No order confirmation emails

No order confirmation emails, shipping email, nothing. Charge was pending on my account fir 3-4 days, then fell off. So I ordered a hard drive from someone else. 2 days later the charge showed up and went through. Still no confirmation order, feedback, nothing. Shipping was fast. Arrived in 2 days. But now, I have a second one on the way, from someone else, because I didn't think this order was completed. Oh, and I only had money in that account for 1 order, not 2. I had to quickly shift money from 1 account to another to cover this without incurring charges.

This is an unfortunate situation and review.

1 - The customer stated that they did not receive the order confirmation or shipment confirmation emails and we do not know why other than it was sent to spam/junk or there was a technical issue that was out of our control. When the email confirmations are generated they are sent to the customer, our order department, and the sales manager. In this case, we checked and all the confirmation emails show they were sent and confirmed received on our side.

2 - In regard to the customer stating the credit card charge was pending and then fell off, it can be confusing for customers how the charge process works.
Here is an explanation of how the credit card process works for an online order.
-Once you submit your payment information, our system sends a request to your bank to authorize the charge. This is like a temporary hold on the amount of the order. At this stage, the money is not yet taken from your account, but it is reserved for us to ensure that the funds are available. You might see this as a "pending" charge on your bank statement.
-With the authorization in place, we begin processing your order. After your order is ready to be shipped, we capture the charge. This means we finalize the transaction and the reserved amount is now deducted from your account. The "pending" status on your bank statement will change to a completed transaction.

3 - We did not know the customer was having an issue until we received this review. If we had been contacted by email or phone, we would have gladly worked to resolve any issues.

4 - Once we received the review, we contacted the customer immediately to discuss the situation. We offered the customer to return the order for a full refund since he mentioned he had ordered another drive from somewhere else, which they declined.

Customers are encouraged to leave reviews and we use all feedback to try and improve our services. Sometimes this process does not give us a chance to address and fix any problems before a review is posted. It is inevitable that things will go wrong, but what is important is how a company handles the situation. In this case, we feel we were not given the opportunity to address the customer's concerns and the customer could have contacted us before leaving a one star review, which we do not feel is warranted and can be harmful to our reputation.

Great price

Great price, very detailed information about the HDD and what was compatible with my PC. HDD was packed very carefully, arrived in a short time and both box and contents arrived undamaged. Commend both Drive Solutions and the USPS for an all around positive experience.

I am satisfied with the hard drive ordered from DriveSolutions.com

Its been some times since I was thinking to order some hard drive so I checked internet offers.
From what I found my eyes just kept looking on site called drivesolutions which is well done and I picked what I wanted and made order. As living in the middle of the EU it took some time to get it but I had handy email communication about shipping so everything went smooth and package arrived allright. Wanna thanks for this experiences and easily giving rating five stars from five. PS: English isnt my native language so there can be some typos.

Easy to determine what hard drive would…

Easy to determine what hard drive would match my ten year old Dell desktop. Dell itself initially let me order one directly but eventually conceded they no longer had it. So this was a great find. Excellent price and on time delivery in well packed box.

Review update:
DriveSolutions graciously "reached out to me" and explained their new Website safety updates and were apologetic for my troubles trying to signing on.
Now what I know what to look for, during sign-on, I have and will continue to order from them, after all their security updates protect their customers also.

Absolutely the worst ability to sign-in again!
After 20 minutes and two new passwords I gave up and just made a new eMail name and used my same name and the same shipping address.
