I ordered about 150 bulbs fall 2025

I ordered about 150 bulbs fall 2025. Assortmt of daffodils, alliums and snowdrops. In general, they came up pretty good except a new variety Allium Tropical Tides. Out of 8 only 1 has come up, and the head doesn't look well formed and hasn't opened.
Otherwise, yes all good

When plants germinate successfully but then die at a very small stage, this can often point to growing conditions after planting, such as moisture levels, drainage, weather, or early establishment stress.

Some plants were good buys. Others, not so.

Hostas are good. Columbines did well. But Echinacea, Echinops, and Eryngium never sprouted. 4/10 plants in my order failed to grow.
Ordered in January and shipping was well timed for my area.

Edit: DutchGrown replied to my lower star review and after I reached out to customer service via email, they did a refund for the plants that did not grow. The process was fast and friendly. I am happy with the resolution. Updated star rating to reflect the refund process. I may try again next year since they are plants that I was truly looking forward to seeing in my landscape, however since I'm not sure why the plants failed to grow and put in effort to give them optimal conditions, I'm slightly apprehensive.

Got these bulbs right at the planting…

Got these bulbs right at the planting time, so there was no temptation to plant too early. They just came up this year.
All the tulips were gorgeous and as advertised. The allium giganticum was super variable. Some were big some were small. Some tall, some stout. None of them had globes as large as advertised. I don’t think any of the anemone’s came up. So tulips A+Allium B-, anemone C- (I’ll leave a little room for climate soil etc).

Avoid Them: Find alternative vendor

So disappointing I ordered 18 different bare roots for a total of $320. Only 4 of them survived. I suggest you find a good local nursery for the plants you want.

Your order contained a large collection of different perennial bare roots. When an entire mixed order experiences such extensive losses across many unrelated varieties, this usually indicates that factors beyond the quality of the roots themselves may have affected establishment.

I ordered three different varieties of…

I ordered three different varieties of dahlias and after comparing what was ordered to what was received, there was a discrepancy. (Ordered Bacardi, received Mercedes). Also I followed instructions for belong the tubers wake up and only about half survived.

Unreliable plants

I bought oxalis, irises, calla lilies, toad lilies, and columbines from here. Only the oxalis actually grew. I thought I would give this site a chance to explore new options but I will be sticking with more reliable sites from now on. This site has low prices for a reason: not worth buying.

Bought 8 Tuberose bulbs

Bought 8 Tuberose bulbs, NOT ONE sprouted. delivered mar 26 2026..Gave them 6 weeks to 'come alive' unfortunately all seem to be dead. Contacted company 2 times..no response. Put a dilute into PayPal for refund since company can't seem to answer to a problem with what they sell
UPDATE..Dutchgrown has made this right and followed thru. Misunderstanding on no answers to my emails.I would probably buy from them again , changed from 1 star rating to 5 stars

Very disappointed with the outcome

Re; Order# UK290132. Now that all the 13 bulbs and tubers have had a chance to grow, I am very disappointed with the outcome. The Dahlia tubers were extremely small (in a large bag of compost) and the other bulbs were also small. None of the 3 shooting star bulbs grew, only 2 of the 3 lupins have grown. The oriental poppy has grown long green leaves, but no flower(s). The peony has foliage but no flower(s). The Dahlias are starting to grow, but are so weak compared with others from another source, and if they do produce any flowers, they will be extremely small. So overall, not a good experience with buying online. I am an experienced gardener and will most likely shop in person for any future purchases.

Several of the items mentioned, including peonies and oriental poppies, commonly establish foliage in their first season and do not always flower immediately. Dahlias are also still relatively early in their growing season and their eventual flower size cannot be determined from their current stage of growth.

That said, if some varieties genuinely failed to emerge, we would have appreciated the opportunity to review the issue directly and assist you under our Grow Guarantee.
