Shocking Service!

We paid £572.39 on 09/09/2021 to have work carried out to replace suspension springs. On 18/09/21 we noticed the car was making noises it hadn't been doing prior to the work Durham Remaps carried out so my husband telephoned the garage and was told to bring the car straight through. We did this and were told the suspension top mounts needed replacing and we were charged a further £209.78 and booked in to have work done on the following Tuesday and were told a courtesy car would be provided. If the top mounts were in need of replacing, why wasn't this noted at the time of replacing the springs?

The car was brought back to Durham Remaps to have this work carried out on 21/09/21 at 8.30 am. I arrived with my son before work and school to leave the car and collect the courtesy car. I was told there was no courtesy car available. I had to take a day off work and my son couldn't get to school as the garage is 9 miles from where we live. I returned 2 hours later (after sitting in a cafe) to collect the car, however after driving the car for around 2 minutes, the noise was still audible. I brought the car straight back to be told there had been issues with same springs fitted to different cars recently and the ones on our car would be replaced free of charge as it was still under warranty.

Mr Phillips proceeded to tell me that he would definitely have a courtesy car available the following week and it would be all fixed, cleaned and ready for me to use. We were called on 27/09/21 and asked to bring the car back on 28/09/21 to complete the work to replace the faulty springs. Yet when speaking to another member of staff on the telephone on 27/09/21 to arrange a time for drop off I was told that there would be no courtesy car available! Due to this neither myself nor my husband would be able to get to work after dropping off the car and the appointment was rearranged to 04/10/21.

My husband brought the car to the garage as arranged, still no courtesy car available! And no further work was carried out! Darren told my husband, the springs 'need time to settle in'. After 4 weeks of being used every day??? How can this be? When would you expect them to be 'settled in' and stop making the grinding noise? Darren also said we would have to pay another £1000+ for coil overs. If this would be required to stop the grinding, surely this (along with the top mounts) should have been mentioned at the time the original work was carried out on the suspension and done at the same time?

Why was I assured the springs would be replaced under warranty and then they were not? Why have we been repeatedly told you would have a courtesy car available for us to use only for us to find out on the day that there isn't?
I sent a complaint to Mr Phillips at Durham Remaps on 05/10/2021 and as of today 23/11/2021 I have had no reply and the car still makes the awful noises.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I called to get a quote on a remap for my car around 3 weeks ago, I gave my car registration plate and also all details of the car. I was quoted a price and the gains I would get on the car. I was happy with it, and paid a £50 deposit.

3 weeks later I make my 2 hour drive at 6am to Durham Remaps where I am told that they have the wrong details on my car and in fact will get completely different (lower) gains on the car. I was fine with this, and was told to come back 4 hours later.

3 hours later I receive a call to say my car is un tuneable and the ECU is locked. Why couldn’t he have told me with over the phone? I went into reception where I was told a load of none sense and that my car had a 69 plate ECU although the car is an 18 plate?? I have attached the invoice below of my refund for this to prove this in fact happened.

I am sure the owner will reply to this review to say I am a fake customer, the same as he does with every review. Crook company, avoid at all costs
