What’s not to love about Pipers Farm

What’s not to love about Pipers Farm?
Fantastic range of Chicken and cuts of meat. I’ve been a customer for many years now.
A personal favourite of mine is the chicken wings and selection of different burgers.
Recently tried the Duck breast which is also fantastic

Best meat you can buy

I can't eat meat or chicken from any other shops except Pipers Farm, the quality, service, packaging and delivery are all first class as for the taste of the meat, any kind of meat is so tasty, the taste of the goose this Xmas was excellent, my grand children loved it and Sora (8) made me laugh saying "it 's the best meat I ever had in my entire life" 😆😆. Highly recomended for a very healthy food. Thank you Pipers Farm for all your hard work and all the best.

Usually great service, sadly only 9/10 this time…

I'm a long time customer and big fan of Piper's Farm and normally have no complaints whatsoever. Unfortunately my last order on 2January (PFS470322) included a request for boneless chicken thighs and I received bone-in chicken thighs.

Great food in a sea of poor quality

There is so much food on sale that is less than beneficial to our health that it can be difficult to find food that has been healthily raised, fed and cared for in its journey to us.
I tried Piper's Farm products after seeing one of their adverts and was very impressed with the food I ordered. Superb meats, excellent flavours, fine textures.... just what you want!
Delivery was quick and reasonably-priced and hte food arrived in good condition in their keep-cold packaging.
Overall I'm very happy with Piper's Farm products, and it's great to see them extending their range in recent times.
It's not the cheapest, but I firmly believe you get what you pay for... and if you have a petrol car for good performance, you wouldn't put diesel fuel in it!

Frozen 5 rib roast for New Year’s dinner arrived frozen on New Year’s Eve!!! Aaagh

I ordered a 5 rib roast fr New Year’s Eve dinner so requested delivery on 31st December.

Delivery was on time, however, I didn’t expect to receive it frozen!!! It would have taken 48 hours to thaw!! Luckily I rushed out to Sainsbury’s and purchased two of their 2 bone rib roasts (not frozen), which may not have been as tasty or had the same visual impact, but it was less than 1/2 the price and all my guests were happy with the quality.
I must have missed the fact I was buying frozen meat, all of the fresh meat deliveries I have had from everywhere else haven’t been frozen.
I can’t say anything for the quality of the meat, I haven’t eaten it. The 2 stars is for the shipping.

All of our meat is frozen at peak freshness shortly after preparation to preserve quality and reduce food waste, and it is supplied frozen unless explicitly stated otherwise. We do make this clear on our product pages, but we fully appreciate that this can be missed, particularly if you were expecting a fresh delivery based on experiences elsewhere. I’m sorry that this wasn’t clear at the point of ordering and that it caused inconvenience at such an important occasion.

I’m pleased to hear that your guests still enjoyed the meal, though I regret that our rib roast wasn’t able to be part of it on the day. If you do decide to enjoy it at a later date, we hope it proves to be as flavoursome as intended.

Great as usual I always buy my beef or chicken bones from piper farm my bone broth has always turned out great

Only disappointing side is the price, it’s gone up significantly and yes we all know it’s because everything else is going up but these are bones…. Shouldn’t be that expensive

The products are superb and good value…

The products are superb and good value for the quality of meat. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is due to the poor performance of DPD on the delivery as they didn’t even get the correct street, I then had to go hunting for my parcel. When I reported the issue to Pipers they were very helpful and refunded my delivery charge. I will be using them again.

avoid the beef wellington!

quite poor! my Christmas delivery arrived but obviously wasnt packaged properly - chicken breasts had started to defrost as had the beef wellington, the beef wellington had liquid all over it from the meat - i was advised it was fine to refreeze. and was give £20 voucher back. had the beef wellington on Christmas day - total disappointment hardly and beef - both ends were packed out with mushrooms and was extremely salty!

Lovely meat

we had turkey legs on the bone and one boned and rolled. all were great, the boned one being particularly easy to carve and all remained moist, I used a meat thermometer because they are easy to overcook. The turkey stock was a little light in flavour because it was just bones and water, I would have added carrots/leeks/onion etc but that's my personal preference.

Worst customer service ever

I have never written a review on Trustpilot before but I had to come on here and add to the disappointed customers over Christmas and New Year so that other people don’t end up in the same situation. We have ordered several times from Piper’s Farm and the quality has always been good. But this Christmas we ordered our goose and cheese board from them to arrive on the 23rd. When it arrived late in the day it did so without any of the cheese at all - no email to let us know, no advance warning and - at that time - no notice of a refund. I then had to spend ages trying to call the company, but could never get through and racing around town with small children and elderly parents in law in tow with almost no time to try to get the things we needed for our Christmas Day (we weren’t able to - everything good had of course been bought already).

Obviously mistakes sometimes happen (and looking at Trustpilot it looks like it happened to a LOT of people this Christmas!) but there is simply no need for them to happen with such appalling customer service. I wasn’t able to reach them all day on the phone, I tried chat, email and even Instagram but have still not had an explanation/apology. I have received an automated refund (so they clearly know they screwed us over right before Christmas) and have also rather ironically been emailed by the company to leave my feedback so here it is- I am deeply frustrated and would go so far as to say appalled by their customer service.

A company can make mistakes but when it does it should put its hands up and explain/apologise - especially when someone has specifically requested a response as I have, and especially when in this case it’s for something like Christmas where things have been ordered well in advance and are so high stakes. Piper’s Farm’s customer service couldn’t be worse at this point. How sad. I won’t be ordering from them again, and unless you’re fine with not knowing whether your stuff will actually arrive or not (in which case it seems like you won’t hear from them about it) I suggest you don’t either.

I would leave a zero.

Terrible service, they don’t deliver on the dates they confirm, you then have to chase them for your money back.
Customer service are rude, wouldn’t recommend, look elsewhere.

Poor standards

Just like another reviewer - our beef Wellington we paid £135 for turned out to be Salmon Wellington on the day, ruining Christmas dinner. It was even fully packaged as Beef fillet so we didn’t know until cutting it open. Although we received a refund (sans postage), much like the other reviewer we received a half hearted apology, and a pointlessly small discount off my next order. Won’t be ordering again from company with such a poor level of food hygiene and control.

When I cut into my Beef Wellington on…

When I cut into my Beef Wellington on Christmas Day it was not beef but salmon. I was very disappointed and complained to Pipers. They apologised and refunded the payment but not the postage, which I had to request. I would have preferred a replacement but that was not offered. The problem seemed to be in the labelling but I felt a perfunctory apology and a refund was not enough to continue ordering from them.

Ordered from here for the first time before Christmas. Ordered beef shin, and short ribs, cooked both in the slow cooker and shredded to make birria tacos. Amazing. Had to keep “testing it”

Didn’t fulfil my new years order

Didn’t fulfil my new years order. Ordered in advance and had a call the day before to say they would be unable to deliver the food I ordered for our New Year’s Day roast. Left with a day to sort good quality meat for 8 people!!
I understand that they are refunding but how long will this take? Putting me £50 out of pocket just after Christmas to try and sort

A taste sensation!

I ordered a taster selection of meat from Pipers Farm and used the roasting joint for guests after Christmas. Always concerned about over cooking it and losing the medium/rare quality , I followed their online instructions; the result was perfectly cooked, melt in the mouth beef. My guests couldn’t get over how tender it was. I will be using this company again.
