For me it's a yes

I have been very happy with the sauces (I did a 12 pack selection). I agree some can seem watery, but I just reduce the sauce over a low heat until it achieves my desired consistency. I do find they are spicier than my local Indian restaurant and I do not recommend the vindaloo unless you just want a mouth of fire (I normally enjoy them in most Indian restaurants). The pathia was delightful but needed a bit of tomato puree added for my taste. Bhuna has great flavour but does need reduction on the stove to thicken the sauce.

They are good value, even if not perfect, and I will buy again.

Do you really want a take-away!

I have been cooking my own curry sauces for many years having been fortunate to have had instruction from a great Indian restaurantier. I am getting older now and whilst I have elected for take-aways over the last year or so, I have been disappointed with the consistency of curries.
I happened to see an advert for East at Home and to be honest I was intrigued by the presentation of sauces and spices. After trying a couple of sauces, I am hooked and have had several, different sauces and believe me they are different. The taste, consistency and quality are as advertised and I will continue to use. I did think of telling my friends who we invited for dinner, that I made the curry but had to give them the details of East at Home!

As always Outstanding products, service and delivyvery ethos

As always, this Company delivers the greatest curry sauces and bases I have used in the last 40 years (I also spent over a year working with a Sikh chef - but the authentic and quality are beyond that!
To add which, my last 2 orders arrived within 36 hours of ordering online and the Customer Service staff are both polite, experienced and a pleasure to deal with.
You have created an infallible gold mine for us Curry at Home' afficionados and long may you reign supreme in what can be a confusing and iffy market at times.

Nasty

I bought the three packet offer, l tried the bhuna the jalfrezi., both were ghastly, watery, tasteless.. I couldn't believe it as the photos of the curries looked so good...but they look NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTO. So the Korma was put straight in the bin. Also, the amount you get is too much for one person...but not enough for two. I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND....PLEH!

Not very nice

I bought a three sample pack (Masala, Bhuna and Pathia) and have used them all. Both my wife and I are huge curry fans and we were looking forward to trying these. Unfortunately, we were both very disappointed in all three. They seemed very watery and to be quite honest, tasteless and nothing like the sauces they were labelled as. The only difference we could see was the masala was redder. After using the last one last night, the masala sauce, it was agreed that we won't be buying any more. Very disappointed.

Very disappointed

Very disappointed, watery mass produced. Just tried the masala and korma with chicken thighs.
Compared to Gymkhana sauces these are very poor. Gymkhana £5.50 ish a pot but 10000% worth it. Depth in flavour is unquestionably better.

I normally make my own curries but…

I normally make my own curries but thought I'd take the plunge with these. I got a Jalfrezi but was disappointed. It was quite runny, a bit too sharp and lacking in flavour. I had to add to it as if I was making one of my own. So I fried off peppers and onion, added garlic/ginger paste, my mixed powder, tomato puree, then added the sauce. Had to cook it off for a while for it to thicken.

exceptional

I tried one of EastatHome sauces last night (Madras), and the result was exceptional.

I love cooking and try not to take too many short cuts, so I normally cook a curry dish from scratch - which can take an age and is definitely a weekend job. I then started trying some jarred stuff for speed (albeit with a lot of tweaking), and they were all pants - sour, character-less, and quite forgettable.

Seeing an ad for EastatHome on social media about a month ago hooked me in so I placed an order for the 6-sauce selection pack. I had zero expectations, so didn’t try them immediately.

I cooked with one last night and it was just brilliant. It's easily on-par with a decent restaurant flavour experience and was absolutely superb. Their quality is spot on, so I'm keen to try the other sauces from the pack over the next couple of weeks.

Closest sauce to a take away I've ever had

Closest sauce to a take away I've ever found! Absolutely love these sauces. I feed a husband and 3 sons who all love their Currys and they love these sauces and asked me to order more. Excellent service and quick delivery too! Will definitely be ordering a third time!

Sadly Lacking

Usually make my own but thought I’d give these a go for when I was short on time and them being not ultra processed appealed. Sadly that was where the appeal stopped we tried the bhuna and jalfrezi both were watery and for our preference lacking in the depth of flavour. As for being enough for 2 we didn’t find we had enough sauce hence having to make 2 to give us enough sauce

Quite a coincidence I had this tonight.. I have tried just about all of them and I heard really good things about these so I thought I would try it. I cooked it for about 20/30 minutes as I like my sauce thick but sadly it stayed very watery (yes I could have added something but am wanting to find a good curry alternative to a take away.) I also found the curry to be chilli hot or just burning hot and just seemed to burn my mouth . I've got left overs for lunch tomorrow , so who knows it may be better then. But for now will stick to Pataks curry kits

Not very good to be honest …

These sauces are advertised to be far nicer and more authentic than the regular bottled sauces although I don’t think that’s the case. Overpriced, pretty tasteles and wouldn’t reduce. In fact Aldi do far better bottled Indian sauces for a fraction of the price. We won’t be purchasing again. Save your money as well!

I ordered three vindaloos from East at Home and was genuinely impressed. The packaging was secure and kept everything fresh, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. But the real star was the taste—bold, spicy, and full of authentic flavour that reminded me of a proper curry house experience. Each portion was generous, and the heat level was just right for a vindaloo lover like me. Will definitely be ordering again!o

Brilliant products!

Brilliant products and great service. For BIR especially, the base gravy and mix powder are essential. Whilst I have a good stash of many individual spices, I always like to have the base gravy and mix powder on hand too. Not only can they save time, but will help newcomers to this cuisine too.

The sauce pouches keep nicely unopened and after that are good in the freezer. Highly recommended for curry addicts!
