Ordered something from ebay, Was charged twice , Instantly clicked cancel on the second order. Few days later the seller replied to say they would not cancel as it was already posted. No email address or livechat anywhere to contact ebay.

Will never use again.

bought 2 items from 2 companies USA & Far East

i know there is a pandemic on but not only did i not receive either item I did not get any money back

on speaking to the Ebay "live rep" i was informed to go through paypal as there was nothing they could do.

last time i use ebay. I gave up on them 2 years ago and foolishly went back for another smack in the jaw

as a seller you get charged to put up a add , then you get charged if it sells and then at the end of each month they charge you again on your monthly income.

Customer service horrible, they protecting scammers! Ordered a smart smoke alarm 01/03/20, I contacted the seller, I patiently waited as we are with the COVID 19 for delivery, but I never received it. The seller removed the product and I could not contact him anymore. I opened a case and eBay said that I should go to Paypal, but I paid straight with my debit card, so eBay nothing can do. They don´t care at all, finally after days fighting I found how to contact the seller and in less than an hour, I was refunded.
How great would be at my first contact the seller was informed by the customer service?
My trust was lost at eBay.

avoid, if something arrives broken you literally are pushed pillar to post and no way to get your money back

Receipt from eBay clearly in EUR, payed by debit card in EUR (no PayPal account). Was shocked to see the bank balance showing PayPal processed the payment in GBP! This is obviously an illegal activity.

I am a ebay.ie customer since 2010. When I login to ebay.ie or any other EU ebay site and search for any product the prices are displayed in pounds sterling and then converted by ebay / paypal Euro rate even though I am not logged into ebay.uk I do not live in the UK I am an EU resident and citizen. Then if I select any product to purchase whether from ebay.ie,ebay.de,ebay.fr,ebay.it,ebay.es or any eu ebay site ebay requires payment in pound sterling at rate which cost 5% or more extra through paypal.

I have being talking to ebay support through live chat and say they are aware of the issue but will not give a solution .Why would they if they ebay and paypal stand to profit ,I could be forgiven in thinking this is a clear case of conclusion in ripping of ebay.ie customers
I live in Ireland EU, we are no longer under the wing of our old colonial monster, we are an independent nation part of the EU using Euro as our currency Ebay / Paypal need to reflect this ,if not am sure the EU commission on consumer protection will sort this out maybe with heavy fines
Please any ebay member from Ireland complain to your local EU consumer branch

I tried to contact both eBay and PayPal about a seller who is refusing to give a refund when he said he would, the seller is from Australia with the name of city_of_games shipping cost 40AUD (Approximately €23) when emailing the sellers they kept on saying it will take another 2 weeks or some excuse, the product was in Australia for nearly 3 months until finally after it reached 3 months from the sale date I got the item. A little mark on the screen was found on the item, I told them about it and they told me they’re not sending anymore emails and I will not get any refund, they claimed I falsely accused them of making excuses when their responsibility is to ensure customer satisfaction and got annoyed for me leaving negative feedback, what did they expect when I paid €23 for shipping and then they tell me it’s not even insured weeks after yet they would give me a full refund when 3 months had been reached from the sale date and even if the item was received before those 3 months passed I would be getting a refund from shipping, then when it had reached 3 months they changed everything they agreed on to not refunding me at all, you can change your words but I have the proof. The email to me on the 23rd May 2020 included this:

if the item hasn't been delivered in 3 months, it will be deemed lost
If this final outcome takes place, this is when we will issue a full refund and take full responsibility
We have already lost thousands of dollars due to items not being delivered within 3 months and we will issue you a refund as well in the case that the item is not delivered within that time frame.

Their email on the 26th June 2020:

Unfortunately the courier company will not be issuing any refunds for items that arrive.

These sellers are just something else and the worst part is they are getting away with it because I contacted PayPal and opened a dispute early May, I closed the dispute days later as the sellers assured me the item should arrive 2 weeks later and I wasn’t getting any response (they also had to contact the sellers before it went to PayPal which is just awful as the sellers knew what they were doing. They didn’t reply to the PayPal case for days yet responded to me days later on eBay when I messaged them) they blackmailed me with telling me that they would keep on calling me everyday until I return the item if I got any refund. I contacted eBay 3 times. The first time was before I opened the case in which the agent said I should receive a full refund and apologised for the inconvenience. The second time was a week or so ago and the agent said even though I closed the dispute I can reopen it and it should be sorted out, the third time a few days ago I was told the same thing or to go to my bank. They all sent me to PayPal, PayPal threw me right back to eBay and it is deadly how easy a dodgy seller can get away with things like this. I have never had an unhappy experience with PayPal or eBay until now.

Bought dumbbells from ebay and it turned out the seller was a scammer. ebay ie support first mentioned that I'm eligible to get a refund before another representative told me I won't get a refund for the scam that happened on their platform.
The seller was on their platforms for weeks before they removed them from their listing. That's completely unprofessional from their side

Avoid buying from Ebay!!!!

eBay is a great place to buy: if you're on eBay.ie be careful cause if you don't pay with paypal you're not protected, otherwise if not happy with your purchase or item does not arrive paypal will give your money back, bad sellers know few negative feedbacks will not be good for their business so they try to do a good job (my eBay experience of 15 years) but eBay is not great to sell...firstly you have to have the best prices on the market and if your item sells you'll be charged around 10% of the final sell price plus about 3% paypal fees, also if your item selling will arrive damaged or late buyer will open a case for partial/full refund and most of times is not the seller's fault. My advise is ask seller questions before you buy and if you sell give shipping information to buyer.

Bought supplements, the vendor wont answer emails, Paid via Mastercard and Ebay wont refund. EBAY>IE utter rubbish

useless, been trying for a while now to open up a dispute process about an item, being brought from page to page with no sucess

Ebay is an utter cesspool of filth and depravity, genuine sellers are few and far between. Rarely will you get an item as listed. Ebay dont care, the can't even police their platform.
Ebay used to be amazing, its gone to hell in a handbag in the last 10 years what ever happened.

I ordered an alexa dot 3. An alexa arrived, it's not the one I ordered. The cable has a two pin plug on it. Ireland Use's 3 pin. How do I return this item.

I used to use Ebay regularly and been a member for over 15 years. Lately I came across many fraud and I lost money as purchases never arrived, etc. Recently I ordered a subscription that worked for 2 days, and after all disappeared, I could not get refund as the advertiser not replying to my messages. I wanted to contact ebay, but since the item is no longer listed, transaction ID is not accepted and I cannot even contact them. Customer service on its lowest at Ebay. I stop using them and go to Amazon. Very disappointed.

Ebays global shipping programme charges is way in excess of actual postage costs , it takes longer and now won’t allow you to rate it it feedback !
