Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 258 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People frequently complained about unhelpful customer service representatives, long waiting times on the phone, and frustrating delays when trying to resolve warranty or replacement issues. Consumers also reported poor product durability and exorbitant prices, noting that expensive appliances broke down shortly after purchase or arrived with missing parts. Though some customers experienced major difficulties, a small group of reviewers were completely satisfied with the performance of specific items and owned multiple devices. Some people specifically praised the fast drying speeds of the hair tools or found certain cleaning functions useful for their household.

I would give it zero if I could

I would give it zero if I could! Sent a broken air purifier fan to be repaired in April. Never received any communication telling me it was received, which it was a few days later. Called multiple times over the next 3 MONTHS trying to see if would be repaired and they could only tell me it was received. Finally get a voicemail telling me to return their call and the number they left is not in service. Call the only number listed online probably 3-4 more times and same thing, it’s been received and someone will contact me. Finally today (July 7) I get 2 emails, one is a bill for zero and the other is telling me they are returning my fan back to me still broken because they could not contact me! I called AGAIN today and customer service rep completely unhelpful. Also tried to reply to email and of course, does not accept replies. DO NOT BUY A DYSON!!!Worst customer service I have ever experienced! C. Secrest

I purchased the Dyson Airwrap…

I purchased the Dyson Airwrap multi-styler and dryer straight & wavy on July 23rd, 2023. Although my Dyson is was longer under warranty, it has not worked for over a year. I stopped using it and decided with summer arriving and with having a less busy schedule, I would look into getting support to fix it. I first chatted with the online chat system to see if they could troubleshoot, which they could not. They told me about the Dyson Repair Center in Paramus, NJ, where I could bring my device to be looked at. I went to the repair center, and they took my device completely apart and told me the device would never be able to work again because of a MANUFACTURING ISSUE. There was no way to repair my device. I was only offered two options:
- 20% off of a new air wrap
- A refurbished one for $150

The service center was filled with people who had issues with the air wrap specifically. Regardless of whether it was under warranty or not, they were all able to get it fixed and only had to pay $50 if it wasn't warranted. That was based on user error, where mine is a case where it is the manufacturers fault.

None of those options sounded fair like they compensated for my issue, considering I spent $600 for a Dyson that had a manufacturing issue, REGARDLESS of the warranty since it was NOT my fault. I asked if I could think about it so I could reach out to the company and the man DID NOT WANT to put my device back together so I could take it with me, so he kept my device and wrote my "offer" - what I stated above - on a post-it note.
I reached out to the live chat again, but they told me to reach back out to the service center. Not only was this a terrible product, the customer service is also terrible.

Dyson is supposed to be known for their LONG LASTING, high quality products, and mine came with a manufacturing issue, which is not high quality at all and nothing is being done to rectify this. Now, there are so many air wraps on the market that are competing with Dyson for cheaper, but are being made to last longer than Dyson.

What an expensive disappointment

I am so disappointed in my Dyson experience. My husband bought me the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer a few years ago - a $400 purchase at the time. The motor crapped out so after I tried to troubleshoot it, I reached out to customer service to be told that, 1 - the warranty period is over, and 2 - if I wanted to fix it, I’d have to drive hours away (over a bridge and into another state) to Dyson-certified repair shop. The customer service rep I spoke with offered literally no other solution. Not even a discount on another dryer. He said he’d send details of other products - I received nothing. I tried to post a review on their site - no surprise, there is no way to do it. For the cost, they should stand by their product and customers. Buyer beware.

Warranty problem!

Hello,

Very poor warranty support service. 4 months each week I got only the same answer”not in stock please write us again after week”. No dates no order nothing. Problem is that I have bought air wrap iD with full set and one nozzle is broken. And they can’t even send or change it in 4 Months!!!! Never again buying something

Would Not Buy Dyson Again

I am extremely disappointed with my Dyson Submarine vacuum. After only one year of normal use, the battery has stopped working completely. When I contacted customer service, I was told the warranty had expired and that I would have to purchase a replacement battery myself.

For a vacuum at this price point, I expected far better quality and longevity. A premium product should last much longer than a year without requiring an expensive replacement part.

I purchased Dyson because of its reputation, but this experience has completely changed my opinion. Spending this much money on a vacuum only to have the battery fail so quickly is unacceptable.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this product, and I will not be purchasing another Dyson in the future.

Zero stars of I could

Zero stars of I could. New vacuum had a $15 part break. After 3 weeks of out of stock they finally ship the part. Received a filter for a fan. I don’t even own a Dyson fan. Another two week wait for back in stock only to get an email saying the part order had been cancelled. After jumping through hours of hoops I get the part shipped again (after waiting 3 weeks for stock again). You guessed it, wrong part. After 2 days of arguing with them telling me “no really it’s a similar part you just don’t know how to install it” they finally sent me a label to return the entire vacuum (for a broken $15 part). A week for it to get there and 14 days to process, another week to receive it. Vacuum worked for 45 seconds and stopped running, no exaggeration. Yup, another label, another 3 week wait again.

I’ve used my new vacuum 5 days (and 45 seconds) out of the last 12 weeks.

Awful awful awful awful worst ever experience with a product!!!!

Poor design

We bought a Dyson Ball vacuum and it doesn't have a way to manually raise and lower the vacuum for different pile carpets/rugs. Instead it has an automatic system which is poorly designed making it impossible to vacuum some rugs and carpets. I'm sending it back and doubt I will ever try their products again

Thinking about Buying a Dyson? Think again.

Our 700.00 model Dyson is only three years old. Although we were in contact for the many issues and made numerous complaints for the problems including that the housing comes off when I try to empty it, customer service stalled until the warranty ran out. They kept telling us the damaged parts were backordered. The attachments are also falling apart. I would have been off with a cheaper model from another manufacturer. We were sold a defective model, which they didn’t want to replace.

I have always been a loyal Dyson…

I have always been a loyal Dyson customer and am also a business owner and licensed cosmetologist for a multi-unit salon company. I love Dyson products, which is why my recent experience was so disappointing.

About a week ago, I spent over 30 minutes on a chat with customer service asking if there was any professional or loyalty discount available for purchasing two Airwraps. I was told no, so I went ahead and purchased both at full price.

The very next day after they arrived, Dyson put them on sale for $150 off each. When I called customer service, I was told they couldn’t honor the sale price because of the color I had purchased. Instead, the only option was to return both opened and used units for a refund and reorder two different ones at the sale price.

As a business owner, I know that time is money. It makes no sense for Dyson to pay for return shipping, process two returned units, ship two new ones, and incur all the associated costs instead of simply honoring the discount on the products I had already received. It would have been a smarter, more cost-effective solution for everyone.

It’s disappointing that a company of Dyson’s size doesn’t empower its employees to make common-sense decisions that benefit both the customer and the business. I still love Dyson products, but this experience has certainly changed my perception of the company’s customer service.
Obviously their bureaucracy is more important than the customer service.

I would give 0 stars if I could

I would give 0 stars if I could. Do not send your Dyson for a repair if you ever want to see it back. After sending My Dyson for repair, I was told that they are not able to fix it, they attempted to sell me the new one, which I did. I asked them to ship my original Dyson back, which they said they will in like 7 days. It has been almost 2 months, and after multiple chat and phone conversations with Dyson Team they refuse to send it back. Horrible experience all together!

I missed the return window and regret this purchase

I bought the Dyson Clean & Wash Hygiene expecting a premium product that would make floor cleaning easier. Unfortunately, it has been one of the most disappointing purchases I have made in years.

The cleaning performance is average at best, while the maintenance is excessive. After every use I have to empty dirty water, remove wet debris by hand, wash multiple parts, clean the roller, and then listen to a loud 30+ minute drying cycle. The self-cleaning function does not leave the roller properly clean, so additional manual cleaning is still required.

I purchased the product under Dyson's trial period, but due to moving house I only started using it regularly after the return window had expired. Had I tested it earlier, I would have returned it immediately.

I regret both the money spent and the trust I placed in the Dyson brand when purchasing this model. If given the choice today, I would choose a traditional vacuum cleaner and mop over this machine without hesitation.

Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene Wet and Dry Hard Floor Cleaner

Coming from Dyson, I expected more. But this is the biggest POS I have ever purchased.

It doesn't clean against the wall or cabinet; it just leaves a trail of detritus behind that you have to go back and clean up. The front or sides just push dirt and crap into that space.

The included detergent (or whatever Dyson is calling it) is a complete non-starter. No matter how much or how little you add to the water, this piece of garbage just make gobs of foam; and it gets everywhere. And it takes about 8 rinses to get it out of the roller. (Actually, I've tried using it a couple more times and I'm still getting gobs of foam! Unbelievable!!!)

My biggest regret, outside of purchasing this in the first place, was to wait too long to first use it. I'm out of the 30 day return period, so I'm stuck with this piece of crap.

Anyone want to buy it from me. I'll take $1.

So Very Disappointing

I bought a Dyson Big Ball some years ago for my vacation property so it gets used maybe 8 times a year, this vacuum was not inexpensive but has turned out to be disappointingly useless So much for my trust in a supposedly reputable company. Dyson products are expensive and expected to live up to a certain standard. This machine is clumsy and difficult to use. The beater brush does not work on any type of carpet and scatters debris on flooring. I do not understand the purpose of the brush on this vacuum. The vacuum is cheaply made, does not right itself and constantly binds on its cord. I would never again buy a Dyson product.

No Support When Parts Are Missing From New Vacuums

My wife really enjoys the Dyson vacuums. That said, we purchased two Dyson vacuums. When we opened the box, the tool holders were missing from both. Both vacuums were registered with Dyson for warranty. I have contacted Dyson over ten times to obtain the missing parts. At first, the customer service person would put in an order....then it would be cancelled. Now, they won't even put in an order and tell me to go buy the part from a retainer. I'm not upset at the customer service people, but Dyson (as a company) does not stand behind its own product. They will certainly sell you a vacuum, but will offer zero or false support when there is a manufacturer issue. Dyson warranty support is worthless. Zero help, but a lot of time trying to get the part that was supposed to be in the box. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Be warned - Dyson does not back up its own product.

The warranty doesn’t cover anything. You’ll receive a vaccum in pieces

I bought a vacuum, paid $ 400. After 6 months, the vacuum cleaner broke down completely. I called Customer Service, and after a 1.5-hour video call, the representative confirmed it was faulty and told me the replacement would arrive in 8 days. To my unpleasant surprise, they sent one part, the motor. I called, complained again, and they sent another part. I called again, and after complaining for an hour, they told me they would send the other part next week. How is it possible that they send the vacuum cleaner in pieces? It's like a Lego set. Customer service apologized, but they didn't send a new vacuum cleaner. I've been without a vacuum cleaner for 3 weeks and I'm collecting parts as they arrive... DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND. The warranty doesn't replace anything; it's a complete lie.

Worst Customer Service Experience – Damaged My Device!

I bought the Dyson Supersonic Nural HD16 in June 2025. By late April 2026, it stopped working correctly because the runtime dropped drastically. I sent it in for repair, but it was returned two weeks later dirty and still broken. Dyson claimed they "couldn't replicate the issue."
I sent it back a second time. This time, they returned it dirty, deeply scratched, and physically damaged!
When I called support, the experience got worse. The first representative offered a 20% discount on any full-price item. They refused a refund or upgrade, offering only an exchange. However, my original color is out of stock, so I am forced to choose a color I do not want.
To make matters worse, a second representative called back and changed the story. They said the 20% discount only applies to vacuums or the exact same hairdryer—no other haircare tools.
Dyson used to mean quality, but their service is now a complete nightmare.
Avoid this company!

I bought the Dyson air wrap Coanda2x…

I bought the Dyson air wrap Coanda2x and it came defective from the very first use. It would turn off constantly. I called Dyson did a zoom video tutorial and … Nothing. They said they would send a part to fix it and I said I wanted a new one. A brand new $750 machine should not need repair. The process was horrific. They made it so difficult. I sent it back. Then, they said it would take 14 business days to get the new one. I got the new one… THE SAME THING happened. Are you kidding me. I call again and i asked for a refund and they did not want to issue a return label for a refund. They said it was going to take 3 business days to escalate the situation. What situation? I paid $750 for a product that came defective twice and you don't want to return my money even though i only had it for 2 days????? Terrible customer service. Never buying from them again. I also have a dyson hair dryer. Never had a problem with that product . Bought a Corrale and it did not stay on either the first time i tried it out if the box, Don't buy from them. If you are going to buy something from Dyson, buy it at Ulta. They have better customer service tgan Dyson!

Dyson warranty return lost in transit – extremely dissapointing experience with Dyson customer service

My Dyson hair dryer stopped working while still under warranty (approximately one year remaining). I first contacted Dyson support and was initially advised to bring the product to a service center in another state, which was not feasible, even though I live in New York City with plenty of Dyson shops around. Only after further communication was I offered the option to ship the product back for inspection/replacement.

Dyson provided a prepaid shipping label, and I followed all instructions, purchased packaging materials by myself, and shipped the unit. I have the UPS drop-off receipt and tracking information as proof of shipment.

The tracking shows the package has been dropped-off at UPS store, though UPS is claiming that it has left the location for more than 2,5 weeks, so it is either missing or stolen. After contacting UPS directly, I was informed that because Dyson generated the shipping label, only Dyson can initiate a claim with UPS.

Despite this, Dyson customer support initially instructed me to file the claim myself, which led to significant delays and time spent communicating with UPS. Dyson has not made a claim themselves or provided a resolution.

Every communication through e-mail with Dyson customer service is frustrating and leads to no solution, they just keep repeating the same lines, but not making any progress in trying to resolve the matter.
