Large selection

Ordering was easy and they had a great selection still available at the end of April. I'm fairly new to growing dahlias, so I think the people who have been in love with them for a long time, tend to order early and my local growers had a very limited quantity and selection available. My order came quickly, and I will update once the bulbs start growing - fingers crossed all of the bulbs actually sprout, and that none of them have gall.

False advertising

False advertising. Paying $30 for a collection and only one large clump. Many in the clump had broken necks. For $30 it should have been 1 of each flower not just 1 flower. Out of 3 collections maybe got 5-6 dahlia tubers. The cost was $100. Not good collections. Also Alliums were all decayed and no refund. Bad experience.

We are very sorry to read this review. Kind reminder, the allium issue was reported in late February, well past the fall planting season, when the bulbs should have been planted when they were delivered in fall.

2nd purchase as good as the first.

This is the second time I've bought bare roots and bulbs from DutchGrown, they've all been high quality. Bulbs are large, bare roots are healthy. No issues whatsoever.

I received my bare root plants…

I received my bare root plants approximately 3 weeks ago and there is not any growth on them yet. really disappointed. Can i get a replacement shipment?? Order #393814... 5-10-26 Update one root is currently growing, nothing on the second one. Dutch has contacted me and refunded me for the second root.

Polka Dahlias

I ordered 2 Polka Dahlias, in addition to several Fall bulbs not yet delivered. The Dahlias were planted in pots on 4/24/26 according to instructions. Nothing has happened yet. The "eye" on both look dead. Both were taken indoors to the garage if threat of frost was forecasted. I may not be giving them enough time, but I've grown Dahlias before & this seems odd to me. I'll give it more time to see what happens.

UPDATE: Company indicated more time needed for Dahlias, therefore, I shall give it more time as mentioned. Thank you!

In the past

In the past, I’ve had problems with the quality and ordering of dahlia tubers. From rotted tubers. Peanut-sized tubers. Finding out months later the order cannot be filled. I even had a huge order completely mislabeled which resulted in a less than desirable look in the garden as the dahlias were in established beds and not a cutting garden. I now know where to buy dahlia tubers. My order was quickly expedited. I am excited to see their tulip and daffodil bulbs.

You had the dahlia that I was looking…

You had the dahlia that I was looking for and hopefully and ultimately more important you sent the right ones without substitution- the last vendor subed me two years in a row. very disappointing, plant the bulbs, nurture the plants and then when it is too late to do anything you find out that they are the wrong color-clashing with the whole rest of the garden in the front of house.

No Jack Frost plants for you

I ordered 6 Jack Frost plants. In order to get free shipping, I ordered 2 Agapanthus, which I really had no interest in. The order arrived with the Agapanthus and a note saying you didn't have any Jack Frost to sell me. How ironic.

I purchased dahlia tubers

I purchased dahlia tubers. Without growing of course, I enjoyed the offered clumps rather than individual tubers. Price was ok. Excellent packing and shipping. Very timely as well.

This order was for 250 bulbs that were…

This order was for 250 bulbs that were planted soon after delivery. Daffodil Mount Hood, Daffodil Naturalizing, and Allium Azureum bloomed very well to our enjoyment. This past winter we had snow cover lasting over two months and many sub-freezing days. The Allium Roseum, and Allium Bulgaricum (Sicilian Honey Garlic) appear to be casualties. All these bulbs were purchased due to local animal life feeding habits. The Allium would be a nice addition if we can solve the loss issue.
