The restaurant is awful, slow service and absolutely no communication with staff, they didn't give us the food we ordered, I sent it back and refused to pay, they tried to tell us, we don't do that but it was on the menu in black & white, the staff literally had no idea what they were doing, YES I know it was a new menu as I was told many times, but surely some training should have been put into place, clearly it wasn't do should not of been open. Also prices were extortionate, I work in the food industry and this was totally unacceptable, I would never step a foot back in the place and as for recommending I don't think so, children could have done better!!
A hen party was actually going on in this place, I couldn't think of anything worse, I'd rather spend mine in a skip!!!!

Today I visited Dobbies in Ashford for an afternoon tea with my soon to be daughter in law, Tristan was so lovely very attentive, kind and very helpful. Working extremely hard in alot of areas. He made our experience complete. The afternoon tea was amazing, beautiful presented and very tasty. Excellent value for money.

Lovely coffee shop at Ashford, good food and drink, staff very attentive. The lady on the till on the shop floor not so good,there were no baskets at the entrance so I had to carry my bits around until I reached the till, no barcode on my plant,she wanted me to go and find one, I refused so she went eventually and was sullen finishing the transaction, she needs to have a better attitude.

Bought ribeye steak and fillet whole one if each he cut into steaks all.half price great deal supper steak thanknyou

Purchased several plants from this store for them to wilt and die a few days later. Contacted customer services via email who were very slow to respond and unhelpful. No longer had receipt so no refund or goodwill voucher could be given. AVOID, keep your receipt!

This cannot have 4 stars your pushing even 1 for the canteen (yes a canteen and that's being nice) the food place is shocking, slow, disorganised, limited staff long queues and ask a question IE can I have a jacket potato.... Response "oh I don't know how to do them" even though she was working on that section. By the time you get a luke warm breakfast the time it takes to serve you a drink it's stone cold. I went on a few occasions when it first opened but from now on I'm absolutely avoiding it and reccomend you all save your hard earned money to spend elsewhere. Shocking

Being a Dobbies Club member, I received a birthday voucher for free tea & cake last year in September, but was so annoyed and embarassed, when I reached the till with a friend to be told that my Gluten Free cake was not accepted in terms of the treat offer and I was charged for the whole two teas and cakes. Having reported this to Dobbies, I received an apology and was told that in future all Gluten Free cake would fall under this offer. Imagine my annoyance this week to reach the till again to use my birthday tea voucher for two to be told that my pre-packed Gluten Free cake was not part of the offer! There were no actual cakes on offer except the pre-packed kind, with very few cakes on offer at all, although it was well before midday, but a cake is a cake surely - well not at Dobbies it seems. After advising the lady at the till of my experience last year and Dobbies response, she checked with the manager and I was told on this occasion and 'only on this occasion' would I be allowed to use my voucher for the Gluten Free lemon tart! It totally spoilt my special outing with an elderly friend, not forgetting to mention that we spent £135.00 between us in store). I have been a member of Dobbies many years and go there frequently, but now I would like a refund of my Membership Fee and will no longer go to their cafes. The discrimination against those of us that unfortunately, are forced to require our food to be gluten free, surely is unacceptable?

There is a fantastic variety of goods in all sections at reasonable prices. The cafe/restaurant is lacking I'm afraid. I tried the self-service salad bar. The lettuce had seen better days. The jumbo sausage was impossible to cut into, it was so dry I guess they had been in and out of the fridge quite a number of times.

Went for bedding plants and, as usual, came back with far more!! Good selection, good quality plants, reasonable prices and knowledgeable and helpful staff. What more could you want.

Friendly staff & purchased bargain tomato grow house. Free coffee always nice experience even if chocolate tea cakes but expensive !

Our visit to Dobbies Soft Play area was great, clean and safe environment for the toddlers to explore and play. The store is well stocked with great plants and products, the layout is also good. The café serves tasty snacks and meals although on our visit the hot meal choice was very limited, the other negative with the café is the speed of service is very slow especially a busy times.

The Dobbies at Ashford is the only branch I have visited a few times, it is well laid out and clean. I only go there occasionally as I have several other Garden Centres more local to me.

Staff so helpfull.excellent service in your store.

Awful breakfast and that’s being polite, reheated sausages from the day before, poached egg that was swimming in water…! Just awful awful awful.
Never again will I eat in ashford Dobbies.

away more prompt .
