Very disappointing experience – unexpected charges and contract changes

I have been a DNA customer for many years, both personally and through my company, but my recent experience has been extremely disappointing.

I received a very large roaming bill for only about 23 MB of data while travelling outside the EU. This was most likely caused by automatic background activity on the phone. After this, I contacted DNA only to request that the roaming limit be set to 0€ so this could not happen again.

Instead, I later discovered that several of my subscriptions had been modified without my clear approval. The service plans were changed and the monthly prices were increased. Some subscriptions were even upgraded to more expensive 5G plans that I never requested.

As a small business owner, this situation has caused significant stress. Unexpected bills followed by subscription changes without proper consent is very concerning.

Based on my experience, I would advise others to carefully review their contracts and subscription changes if they are using DNA services.

I expected much better transparency and customer service from a major telecom operator.

Horrible Customer Service & Return Policies

I found out they have terrible customer service & policies when trying to send in a defective device, less than 1 year old, for warrantee. A battery pack cannot be "repaired" either way, which simplified what was needed to fulfill the warantee. On their website, it specifically says you can get service in a shop OR via Posti service. Two calls, and the customer DISservice agents tell me it is not possible to return via mail. There is no local store in Kokkola and I am disabled. They ask if someone else can travel OVER AN HOUR AWAY to visit the shop. website explicitly says "Korjauttaminen vai vaihtaminen takuuaikana: Takuuaikana takuunalaisien vikojen korjauttaminen on maksutonta, toimititpa laitteesi Postilla tai DNA Kaupan kautta huoltoliikkeelle." Why are they lying on calls? On the same call, customer DISservice agent even tried to UPSELL me to transfer my phone services! Why would I want to have any future dealings with a company that refuses to help? BUY ELSEWHERE!

Worst customer service

Worst customer service, on hold for more than 30mins every time you will call. Also the support staff cant understand english. They will let you think they do and still charge my phone after ending my contract 3 months ago. And you can’t even reach them. Avoid using their service

Very bad network

I have been a dna customer since 2013, the network is very bad, customer service even worse, if you order something like dna net for home then you have 4 weeks test time incase you want to cancel but during that 4 weeks they will kill time so that the contract stays. When you call dna they dont help. The worste network company in finland. Please dont be q customer… they are really bad and scammers.

Bought a prepaid voucher with 5 eur…

Bought a prepaid voucher with 5 eur included and internet for 0.99 eur a day. On the fifth day the internet disappeared. The customer service didn’t know what was the cause and hanged up on me. I had to put another 5 eur in to get internet back.
Take those 5 eur scammers but also take this review. Hanging up customer service was the cherry on the top

Terrible

Terrible! I ordered tv from DNA, it was delivered to wrong address (old address). I called the DNA about the change address because i can't edit it when i checked out and the DNA said "yes it is now changed" and they called me again to make sure about the change address. I was very confident that the tv will be delivered to the correct address but sadly it is still delivered to my old address. I called Posti if there is information from DNA about the change address and they said there is no information or call from DNA about the change address. I called again the DNA if they can do something like pick it up from the old address and deliver it to new address and they said they will check and update me but there is no update so i called again then in the middle of our conversation they hanged up.

Concern About Potential Overbilling

I had a concerning experience with DNA billing process that left me disappointed and questioning its reliability.

I cancelled my home internet service on April 23, 2025, and received confirmation from DNA staff. Despite that, I was issued an invoice for May 2025, as if the service was still active. When I contacted customer service, they acknowledged the mistake and cancelled the invoice — which I appreciated.

However, this situation raised serious concerns for me. I usually pay invoices immediately upon receiving them, trusting that the amounts are accurate. If I hadn’t noticed the issue in time, I might have unknowingly paid for a service I no longer use. This leads me to wonder if similar errors may have occurred in the past without my knowledge.

I believe this kind of mistake is unacceptable and should not happen, especially when customers are expected to trust the billing system. I now feel the need to go back and check all previous invoices, which is frustrating and time-consuming.

I hope DNA take this feedback seriously and take steps to improve transparency and accuracy in their billing process.

I do not recall all these negative reviews. Mine have been good. I bought my prepaid package in the airport and fifteen minutes later I was up and running. Then the other day I bought a phone from the website and it was literally ready for pick up the very next day. perfecto.

DNA Customer Service

DNA has been quite poor at truly satisfying its long-term customers, possibly because the customer has a foreign name—who knows? A foreign name that speaks the language just as well as they do though. I am extremely frustrated with their misleading customer service and dishonest marketing. One simply does not get what they pay for. What’s strange is that even when the issue is clearly and unmistakably proven, they cannot compensate for their mistakes and instead blame the customer’s shortcomings. I’m not talking about late fees or misunderstandings, so don’t get me wrong, but about clear situations where the customer is right, yet due to their pride, DNA refuses to acknowledge it. I have encountered this behavior from proud businesses many times, which is unfortunate. DNA, if you see this, don’t waste your time responding here just to look good; instead, focus on providing honest service so no one needs to take legal action against you. If you don’t deliver what the customer pays for, there are laws and regulations in place. You have now lost a customer who has been with you for over eight years. The best part is, I actually recorded the conversation, so it’s on tape, and the collected material will be forwarded to my attorney.
