Do NOT use!

Had a terrible experience with Eastwind Shipping. I paid up front for some furniture to be moved from London to Copenhagen. Jack (the owner of the company) missed one of two pickups in London as he was 1 1/2 hours late. He promised me to include the missing furniture on his next run but despite many calls, texts and emails he has ignored me since. Use alternative services.

Unreliable and poor service

I booked an international overseas move with Eastwind Shipping and had very specific dates for pick-up and delivery at my new address. Jack promised he could deliver my goods on the specific dates and was very helpful and positive in his communications. Then started the nightmare...
5 hours late in picking up my goods (had to take a day off work), 7 (!) days late in delivering my goods at my new address without much information (had to take SEVERAL days off as I didn't hear anything from Jack and didn't know when he would be showing up at my address), no compensation offered, didn't answer any of my calls, texts or emails and to top it all off when my goods were finally delivered it was in his brother's Kia station wagon, boxes marked "VASES AND GLASSES" turned upside down and on the side. NOT reliable, NOT recommendable and NOT a good experience.

Ship with confidence with East Wind Shipping

Got a tip off Jack was collecting items in the Copenhagen Area via Facebook. Picked up Thursday in Denmark, and just had delivery in rural Buckinghamshire Tuesday. Really happy with the speedy service in the midst of the summer holidays. Really helpful and getting your stuff from A to B as promised. Strong as a Viking, polite as a Brit/ This guy will help you out when you need shipping. He is a one man band so be patient, can't email you when he is on the road driving. Ship with confidence with Jack at East Wind.

Transport - London to Stockholm, Sweden - Furniture

Jack and his team did a great job in helping us move our furniture and antiques.
He gave us a very good price for the transport, his team came to our house at short notice, and were very accommodating.
Packed and wrapped our goods, and load on to his van. The goods arrived three days later in Stockholm, unpack, and removed all the debris.
Nothing was broken at all. He was a super star, and we will us him again.

Fantastic service, prompt, fair price UK to Lisbon POSITIVE experience!

My experience was fantastic. Eastwind Shipping delivered my things safely and on time. The price was extremely fair and the communication swift and constant. Eastwind Shipping is NOT a fraudulent company. Everything they said they did. I am surprised at some of the reviews on here because my experience was sublime. I am extremely happy and far from "traumatised".
I guess some customers may get angry because they have unreasonable expectations. I, for one, will use Eastwind Shipping again and again with no qualms or concerns. I suggest you give them a try. I was certainly not disappointed and neither should anyone else be.

After 5 years using his services, one of the most reliable on

I have never posted any comment on anything before, this is the first.

I am using Jack's services for more than 5 years now, collecting items from Sweden, Denmark and Germany to deliver in Paris, and I never ever had any problem with him...

This morning he delivered me for more than 35.000E of goods from Sweden and Denmark, last month 14.000E, and over the past 5 years, absolutely no broken or damaged item, it's always packed.

These are not personal little effects, this is business, I am working, and he is part of my working process.

Reading the comments, let's be honnest :
1) his quotes are more than fair
2) so he has many clients, because everytime he delivers me, his van is FULL FULL FULL
3) meaning I'm not the only one trusting him : would he have so many demands if his services were that "AWFUL" NEVER GAIN" "WORST EVER" ???

Of course sometimes we have communation issues, deliveries may be delayed due to size or location, these kind of things happen, but I know I can entrust him with 35.000E of goods, they are safe !

If I wanted an Express 5 business days delivery, I would hire a well known company, one of the many, but the price would definitely not be the same !!!

I highly recommand him, you can work with him with confidence, he is definitely not a thief or a robberer as in some comments...

He took our item; it never arrived; he didn't care

Jack seemed very helpful when arranging shipping of our item (a piece of furniture). When it didn't arrive, we had a great deal of difficulty contacting him and when we did he gave us an unlikely-sounding story about the item falling on someone and injuring them...unfortunate if true but it's still not clear why that would mean it can't be delivered. Anyway, he said he'd reimburse us for the item and the fees we'd paid him but, after a lengthy period of chasing him, he never did. In retrospect, I can see that he almost certainly never intended to reimburse us. Perhaps he never intended to ship the item either...I couldn't say.

By the way, there is a growing community of people disaffected with this gentleman in his various guises. You can see historical reviews elsewhere about GMT Logistics Ltd which is another one of his incarnations.

SUPERB - flexible and reliable

I used Eastwind to transport a shipment of furniture from rural Sweden to London and am more than happy with their services. Jack was very easy to communicate with from the beginning, flexible and helpful. He made his way to my parents' place in a rural part of Sweden and delivered at my flat in London a few days later. He kept me informed of his arrival times, before collection and delivery, and the pieces of furniture were in perfect condition. Will defintely use Eastwind for any future shipments!

Awful, never again

Got them to pick up some furniture from a warehouse in denmark to deliver to london. Picked a delivery day, in email contact until day before, then waited at home for delivery for 6 hours which didn't turn up, and agent was dodging calls, refused to pick up phone or return messages. Then he got back in contact and picked a new delivery day week after. Confirmed on the morning of that day - said he'd be there in an hour - then just didn't turn up all day, and went completely off-radar for three days. No response, no answer, no communication at all. Two days lost, and seemingly goods too. Contacted the police and fraud agencies in UK, filed reports, then suddenly goods arrived. Better to use someone else, if want to avoid substantial stress and don't want to waste several days waiting and chasing.
