Alec is a great instructor, with good attention to detail and excellent diagrams for explaining what to do at junctions and roundabouts. I had two previous instructors who were, quite frankly, terrible, and gave me some pretty bad habits that likely would have led to me failing my driving test. I am so glad I switched to Alec for my test in Borehamwood, since he sorted those out quickly. Because of him, I passed on my first try.
Well I can honestly say, Alec is the only driver you need and want. He will get you passed with no problems!
Amazing instructor. Extremely patient and makes sure you understand everything fully. I initially hated driving and was never fully comfortable but after having my lessons with Alec my confidence grew and was able to become and confident and safe driver.

Finding a reliable driving instructor can be very challenging. I had one instructor previously and things didn’t really go well and failed my driving test the first time. I got in touch with Alec and from the very beginning, I got a good impression. He is fully booked all the time and now I understand why. However, he made space for me and accommodate a few lessons. One of the things that really liked about him was his honesty from day one, he advised he would only recommend the lessons I needed instead of charging me for extra lessons I didn’t need.
He is very experienced on the road and makes you feel comfortable, and there is always time for a joke. We focus on the areas I needed to improve but also corrected a few bad driving habits my previous instructor didn’t notice. I passed the test and feel I am a better driver now.
