Great service, fixed my ecu in quick time and got back to me efficiently. Thank you
Think carefully.......
I took my unit to the Company directly as I was in a hurry to get it turned around in time to refit to the car, I was told that the current time was 2-3 days so assumed i would at least get an update by the Thursday. I had to email on the Thursday to find out what was going on but was met with a reply just saying there was no information yet. I kept calling and then eventually the following Tuesday was told that the unit was still sitting on a shelf in the warehouse due to an issue their end but they promised an update the following morning, this never came. I had to keep calling until one of the workers finally kept me up to date and then the unit was ready on the Friday some 2 weeks later. The unit has been put back in the car and seems to be OK so far so I am unable to comment on the longevity of the repair however, the customer service that I received was awful and I would seriously consider other options in the future.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with the ECU testing and repair service. After sending our unit in for repair, we were informed that the errors aligned with those we had reported, and they assured us the unit was fixed and functioning correctly. However, once we reinstalled the mechatronic unit into the car, the same error codes persisted, despite their confirmation that the unit had tested clear of any issues.
The entire process was frustratingly slow, taking three weeks for them to complete the repair. On top of that, their chosen delivery partner delayed the return shipment by another week, leaving us with an angry and impatient customer.
When we requested details about what specific part of the mechatronic unit had been repaired, we were met with a refusal to disclose any information, citing confidentiality. We only asked which part had been replaced, not for any trade secrets, so we could understand if further replacements were necessary on our end.
Overall, the lack of transparency, the lengthy turnaround, and the unresolved issues with the unit have left us deeply dissatisfied. We had to demand a refund, and even then, the entire ordeal was handled poorly. I cannot recommend this service to anyone looking for reliable ECU repairs.
Extremely professional company.
Extremely professional company.
Though my unit was not eventually fixable, they collected it by DPD and put it through testing and trials over several days. Really thorough, they keep you informed at every step and were even apologetic that they couldn't fix it. Highly recommended this company.

You can have doubts sometimes about the advertised abilities that some companies promote. However I followed their straightforward directions, sent off my dashboard and as promised it returned and is working flawlessly. I was about to scrap the car but not now. Many thanks.

Dash cluster repair - hidden costs, generally poor communications, do not advertise that replacement units are actually refurbished units.
Sent my dash cluster to these guys for repair becuse they came in at the best price, as other companies advertise that LCD screen replacement incurs extra cost. Turns out they do charge an extra £100 for lcd replacement, but they don't mention it on their site or on the test form that you fill out, even though I stated it as the main fault on the form. Other companies offer a new lcd for £40 and they are transparent about it on their sites and booking forms. When they called to tell me that it would be an extra £100 for the lcd, I had to point out that at this point it's £38 cheaper to buy a replacement unit from their site, they said they would run the part numbers to check that it was compatible and would get back to me the next day, I heard nothing the next day so called at the end of the day for an update, but there wasn't one. Called again 2 working days later to be told that the replacement unit they had on the shelf failed testing and wasn't serviceable, as it was a refurbished unit! Nowhere on their site does it mention that the replacement unit you are buying is a refurb unit, and whilst I appreciate they offer a lifetime warranty, I think the buyer should be aware that you are getting a refurbed unit that could fail shortly after fitting and leave the vehicle off the road for atleast a week whilst it's sent back for repair. After explaining the situation to them and that I wasn't particularly happy with the fact they hadn't been transparent on the site or testing form about extra costs and I hadn't had an update for 3 working days (when they advertise a 2-3 day turn around) and had to chase them for updates, the best they could offer was free postage back on a full price (plus £100 for lcd) repair to my original unit, and if I wanted to get it sent back without repair it would cost £65 for testing plus the postage (£19.50 each direction). The only reason I'm giving 2 stars rather than 1 is because the operators I spoke to on the phone were professional and polite, and the first update I had was soon after they received the unit.

Terrible communication, and dubious testing procedures.
After a few months trying to resolve an ABS error on a Jeep Grand Cherokee (abs pump circuit failure), someone suggested getting the module tested. Ecutesting looked like a good bet, good reviews and a turnaround of 2-3 days. So I filled in the form and got it sent off, all very good. After a week I had heard nothing, so I contacted them. Apparent they hadn’t been able to find a fault, and had passed it to their R&D department. Still no fault found. They suggested a rebuild to eliminate common issues. I agreed to this and after chasing a few more times it was sent back after nearly 4 weeks, and a cost of £270. When I connected the module to the vehicle, it still came up with exactly the same error, which could not cleared. I contacted them, and they suggested checking the loom. I found a wiring diagram, and tested every connection without finding a fault. Eventually I was getting desperate, and bought another module from a breaker, just to test the pump itself initially. This didn’t work, but just for a laugh I decided to connect the module, guess what, it worked perfectly, I cleared the historical faults, and all is good.
So I contacted Ecutesting, explaining exactly what had happened. They suggested that I return the unit for testing. I explained that I couldn’t see the point of this, as they had had it for weeks and could find a fault, and I didn’t want to pay any more postage, and suggested they come up with another plan. Clearly this module has a fault, when it is swapped for the second hand one it works fine. I worry when an engineering company won’t listen to a logical argument 😔😔😔
