Rented a car on Aug 19th 2026. The entire experience was a disgrace, i have never experienced customer services that are so bad. This operation does not meet health and safety standards and ought to be shut down. The cars are not roadworthy and they dont have a relaible shuttle bus to the Airport.
Firstly the car collection took 2 hours. I arrived on time and had all the pre-checkin requirements up loaded beforehand. On arrival, there was no communication, despite the fact that i was travelling with a young child. The car i received had not been cleaned, it had no fuel in it (5 miles in the tank), and was not roadworthy. it had warning lights showing it needed new brake pads / discs, low tyre pressure and was overdue a service. The return experience was even worse im afraid to say. It became clear that the Drivalia do not own the bus shuttle, there was an event on at Ingleston and the car parking company that runs the shuttle bus was busy and therefore just ignored Drivalia customers waiting to get to the Airport and left us waiting. This was immensly stressful for everybody needing to catch flights. In then end, 15 of us had to storm on to the bus, despite the parking company refusing us. The Drivalia people offered no help or support, they literally ignored people complaining or ask for alternative transport. This obviosuly created huge tension for people needing to catch flights.
This whole experience was absolutely disgraceful from start to finish. They should also be transparent and make people aware that the bus shuttle operated by the parking company is on a "best efforts" basis and they have no obligation to transport Drivalia customers.
We rented our car with no issues and the staff were great, we will be back again as we have family over here, big thanks to stuart for all the help.
I was travelling to Scotland for a family funeral so I booked a rental car at Edinburgh airport through EASY Car and they sub contracted it out to Drivalia which wasn't obvious when I booked. Once I had booked it I received an email with instructions on collecting the car. A few days later I received another email in which I was able to check in for the car to speed up the process at collection time. All seemed good so far.
The day before travelling I decided to familiarise myself with the instructions to collect the car and the first thing I noticed was I needed to get a shuttle bus to collect the car as Drivalia are based about 2 miles from the terminal but the shuttle bus is also for people who have parked off site at the airport so it gets very busy. I landed at Edinburgh and went to get the shuttle bus which was just pulling away from the bus stop when I got there, so I then had to wait 30 minutes for another. My car was due to be collected at 6pm but due to missing the shuttle bus I arrived at 6:30pm to find a waiting room full of people waiting for a car. I was given a bleeper and told to join the queue and my bleeper would go off when a car became available! There were at least 5 customers before me and the guy at reception estimated a wait of around 20 minutes per customer so if I was lucky I might get my car at about 8:30pm! There were families with small children that had already been waiting over an hour and a half.
While watching the goings on it became clear that they had no vehicles available and you had to wait for cars to be returned in order to obtain your rental car, which is totally unacceptable when you have a pre booked time for collection and are travelling on to another destination.
I then decided to ring Enterprise at the airport and booked a car with them, but now needed to get back to the airport to collect said car. Fortunately, I managed to flag down the shuttle bus which was leaving to go back to the airport and was able to collect my car from Enterprise. However, it was 8pm by now, so due to Drivalia's inefficiency I had lost 2 hours of my time, and as I was only in Scotland for 24 hours it was time I could ill afford to lose. I will not be using EASY Car again and will also steer well clear of Drivalia.
Beware: 1-hour late rule will cost you your booking and your money!
We had a terrible experience with Drivalia due to their rigid and unfair policies. Our flight was delayed, and we had to wait a long time at the baggage carousel—things that are completely normal and out of a traveler's control at an airport.Because of this, we arrived about 2 hours late to pick up our car. We were shocked to find out that Drivalia has a strict 1-hour grace period. They cancelled our booking, marked us as a "No-Show," and refused to give us a refund. An airport car rental company should have policies that accommodate standard flight delays. Instead, they took our money and left us stranded. Avoid them if you want peace of mind when traveling.

We rented a car in July, and upon arrival, we were told that for an extra £10 we would get better coverage, so we agreed. However, when I went to pay, the invoice had jumped from £470 to £920. I asked the employee about the increase, and he told me it was a deposit—unrelated to what we had booked—to cover any potential traffic fines.
An hour later, when I received the contract, I realized they had charged me twice for coverage on the exact same car. When I returned the vehicle, I spoke with a manager who promised they would refund my money. As of today, nothing has happened.
BE CAREFUL with what you sign and agree to, because they will try to "sneak in" a higher rate. Everything is now in the hands of my lawyers, and I will do whatever it takes to get back what is rightfully mine.

Waited 1hr 30mins to collect a car where I had completed all paperwork online and due to the delay was unable to pick up a disabled parent waiting in wheelchair at airport despite notifying staff. Upon return they claim I had damaged the tyre and wanted to claim for the damage but when pushed was unable to confirm that the damage wasnt there before I collected. By their own admission they are "cheap for a reason" AVOID AT ALL COST !

Shuttle took forever. Lady in the desk (Flo) was so not collaborative and harsh.
Car is not ready, incredible considering we arrived later than the time expected.
Now over 30 mins just to get the car.
Never ever again using this company

My booking was done by booking.com. The rental car showed signs of heavy wear and tear and hadn't been cleaned—there was animal fur in the trunk. There was an information (warning) relatet with oil inspection out of date. However, the worst issue was that the car was handed over without two existing defects being noted in the handover report (even though four others were listed). Even after we brought this to the staff's attention, the report wasn't corrected, and the matter was dismissed as trivial. Yet, upon the car's return, those very two defects were subjected to close scrutiny. Had we not taken photos when we first picked up the car, we almost certainly would have lost our security deposit.

Very poor experience. Our flight was late and we called multiple times to arrange a latr pick up. Once we got there, obviously the car had disappeared into thin air and the only option was a car twice as expensive...
Avoid this agency at all costs.

The price was good. The car was clean and in good condition. I didn't have to wait long for the paperwork to be sorted. The staff both the young lady who booked me in and the lad who brought out the car were both very friendly and polite. They were exceptional in their service.

Check in was fine, friendly service. Car had tyre inflation warning light on as soon as we drove off. Passenger seat was filthy, needed a good valet. Car had more than it's fair share of dents and scrapes. Return report said it was left back in average condition, that was exactly the condition I received it. I had the car for 12 hours.
