Avoid

Avoid! Very bad! 3/4 of tank:) and you need bring 3/4 of tank back! unprofessional workers. Don’t have booked car and you need to pay extra for “better” car.
All in all… AVOID!

Empty tank

I am appalled that the car I pick up had absolutely no petrol in it the tank , the fuel gauge was on the lowest mark . I had just flown in it was dark and raining I had to long journey ahead of me . I had spend the beginning of my journey looking for a petrol station running on empty it was so stressful . Plus I have to return the car on empty. how can you contemplate the motorway on empty? please this is the worst experience I have ever had in picking up a hire car..

Leaking van damaged stuff rude customer service

Van hired leaked in heavy rain and ruined mattresses and boxes.. 'manager' blamed me? Despite me having photos of water in the van. He spoke down to me like I was a small child. Rude and in my opinion misogynistic. Was told don't bother to complain I am the manager I will just delete it! Please avoid this company and choose one who values their customers.

Very poor service

I booked with Drivalia as they work longer hours and my flight was late. I booked a full package ( no deposit, full insurance etc) but at the arrival I was informed that windscreen and tyres are not insured. It was very cold night and car was all frozen. When I asked guy if he has anything to scrape windows off the ice he asked me to run an engine. The car was in a good condition but very basic eg. paper on the floor. It was not prepared for me to drive. When I was driving on motorway I find out that there was no windscreen washer what makes car illegal to drive. I was very disappointed with the service as I travel all over the world and never experienced something like that. But the guy was nice and bus shuttle ok

 Let you book vans they don’t have and request personal information that they don’t need

Booked 3 vans to hire for a house move, a week in advance. Was called by Easirent a few days before the booking and was told that they didn’t have 2 of the vans and was asked why I was hiring them. It baffled me why they would let me book vans to hire that aren’t available. Was then called back and said that I had to provide proof that I was moving via the appropriate documentation, which would have to be sent to their head office for approval and they would then try and source the vans but there is no guarantee that their would have them.

I then went to SIXT and booked their vans, they rang me to confirm they had them and had a great service overall. I cancelled my booking with Easirent. Easirent do not respect consumer privacy and coupled with their poor customer service, are a company I would avoid.

Rent a car from Drivalia

Our flight to Luton was due to arrive little after 10 at night and we were worried if we would make it on time to pick up the car. We finally arrived at pick up point at 11:30 where a very friendly and extremely polite man was more than happy to give us all the details and options, provide us all the documentation, and within minutes we were on our way.
Returning the car was even quicker and after a quick inspection we were given a confirmation that the car was in the same state as we picked it.
The deposit was then released within 2 weeks. We will definitely recommend the company to anyone who wants to rent a car. Prices are excellent too.

EXCELLENT

I found this company very good.

Collection and drop off was simple.

The service was excellent.

The cars were very clean and tidy and very reasonably priced.

Would use again.

Easy rent are a sharp practice company

Easy rent are a sharp practice company. I was fleeced for an additional £150 for their damage waiver policy on my rental today as the credit card we presented to pay the deposit was in the name of the second driver not the main driver. I will never use them again. So much for rental cars . Com claim of “no hidden fees”.

Friendly Car rental company

We rented a car from Luton Easirent ( near the airport) and it was a pleasure to deal with them The staff were lovely , we had to tell them we needed to change from the 200mile limit for our 2 day rental to unlimited mileage and this was no problem and cost very little extra. Both picking up and returning the car was simple and easy - thank you Easirent.

Not so easirental...

Not so easirental...
Booked online through an agent booking.com and all seemed OK. Price was reasonable, and paid an extra £50 to be fully insured incase of an accident/damage etc and so they didn't have to hold £1500 on my credit card. Completed all the forms and uploaded I.d. etc for quicker checkout. Arrived at Luton and car is situated quite far from the airport in Slip End, not the end of the world as there is a bus there. Its a smallish car park and you find easirental operates from a portacabin in the car park... this had me a bit worried. Went to check in and told I should have bought proof of addresses with me... I didnt have them as I completed it online. So I had to fanny about downloading bank statements. Then he says OK I need your card to take £1500. I said no I paid for full insurance, he said no you didn't you paid the agent not us! If you want full insurance from us it's an extra £27 per day!!!! I asked what I had paid then and he said you paid booking.com to claim the money back from us if the car is damaged. So clearly a bit of a scam going on here. So reluctantly give him my card. He then shows me the car and its almost new, he said no marks on it... I said there are some long scratches all the way down the drivers side... he tried to tell me they were 'wash marks'. So I took photos and asked him to mark it on the form... he wouldn't. At that point I wanted to cancel but I was in the middle of nowhere and needed a car. He said it would all be fine don't worry. He then said the car was empty and needed some fuel and had about enough to do 4 miles!!! The nearest petrol station was further than 4 miles... luckily I made it. The whole experience has made me totally uncomfortable and I am now worried about how much they are going to try to stitch me up for when it take it back. If I were you folks I would avoid and pay more for a reputable company as it may end up costing me much much more in the long run!. Very uneasirent all round and am very disappointed in booking.com for dealing with such a dubious company and not making things clear - they are usually very trustworthy.

Be aware

I booked the car through vehicle-rent.com and paid for a third party insurance (relax package). The short story is that when I was asked for 1250GBP credit card insurance allowance the service person claimed that my credit card card was not a credit card but a debit card (he could still use that credit card to insure 95GBP insurance for the fuel even I received the car empty - literally on a red light) so the only thing I could do was to pay 244GBP full insurance from Easirent.com. I contacted VISA Iceland, my credit card company, and they verified that my credit card was indeed a credit card and told my to be aware since this service sounded like a trick. I had no opportunity other than to pay the extra 224GBP since I was stranded in a car park in Luton and people waiting for me to pick them up. Still I had a third party insurance.

Excellent service from start to finish, rang Layek at Luton he was so helpful and informative and made booking easy.

Picked up a car on Thursday and my sister picked up on Friday. Cars were perfect, and clean, administration was easy and drop off equally as smooth. I can’t thank Layek enough he was brilliant from pick up to drop off 😊
