Staff are friendly enough. They do put you on ease if you are afraid of dentists.
Mine was brilliant, no fault...
But it came to an halt when I had a hygienist appointment on a Monday afternoon.
I fell ill on Saturday evening, phoned them up as early as I could on Monday morning.
That was fine, then had an email later that day saying that I needed to pay the missed appointment.
I said "no" as I phoned as early as I could.
They badgered me, demanding the payment.
Seek out advice on Denplan and they said that they could still claim for the missed appointment... Anyways left it for a week.
I decided to pay, I phone them and the receptionist said that there is no charge.
Good, as I thought, they wavered the charge
The next day I had a text with a portal link to pay. I pressed on the link and the portal was broken, so I thought it might be a scam.
Anyway, walked in to see if I can arrange an appointment, and then they told me that I could email them that I was ill, and that they have changed their computer system that day, well, they need to honour what they said, (but if they are not open then they will see the email on Monday morning, so what's the difference of me phoning them and emailing them).
They refused to make me another appointment. So I said stuff you lot...
I am not going to make a dentist/hygienist appointment on a Monday...

Constantly cancelling appointments; offering services with visiting dentists and then having to cancel due to no-show/no longer working with them. Such causes major issues with work and children arrangements. Taking months to act on referrals to Hospital. Advising patients to not come in for their NHS appointments during Covid, and advising they will be in touch when they resume services but never do. When contacting them to find out what the situation is, they then advise that you have been struck off the NHS list for not having a check up for a period of two years and only offering Private. When trying to resolve issues with the Reception Manager, can never get to speak with them, always in meetings or away. Left numerous messages with reception by phone, even from calling in in person, but none of them responded to; not even a simple courtesy call from a subordinate. Dragged feet in returning funds in account. The organisation is simply a shambles.

Made me feel comfortable and less nervous.

Cicelia the orthodontist is a fantastic lady. So helpful and informative, an asset. The reception team are friendly and very efficient. Couldn’t be happier.

We had good dental support for the first few years in this practice, and then confirmed appointments of both my wife and myself started to be cancelled, with multiple cancellations and rebookings! Sheer repetition of this has become intolerable, and today we have left this practice.

Would like to thank Juliet the receptionist for the excellent and professional service I received today. The team are amazing. Have been a patient for several years and always received excellent treatment. Highly recommend.

Very understanding will me about needles, polite and friendly staff would recommend eastgate dental practice.
