Citroën uk is possibly the worst for…

Citroën uk is possibly the worst for customer service!! 19 plate c5 aircross, the gearbox failed, having only done just over 30k miles. After many emails they begrudgingly agreed to pay half, only after we had paid for many other tests, eventually costing us £3500 towards the new
gearbox. If the guy from Citroën UK had just contacted the gearbox manufacturer and requested a replacement it could have been sorted. He was so unhelpful and obviously new nothing about the workings of a car!! How do people get and keep these jobs!! Having had Citroën cars since the 80s (11 in total) we will never buy another one! Kia have a much longer warranty and much better customer service.

Untrustworthy

I bought a Vauxhall Mokka from them just over 2 months ago. It was I think overpriced but I was assured it was a high spec vehicle. It was missing a parking sensor and I was told repeatedly that ‘the wrong part had been sent’ or that they couldn’t get this part despite it being easily available in Aberdeen. I took the car without that sensor having been told they would post it to me to get fitted locally. It didn’t happen. I have emailed a few times to get no reply. I asked the salesman when I went to pick the car up that the timing belt had been changed, but there is no record of that having been done. I wish I had read other reviews before buying ! Bunch of chancers is an understatement!

Duthies Montrose

Duthies Montrose, terrible customer service. Completely unprofessional. You’d be better flying to the moon rather than dealing with them. Mickey Mouse establishment run by clowns 🤡

Citroen will scam you when there’s nothing wrong with your car. Keep Away

Got a letter from citroen regarding a call up for the model due to faulty software on their side which h would be free of charge. Took the car in and got a call saying I need to replace my time belt which has 4 months left amongst other things. I tell them the car was called up regarding faulty software so why are you quoting these prices as I could take the car to a local garage and get it checked out myself. This is basically a scam for you to take your car in for a free software upgrade as it was a manufacturers fault. Please be aware guys when they ask you for a callback they are seeking money from you for other things. I will not buy a Citroen ever again

Suspected Dodgy MOT

They sold a car with a full MOT with no issues whatsoever . The car has now done less than 1000 miles but completely rusted underneath more than it should so I suspect was given a dodgy MOT just to sell . They refuse to help so best advice is to avoid .

Unscrupulous dealer - BEWARE!

Agreed a price to buy my car through Motorway. The price was already much lower than the reserve and fully reflected the small amount of damage which is to be expected on a 6 year old car. They waited a week to pull out of the sale claiming they didn’t think I’d agree to an even lower price.
Car reg BR10 GEM. Now sold to WBAC for more than agreed price with Duthies.

Excellent service from Wilnecote Motors…

Excellent service from Wilnecote Motors Citroen garage. We had a problem with both keys and although we changed the battery the one wouldn't work at all. Gave them a call and tried something else to no avail but then we took it to them and they fixed the problem very quickly whilst we waited.

Serious fault with car + Awful customer care

My 2017 c3 developed a serious fault due to the timing belt delaminating. This is a known fault with the puretech engines and they have since changed the material of the timing belts. Cars with the turbo engines were recalled in the uk but not my similar petrol ones. There are many forums describing this fault and how many cars have been affected but no recall as yet in the UK but some companies eg Peugeot are repairing cars with these issues in a goodwill gesture. However, My experience with Citroen customer care has been horrendous! I have phoned and emailed countless times and been passed from one claim handler to another. They’ve had my car for over 7 weeks and After originally being told if it is a manufacturing fault they would cover repair costs, they have now said they will not extend any goodwill to help with the £2000 repair bill due to my service history. Feel completed misled by Customer Care and let down by Citroen for not recalling my car due to this issue in the first place. Will never buy or recommend another Citroen car ever again.

Crazy price hike

Seen jeep on lot for £16,495 in window, enquire with salesman and as jeep was just in it hadn't been looked at properly so price might rise slightly, was really keen so I went back to see same guy and said such as, he says jeep will go up by £1000 as needed 2 tyres and discs and pads on front, which I was fine with due to having to do the items above to motor, go back next day and see jeep is up for £3500 dearer than what it was 1st advertised for, extremely disappointed and angry at how I've been treated, guy couldn't even be bothered to phone me to tell me about it I went all the way there to be told this nonsense. Am I wrong or is this out of order??

Nissan Micra Essenza C+C

We bought my wife's car there a couple of years ago and personally it was a good car except for some small issues with the salesman saying the cat had been serviced especially after saying they had cleaned and oiled behind the door lock on the passenger side he really put his foot in it when he had said o yes we serviced even the lock when he removed the cover it was covered in dirt.
After about 1 week we returned to complain about the roof rattling in the boot they said it was normal I should have took it further but you get what you pay for from a dodging garage who the owner knows nothing about I bet. I later repaired the car with new rubber mounts which cost me £100 apart from that you won't get me buying a car from them again.
