Professional job

We had Dave and his team come round and fit electric and lighting into my mancave, what a team, they were efficient, tidy on time and very knowledgeable about their job, we are very pleased indeed with the work they carried out and would highly recommend them, well done to Dave and the boys

With this lot the customer is always wrong

Company came in response to a request to change out a cooker hood / extractor fan. Literally one for one. As soon as he took the new unit out of the box he said "this looks too big". Then I assume actually measured it and said "I've only got 8mm". (So?) Moved the cooker out of the way and said "Who did this, it's not wired right" "That wire is too thin" There had already been a flash from the kitchen and two sockets were off. He fitted the new hood. (Which as it was a direct replacement, fitted perfectly). Summoned us to the kitchen and said "It's all fitted but it doesn't work (this being the new one) as there is a fault between this socket and the board, the board also needs a new RCD for this circuit" (Everything had been working previously). "That will be extra cost". So when I told him to get on with finding the fault and sourcing a replacement RCD (This was around 12:30 on a Friday afternoon) he just said "I haven't got the time, I've got other jobs to do and I have to pick the kids up at 3:30". When I said "That sounds like a you problem" he became belligerent and accused me of having an attitude problem. (This was in MY house with ME paying for a job that had left us with LESS than we had before and two sockets off for the weekend) I told him to leave my house and his departing shout was "You'll be hearing from my solicitor". We never did, but he did send my wife his bank details requesting payment...
I did not want to pay but for a quiet life she paid. She also requested a receipt which he has never sent? A different electrician came and repaired the problem which he DEMONSTRATED was not where this guy said it was. Trustpilot says "This business has not requested reviews from Trustpilot". I wonder why?
