Unfortunately, our Aurora inverter failed with a known circuit board issue a few weeks ago. As we still had a couple of years left on the warranty, we contacted our installer. Although they did get back to us, they weren’t able to provide any assistance as they were in lock-down. We offered them several solutions, including sending the inverter to their depot for repair or replacement. However, they weren’t open to this, or any of our other suggestions, and basically said they were unable to assist us at this time. As we had no way of knowing how long this situation may continue, we decided to try and find an alternative company that would be able to supply us with a replacement inverter.

During our search, we stumbled on Eco7’s site, which piqued our interest! Although not particularly local, we decided to drop them an email explaining our predicament, and a short time later Craig responded.

We were impressed with his genuine passion and knowledge about everything solar-related, and he enjoyed sharing his thoughts and suggestions with us. Several emails and phone calls later, we were on track to not only finding a replacement inverter, but a far better and ‘greener’ system. He was also prepared to fit the system himself, and within just a few short days he arrived with two colleagues to get us back up and running!

Craig kept us fully informed throughout, and both he and his team are very professional and friendly ... albeit at a ‘social distance’! Their workmanship is also very tight and efficient, and there was very little disturbance. We’re also very pleased with the choice of hardware and the neat cable runs.

About our system: We opted for a Solex X1-3.6 inverter (a neat upgrade to our previous system!) together with an AC coupled SoFar ME3000 inverter and two 2.4 kWh SoFar Amass batteries.

Although we’d previously thought about installing greater battery capacity, Craig suggested trying out the system first with two batteries to see how everything performed, and should we require more capacity going forward, then he would be more than happy to pop back another time.

We’ve been using the system now for almost a week and ‘SoFar so good’!

Hi, I'm looking to install Solar panels for my house and go green and offcourse save money hopefully. I was talking to another company but I saw the 5 star rating in customer service. Can you help me?

Craig and his colleague replaced my inverter in under 20 minutes despite working with protective masks and using their own ladder to access my loft to avoid cross contamination. They travelled up from Essex to Nottinghamshire as I could not get any local company to do the job.

I got a price from the site, Craig phoned me to check things, he was very helpful. Job was done a few days later, in and out in less than a half-hour, no mess no bother, Job jobbed ! 10 yr warranty on inverter all good.

Easy to complete internet page that gave an instant price for replacement inverter. There was no hard sell, a price was given then left to you as to proceed or not, unlike some companies who will call to try push their product. They fitted the replacement inverter within a week of placing the order. They were very professional, helpful and efficient. I am a person who is not easily impressed, but I can honestly say I would recommend Eco7 Ltd. They did an excellent job.

Quick, clean and tidy. All it could be for good service.

I found Eco7 Ltd via a renewable energy site. My inverter had a problem (9yrs old - failed once already). My supplier of said inverter went into liquidation in 2018 and the manufacturing warranty was only 5 years. The manufacture didn’t/wouldn’t respond and I needed a replacement. I filled out the Eco7 online questionnaire, which was easy to complete. In addition there is an option to write a message if you wish too! Submitted the questionnaire. Craig was soon on the phone and happy to supply me with all the answers to my numerous questions. I was confident that these guys knew what they were talking about. Today as pre arranged and only a couple of days after submitting their questionnaire, my inverter was replaced with a more modern/efficient one. Then came the next problem, my 17 panels had been connected incorrectly (possibly causing the old inverter to fail after years of over current). Craig didn’t make an issue of it, Tony & Craig looked at a way of resolving the issue & just got on with it. No sharp intakes of breath, no sorry we’ll have to come back, just got on with it. I’m now back up & generating electricity. I’m now covered by the 10yr manufactures warranty, I can (as can the manufacture) monitor my power generation via an app on my phone.
I can’t recommend Craig & Tony enough. Friendly (at 2 meters anyway) who were professional throughout their time in my home. Left clean, tidy with the reassurance if i have any problems Eco7 is available either by calling or email.
