermes U.K. to remind of delivery instructions door entry/ mobile phone contact. But as it would take them 48hrs? Yes 48hours for Hermes to get back to Disney regarding why failed to apparently not deliver and as it was a weekend they would likely not get back to them until Monday? Saturday I get another email to say they would attempt another delivery between 4pm-6pm? Yet again we where unable to deliver as no one in or safe place to leave?Strange as earlier that week a parcel I had delivered was unfortunately been delivered by Hermes U.K., yet when they delivered that parcel the courier took a photo as proof of delivery on the front entrance to my building with other peoples parcels just left outside for anyone to just pick and take, I was again then at home and the courier didn’t even bother to buzz the door entry. So when yesterday Monday another email came to say Hermes would attempt for a 4th time to deliver between 1pm-3pm, but at 3.01pm said it would now be delivered between 3pm-5pm I now knew they where lying and that it would no doubt still not be delivered by 5pm, at 8pm a email came that they couldn’t deliver as was the 3rd? Attempt there tracking system cannot count! And would be returning to the sender 🤦‍♂️😏Today I phoned again shopdisney customer service as they hadn’t got back in regards to why Hermes U.K. hadn’t delivered on Thursday or Friday? And explained she looked at my order and the investigation? Which was just the same tracking information I had and that it was to be returned to the sender. When I asked when it is returned to them and checked could it not be re sent out either via a different courier company No as Hermes U.K. is they preferred delivery company🤔then could it be resent to one of there still open Disney store for me to collect No that isn’t possible, when they receive the returned parcel they will issue a full refund, I explained again to the agent that I wasn’t wanting a refund but the items I had ordered as they where for my sister, I understand your disappointment! And again saying that they can only offer a refund and that I could order the items again if in stock, which was no chance as they all sold out that day, and where not likely to have those same items on sale online again, again I said when they receive back could they be shipped to a click and collect location? Again no that was not possible? With that I said is it any wonder with them closing all the stores and relying on the poor online store and the poor experience and whether people would have similar issues in the future with their preferred delivery company, they would have a viable future, and said that I would take a refund when they received the parcel back, with a refund due 14 days after they received the returned parcel. Even though the agent is just following company procedures, no even able to resend out either to a store or a click and collect drop off point and the lack of any help to rectify the issue with their delivery partner not even fulfilling its obligation to even deliver and changing delivery times and then saying no one in or a safe location, has left a poor experience which I’m likely not wanting to purchase from ShopDisneyUK now or in the future over trying to be flexible to provide a more positive outcome.

Avoid online store - no idea what they have in stock & take money from your account regardless (& do not refund)

Avoid the online store - honestly, do not buy from it.
I ordered an item, they took the money, a week later I got an email saying it wasn't in stock. They told me in writing and over the phone the money had not been taken from my account. I looked, and it most certainly had. Almost two months later and no sign of refund. They just send holding emails (all automated) and clearly rely on customers simply not noticing what is outright theft.

Appalling service and not what I'd expect

Order items for birthday. On one item the wrong size was sent by mistake (3 sizes too big!). Followed returns process - no option for replacement, only a refund. Contacted 'shopDisney' to ask if I'd have to re-order the wrongly sent item and pay delivery again for, what was, their mistake. Received a reply stating they couldn't help and to speak to their colleagues in store. So, in short, if they make a mistake with the order, you can send items back, but have to sort anything else out yourself including additional postage charges. Not what I expected from Disney (or what I receive from any other retailer that has made a similar mistake).

Update 27/08/21 - Reduced from 3 stars to 1 star
Re-ordered t-shirt and paid delivery postage again. T-shirt has just arrived and they've sent the wrong size again! So that's two orders, two lots of postage paid and I still don't have what I ordered for a birthday that was last week. Customer service a waste of time and their advice to go to a store (30 min drive away) and sort it there will be interesting as they're closing all UK stores apart from two and it won't address the issue. Appalling customer service.

If I could give NO stars I would!

If I could give NO stars I would!! Ordered a T-shirt as a birthday present. Waited ages, no sign of it, then receive an email that they have delivered it as I sat at home!! They certainly did not deliver it!! They don’t reply to messages or emails and I have raised a dispute with PayPal!! Please don’t waste your time or money on this company :(( Absolute jokers!!

Overpriced junk. Disney is owned by China. Perhaps it shouldn't be a surprise that the merchandise is extremely poor quality. Boycott as a matter of principal

Rude management and staff

Rude management and staff, followed and pursued my partner round store about his mask even though he was wearing one. Manager shouting infront of other customers about how if anyone comes in without a mask he will send them out. Avoid- want happy helpful staff go a few minutes down to The Entertainer.

Avoid the online shop

Avoid the online shop. Purchased an item online which took almost 10 days to arrrive. Sent via Hermes. Box damaged and toy did not work. NO INFORMATION AT ALL on the website about returning a faulty item. just stuck in a FAQ loop which basically tells the customer to contact them but GIVES NO CONTACT INFORMATION. Eventually called the Liverpool store who gave me a contact number and spent 20 mins with customer services trying to return a faulty item. Nightmare. Would never buy from them again. Overpriced, snail like delivery speed, no transparency on website and nightmare customer serviec
