Pretty good customer service.
I ordered a product from a vendor and it never arrived, they gave me a refund.
Later on I ordered from someone else and they sent it tracked and I went to pick it up from La Poste when I wasn't in. That was good so I ordered again from them a couple of times. The third time they didn't send it tracked and again it went missing.
I complained to ebay and they wouldn't give me a refund. But they said I could appeal. So I appealed and said that I ordered from this seller precisely because they sent it tracked. Then I did get the refund.
About a month later, I found out that my plumber had taken in the package and put it somewhere I hadn't seen, so I did get it after all.
I wrote to eBay explaining that I would like to give the money back since I had received the item. However, they told me it wasn't the vendor who had refunded the money—it was eBay themselves. Because of that, they said there was no need to return the funds or apologize to the vendor.
I thought overall this was pretty good service, even if I had to do a little bit of admin and appeal, so I will give them four stars.
Again and again same buyer scams!
Again and again same story!! Buyer opens a false claim NAD weeks after the item was bought. No money,as eBay blocks it immediately. No item, as buyer maybe will ship it back, or will ship an empty box. No proof, buyer says 'broken' but does nor even submit a photo nor an evidence, just few lines that there is a problem.
They used the item for multiple weeks, now not needing it, it is suddenly 'broken'. COMPLETE SCAM FROM EBAY!!! HOW LONG DOES THIS COMPANY IS ALLOWED TO RUN THIS?? At this point disappointment is in each single transaction. Stay away, even if you are a buyer, because sellers just do not care no longer. No motivation for good service, as there are buyer scams on so many transactions.

Account Restricted Within Seconds — Worst Experience I’ve Had on a Marketplace
I created a fresh eBay account on eBay.fr with the simple goal of selling one trading card. I added all my personal information, listed the item, and it stayed online for about four seconds before I received an email titled “We’re here to help you get back to selling”. Moments later, my account was already restricted.
The email told me to follow a link for help — but the link led to a page that didn’t resolve anything. The chatbot was completely useless. Shortly after, I got a call from eBay customer service in English (despite this being an eBay.fr issue).
I spoke with a representative named Christine, who asked me a series of verification questions. Fair enough. But once I explained my situation, things went downhill. I was told that my activity “did not meet eBay’s Terms of Service,” yet they could not explain what exactly I did wrong. I was essentially informed that the account would remain restricted and that I would not be able to use it.
When I asked to simply delete the account and start fresh, I was immediately told that I could not do so. Throughout the conversation I felt like I was being treated as if I had done something suspicious — even though all I did was try to sell a single trading card.
Christine said she would delete the account on her side and call me back. It has now been hours, and I’m still waiting for that call.
At this point, if I could give 0 out of 5, I would.
This whole experience has shown me exactly why I won’t be using eBay again, and why I absolutely cannot recommend it to anyone.
PS: For an issue on eBay.fr, being redirected to a .com support page and receiving support only in English felt completely out of place and unhelpful.
eBay customer support is complete idiots
eBay customer support is complete idiots. They blocked my selling account because of some new nonsense metrics called BBE policy. What does it matter that I have 100% pozitive customer reviews as a seller and eBay itself says I am an "above standard" seller. They blocked my account, delisted my products and froze my money that I was supposed to receive from the sale. They destroyed my business and stole all my money!!! And all this before Christmas. I am really in a desperate situation now. In fact, I am even worse off than before selling on eBay because I bought a lot of products and invested a lot of money, time and lost everything. Never sell through this selling platform unless you want to end up like me.
No delivery and no refund
I live in Paris, France. An American seller sent me a parcel. This parcel was delivered by USPS to its international shipping center in Illinois. However, it was never delivered to Paris. Pretending that delivery was complete, Ebay refused - twice - any refund.
Frustrating, outdated, and unreliable
eBay feels like a platform stuck in the 90s, and their tracking system is a joke. I paid $40 for shipping on a package that just arrived at a pickup point after 2 months!!! eBay marked it as “delivered” the moment it got there - even though I haven’t received it yet. Another package showed as delivered... in a completely different country.
Sellers are often unresponsive, returns are a headache, and fake or useless tracking info is everywhere. Their support can be decent at times, which is more than I can say for some other sites, but overall it’s a frustrating experience. If you want a smooth, trustworthy shopping experience, eBay is not it. I’m done wasting my time and money here.

My CHF 150 payout shows “sent” on 18 Sep 2025, but no funds ever arrived. I submitted my bank’s non-receipt report on 29 Sep 2025. After multiple follow-ups, there’s still no resolution. Please re-open the case, start a payment trace (share UETR/E2E + proof of payment), or reissue the payout. I’ll update this review once resolved.
Total rip off
What I don’t understand is how this company is allowed to continue to rip people off. How are they allowed to stay in business and why doesn’t the authorities step in. I ordered something and it never came. They would not answer my text. The person that sold it to me, would not answer my text. I will never ever order from eBay again and I hope there’s enough smart people out there that they will stop ordering from eBay
Fraude paradis
Bought a luxury designer handbag on July, seller wasted 10 days before shipping and send me a fake scam. He refused to accept the return request and I started dispute both on eBay and PayPal. eBay had not at all informed me and closed my dispute “normally” just because THEIR rule said so even the seller is a criminal (handbag been proven as a counterfeit, already informed by me to the designer’s part). And eBay? Still refuses to do anything at all for buyer!

Had an account with eBay for over 15 years and they allow a person to give me negative feedback for no reason,then they said I violated there rules for no good reason and put a restriction on my account and gave me a lifetime ban, they only had to look at my ratings over the years and didn't even tell me what I had suppose to have done, what a company eBay are you are not allowed to defend yourself.

DANGER! I bought a Supreme backpack. Before buying, I had some doubts about its authenticity because the price was quite low. I took the chance and bought it because I thought eBay had a dispute service. As I had suspected, the bag is a vulgar counterfeit. I opened a dispute and despite the very explicit photos, eBay ruled in favor of the seller. This is the second time I've been completely ripped off by sellers on eBay. Worse, by eBay's customer service. If you want to get robbed, then buy on eBay.

More Ebay stupidity on payment processing, because the website doesn't work properly. My order was made on Ebay.fr, for an order sold in France to be delivered in France, on a French credit card, but they charged me in GBP. Useless - especially for a company registered in Ireland.

Drama, offer gets canceled for no reason due to imaginary errors. Notification emails contain references to non-existent modification features. Ebay has been the world's worst e-commerce site for ages and is doing its best to never leave the No. 1 spot in this ranking.
