Rude employee Drogheda Scotch Hall shop…

I went to the Drogheda Scotch Hall shop and bought two items in upper floor. Went downstairs to the ground floor and asked an employee in the till next to return and recycle where could I pay parking. Since I could not find it, returned and asked could she explain again as I wear hearing aides and maybe misunderstood. In an extremely rude and condescending tone she said ‘unbelievable’. My reply ‘have some compassion, it is free’. I felt discriminated over my disability or perhaps both my disability, age and not being Irish, not living in Drogheda. A total disgrace. Not surprised to see the Trust Pilot rating is 2. Should be -2. Even worse, employee was not Irish either. Next step is legal action.

Disappointing customer service

I bought a piece of clothing and, upon opening it, I discovered it was defective. When I reached out to customer service, they refused to issue a refund. This company has no sense of customer service—it's all about profit.

The one star is because I could not get my items, so what is the point of a shop? Went to jetland limerick. the mens underwear item that I came for were all interfered with, the were rummaged through and the packs were opened. This was probably done by members of the public but I have seen Dunnes stores staff choosing to close their eyes to this type of behavior before. Management needs to reward staff who enforce acceptable social behavior in their stores.

Dunnes Sizing Needs Urgent Review

Dunnes Sizing Needs Urgent Review - Its Not Just About Width You Know!
They consistently discriminate against tall, slim women. I would very much like to purchase some of their clothes, as it suits my budget and I like some of their styles, but find they are too short in the leg and arm length.
Their models online go up to 5'9/5'10 and 31" length sizing in a select few items - I am 6ft.and require longer clothing. Sometimes there isn't even an option for choosing the length - unlike the men's where options for lengths are always available. Dunnes would appear to have issues with accommodating for tall women; ranges from XS and XXL are no problem, but don't look for longer as we tall women don't appear to matter enough to be considered.

The arm length on their tops/jumpers/hoodies are also too short, having to constantly pull the sleeves down. If you do happen to find an arm length that fits properly, your hurrah is short lived; as the width of the garment resembles a sac which fits two people ! Why do tall ladies have to compromise, go elsewhere and pay more because Dunnes has a longer length problem ?
Dunnes accommodates for a popular narrative of women and negates any choices or options of a taller woman purchasing their clothing. Ankle or elbow bashing clothing is not comfortable or attractive. Come on Dunnes, bring yourselves into the real world; you can put extra inches into widths, why not length ? Tall men are accommodated, why not women ?

I just want to say a big thank you to…

I just want to say a big thank you to Paul O’Meara one of the Galway delivery drivers from Dunnes. He delivered my groceries with such kindness and took the time to chat with me for a few minutes. As an old woman living alone, small moments of kindness like this mean the world. Paul was friendly, polite, and truly brightened my day. It’s not just about great service—it’s about the people who make a difference, and Paul certainly did. Dunnes is lucky to have him! I really struggled to get his full name as he didn’t want any spotlight on him but I feel like he deserves it.

Never again

Never again. Horrible staff. My wife is Lithuanian and I'm Irish. The woman at the till taught she could treat my wife with disrespect as she had an issue with another customer taking her time with a purchase. This is a normal thing we all complain about from time to time. However the elderly woman at the till took issue with this and became rude to my wife. She changed her demeanor when I spoke up and she obviously seen I was Irish. I will never ever shop in this store again. I'm sure they will make some excuses but I was there and won't be told it was a misunderstanding.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Never received my items as the carrier delivered to a completely wrong address. Had to wait almost 2 weeks from the delivery date, whilst they investigated, to finally receive my refund. I'd buy from a store, but never again online

Very disappointed

Very disappointed! This happened today around 5:30pm I was charged two times for the same product! Thanks god I watch the receipt! I had only two items and was in the customer service till! Was a very rude and grumpy guy serving. From the start he was rude and impolite! Then I got a look of my receipt! He wasn't able to correct his own mistake and back me my money and called the manager of that shift! Any of them were telling me even sorry for the mistake. Because was mistake of that guy in the till he is not doing his job properly! And really the worst manager, she was angry and crossing arms instead to say sorry for the mistake. When I was working in the till I always accepted my mistakes and corrected them! Trying the customer is always happy! This is the attitude my manager teached us! The worst 2 workers 😒 those at 5:30pm! The other people is good!
The only way change those rude and bad customer service stuff!

Great delivery options and response reaction

We are long-time adopters of the Simply White tableware range but we moved out of Ireland 9 years ago. I ordered replacement pieces from the Netherlands and mistakenly entered the wrong address. I contacted them during the day (as I couldn't correct the address online) and they helped me immediately. Tableware arrived perfectly. An absolute delight for years to come!!! Love Dunnes!

Title: Spider Found in Sealed Chicken Slices – Disturbing Experience

I am deeply disappointed and disturbed by my recent experience with Dunnes Stores. I purchased a pack of Dunnes Stores Chicken Breast Slices from the Limerick store, only to discover a spider cooked into the slices, visible through the clear, sealed packaging.

The package has never been opened, and the spider was clearly inside when I purchased it. This incident raises serious concerns about the hygiene and quality control processes at Dunnes Stores.

I have taken photos and videos of the sealed package as evidence and have retained it for reference. I have contacted customer service, hoping for a swift investigation and resolution.

As a long-time customer, this experience has shaken my confidence in the safety of Dunnes Stores’ food products. I urge others to inspect their purchases carefully and for the company to address this issue urgently.

Poor customer relation skills with Dunnes employee...surprise surprise

Had a very upsetting encounter with a staff member at the Waterford City Branch.

A shelf full of colorful books in the middle of the kids clothes section had it's intended effect by catching the attention of my child. He was curious as any child would be to see that the pen inside the book revealed an array of colors when you wrote in the book.

I didn't notice that he tried this out in a book only to have an employee give out to me for not watching him while he wrote in the book.

I explained to her that I didn't see him do this and opened the book to see what he had done. This particular book had already been written in with colorful language and impossible that my kid did that given the time he was standing there.

I was most annoyed at the fact that for my family of 6, my minimum spend in the store each time I visit is around 100 euro.

To give out to me as if I purposely allowed my kid to write in a 6 euro book and to hear how this book couldn't be sold now, in my view, was way out of line in a retail store. Not when I am walking out with basket full of clothes.

I felt as if this was an inconsistent approach by the employee because I am visibly not Irish.

A different approach was required as it was evident that kids before me had written in this book.... Perhaps putting a sticker on a book for kids to try? Or pleasantly telling my kid he is not supposed to do this?

Parents with kids don't visit Dunnes for a day out.... Obviously we are looking at clothes and can't be watching our kids every move.

If my kid was tearing up garments, yes by all means, it is my fault and I will buy that garment. But don't give out to me as a paying customer of the store with a basket full of clothes for a 6 euro book.

This is basic knowledge in retail. Perhaps Dunnes stores should provide better customer relation training for their staff...

Grocery Click n collect Ashleaf not fit for purpose

While I appreciate that the Ashleaf is a newish centre for Dunnes click and collect groceries, the service is NOT yet fit for purpose. Each time I have collected my order, a substantial number of items which were paid for and listed on the receipt were not in the crates. In fact my entire fridge section was not delivered on one occasion. This amounted to approximately 15 items. The next time my entire dry cupboard items were missing from the order. I phoned on both occasions and while the staff were very helpful and apologetic, I had a long wait for the shopping to be brought to my car - I was 40 minutes waiting in early January and had to phone back B4 my missing products arrived. All in all it took me 90 minutes to collect my shopping. I would have been quicker visiting the store in person.

I appreciate that the shop is very busy but this is unacceptable. The staff were doing their best but we're clearly understaffed, totally overwhelmed and not supported by a manager.

The service in the Ashleaf should take a look at the logistics in Kilnamanagh.or The Beacon where I have never encountered such issues.

I sent a complaint to the click and collect email but got no response.

I am qualified in customer service and I was in Enniskillen branch reference returning items. customer service zero out of ten so asked for manager again zero out of ten. Result Dunnes looses two hundred pounds a week in sales from my family and my parents. Plus clothing. Well done Dunnes buying for thirty years and out took you ten minutes to turn me completely against company. Hello and wake up there is Asda Tesco and marks and Spencer for groceries and numerous clothing outfits. You need to train your staff. As for all the stupid rules eg you can not use your food voucher the same day. Dates to limit when you use your voucher and thirty day to do return over Christmas no thanks will go elsewhere where.

Caroline Donnelly very disappointed

Caroline Donnelly very disappointed. I recently purchased one of the coats from Caroline Donnelly The Edit in Dunnes. I would have associated this designer as one of quality however I was very disappointed, after the first wear of the coat the cross stitching on the elbow was unraveling. Unacceptable for any garment no matter who the manufacturer is. I will give the coat credit and say it is warm. But this issue has left me wondering if I would put hard earned money towards a named designer again.

Rubbish click and collect

Did a click and collect for first time with dunnes stores arklow last night to collect this morning between 11&12. Arrived at Dunnes at 11am this morning rang the number on the bay girl advised she would be with us few mins. 5 mins later she came down to say they had a system issue and our order would be delayed by an hour. When I asked why no one phoned us before we travelled 20min to say it was delayed. She couldn't ans me and rang someone who i then spoke to he advised he could put shopping out for delivery for me to arrive between 2 and 4pm. We took this option and went back home to wait in. By 4pm stl no shopping and no phone call. Money came out of my account for shopping. I rang again to be told it was out of their control and driver will be with me within the hour. When asked why no one called me told out of their control. Husband then rang to complain to the manager Derwk who proceeded to hang up on my Husband. So it is now 6.15 in the eve and we still have no shopping. And no been held accountable. Our whole day spent waiting when we couldve just gine and done it in the shop physically last night. Never again will I shop using online ith Dunnes. I will go back to Tesco. Who are so much more reliable.
