Unexpected low-quality UV printing, widest tape shell selection.

Request a test print before placing a full UV printing order.
While they have the widest selection of tape supplies (i.e. shell and case colours, labels, packaging, and printing services) and are pretty friendly, we are all still human and things go awry.
In my case, blurry overspray on UV printed cassette shells. While I did consult their printing department before submitting high-resolution artwork to ensure good quality, I still recieved shells with overly dark colouring and noticable overspray; the final artwork appearing with compression artifacts.

Followed up with customer service to see if something more could have been done on my end, but was told that overspray is normal and was offered 15% off my next order, which dosn't solve the quality control problem.

I usualy get UV printing done with BandCD and other international manufacterers but turned to dupe after overseas rates increased. Will but going back and eating the extra cost to ensure a consistent quality product in the future.

Incessant display of moronicism

I’ve had multiple issues working with Duplication.ca over several orders, and unfortunately the experience has been consistently disappointing. It's also worth noting that I'm working with many various labels and artist clients who have all had similar experiences; shipments arrived late relative to the production timelines indicated in the quote, and when they did arrive, a number of tape and CD cases were damaged.

What was most frustrating wasn’t just the manufacturing and shipping problems themselves, but the lack of acknowledgment, accountability or responsibility from customer service when these issues were raised. They are horrible at communicating and super stand offish and short. Physical releases depend heavily on timing and presentation, so reliability and communication matter a lot. I was hoping for a smoother process and clearer follow-through, but that hasn’t been my experience in well over a decade of working with them. Unfortunately they are one of the only places to press tapes and CDs in the area.

I’d recommend confirming timelines and packaging expectations very carefully before committing to a project.

Similar experience to other reviewer

Similar experience to the other negative review unfortunately, my first experience with them was great however recently it's taken days for the customer service representative to respond each time. I asked if they're still able to make the date I needed the tapes by and they recommend adding a $250 rush in order to have the tapes "in hand" by March 6. They then sent the order to production days after it had been paid in full and only shipped the order on March 6 after I followed up. They're ignoring my request for a refund for the rush they suggested to have the tapes in time. Scam.

They ignore their mistakes...

Initially had a good experience. But then they f_cked up an order and ignored my multiple requests to rectify their error. There are plenty of other companies out there that do the same thing....

I have used this company for all of my…

I have used this company for all of my cassette releases. The quality is the best! The price is the best! The cassettes sound fantastic and the print of the j-cards is vibrant and high quality. I highly recommend this company. Their customer service was on point and the entire project happened in a very reasonable time frame. I will be back as a customer for sure.

If you have your producer create a master specifically for cassette tape, you'll be BLOWN away with the tape this company uses. Out of many vinyl releases and CD releases, the cassettes are by far my favorite way to listen to any of my albums.

I love these guys

I love these guys. I've used them for blank tapes and for professional CD duplication even though I am in the US. They are cheap, flexible, helpful and fast.
