I just had my dyslexia assessment with the dyslexia test centre and I can’t praise them enough for their professionalism; their kindness and their human touch that can make one feel appreciated and supported.
Jannette was amazing to take me through the first steps after I completed my self screening questionnaire and book my full assessment and then after I had my results though I had just called to complete my payment she was kind enough to hear my questions and my concerns in relation to passing my dyslexia traits to my son and giving me prescious advice simply out of the kindness of her heart despite she didn’t need to. Made me feel so valued and supported and definitely understood which sometimes in these circumstances assessors can be cold or distant.

Helen completed my full assessment and she was absolutely brilliant too! First of all she was a great knowledgeable professional who showed genuine interest in me and my circumstances. Being assessed and then diagnosed at the age of 43 with dyslexia can be challenging but if you are supported properly you almost feel like you love yourself even more for what you have achieved all your life till this age. And Helen did that for me! She didn’t skim on attention to details about my life and how I have done things so far. Took the time to understand me and give me feedback as we progressed the assessment and then went above and beyond for me by asking me to do some extra writing to help her cover every detail or angle of the assessment. By the end of it I felt like I made a new friend. She gave me lists of advice which she sent in writing in her report as well and made this journey certainly more easy and even an enjoyable learning curve discovering parts of my skills I was not aware of and giving reason to why I do things I do.

I am very grateful to Janette and Helen and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to complete this assessment and find out better ways to support oneself through life and challenges. Will definitely knock on their door again if I need a specialist advice because for me they were absolutely amazing!

I made my enquiry purely to help my 12 year old get the help he needs to navigate secondary school. I had been researching and trying to find the right path. I stumbled Accross the Dyslexia Test centre and I absolutely cant fault them. Jeanette has amazing knowledge, current and up to date. Letting me know what can help me to help my son. My experience with DTC has been outstanding. My daughter, 18, was being assessed after school had been unable to find out over five years why there was a gap between her ability and her grades. Throughout, the communication was excellent, and the care taken went above and beyond. DTC did what no one had been able to do up to that point, giving us answers that mean my daughter can access the support she needs to fly at university.

Perhaps the thing that most marked them out apart from the skill of assessing well was the priority on connection – both with my daughter and with me. Right from the initial phone call, their relationship building was excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I’ve had a few assessments lately and as a now / late diagnosed auDHDer was a little reserved about another assessment and its toll on my wellbeing and energy levels, knowing how draining others had been. From the consultation to the lengthy assessment I didn’t feel any heightened anxiety, the team explained the process well in advance and I was pleasantly surprised at how energised I felt throughout, it didn’t feel like an assessment, more like a comforting chat with a friend with a few short games thrown in for fun. The detailed report came back super quick and is beyond what I expected (in a good way). I finally have another one of my missing pieces explained, and some valuable adjustment suggestions for the future. Thank you, thank you!!!

Helen and Jeanette were both really lovely and helpful. They explained the while process really well, my children both felt at ease when they did their assessment with Helen. The report and advice were really helpful.

Kind, empathetic, intuitive and so very knowledgeable. Helen made my teenage son feel completely at ease throughout the assessment process. Her guidance and tips over and above the work she was actually being paid to do have been so incredibly useful. Would recommend The Dyslexia Centre and their work in a heartbeat.

Such a wonderful experience. Helen was amazing and made me feel so much at ease throughout the assessment! Money is secondary and this centre puts people first. From my experience all the other places focused more on the financial aspect than the patient. I now come away knowing my strengths and know exactly how to turn things around thanks to the Dyslexia Test Centre! The ladies were so helpful, I really got to know myself even better after taking these tests. This has been life changing.

This was a great experience - I felt very comfortable and that I was in a safe place to be myself and obtain answers to questions I have been asking my whole life. I felt very understood and I was guided through the process. This assessment was able to give me all the answers and information about myself.

Even though the assessment is lenghty, Helen made it easier to understand and assist me all the way. She is very professional and talented.

Helen was amazing, easy to talk to, and clearly, had high levels of empathy. Facing this cloud over your head fpr many years has been my biggest challenge. Furthermore it doesnt help when people tell you myths about now "the assessments " as if was something that is daunting and scary. It was far from it, and Helen played a Pivotal role in this. I finally understand what plagued me and why! The report after the assessment provided the information, but the post assessment call was what added the meat to the bone and demonstrated the level of care required to make sure I was looked after.

We contacted Helen and Jeanette when we realised we needed to complete a dyslexia assessment for our 8-year-old daughter . They were helpful and reassuring from the beginning. They guided us well in the run up to the assessment, completed the assessment thoroughly and sensitively, and then provided a very helpful and comprehensive report. They are continuing to provide excellent advice to us following the report. It's obvious start to finish that Jeanette are highly expert and that they also care a great deal. We cannot recommend them more highly!

My son recently had a full assessment for dyslexia and dysgraphia. The process was very thorough and neuro affirming throughout with gentle encouragement and noticing strengths as well as difficulties. The report itself has been incredibly comprehensive and clear recommendations for school and us!

Had my 8 year old assessed a while ago and couldn’t be happier, we all know how to best support his needs now and he is already progressing and starting to enjoy reading, even asking to read books to me. The report is very lengthy and detailed which is just what I needed as I was getting overwhelmed with all the things I was wanting to help him with. I love the fact that he has this report to keep for his own self esteem and motivation going forward too as he can see that he can achieve aswell as everyone else if his learning is tailored to the way he prossessess information and some interventions are put in place to overcome the barriers x
