Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 64 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found the website and app to be of poor quality, describing them as confusing, buggy, and unintuitive. Customers frequently reported that the educational content was ineffective, with lessons being too long, vague, and failing to adequately explain concepts. Reviewers felt that the product did not facilitate learning, often presenting information that didn't align with tests or requiring users to already possess knowledge. A minority of people were dissatisfied with the product, citing issues with glitches, unengaging content, and a lack of proper explanations. However, some customers also noted that the self-paced nature of the platform was a positive aspect, and a few found the career search tool useful.

It's not good

The instruction and assignments it provides are developmentally inappropriate, assesses things it hasn't taught, and are filled with grammatical and spelling errors. Moreover, the pace it prescribes violates the guidelines Edmentum gives to parents about how much time students should spend on-line.

The worst educational site I've ever worked with.

I'm a junior in highschool. I'm currently doing a lesson on studying with Edmentum. This would not be a problem with me if there were not for the extensive, tedious amounts of text to read and answers to type. It is so incredibly monotonous to do it over and over and over and over and over and over! Who learns like this? Who does this work best for? Could anyone tell me THE POINT of all of the writing tasks given??

I would rather tear my teeth out individually and then eat an entire bag of stale tortilla chips than continue using this website

I would begin this review with one main complaint, but where do I even start? The lessons are just walls of text with the occasional question sprinkled in so students can't just spam the "next" arrow, and the following progress checks work off of a bank of questions that
have nothing to do with the material from the lessons. On top of that, after the tests, students are given no indication of what they did wrong and are only provided with their percentage of correct answers in each subject. So, after completely redoing the exact same lesson (which often includes extensive writing assignments), If they get below an 80 on the test again, they're sent back to subjects they already know and the lessons repeat. For example, after getting a 60% on my second attempt at a progress check, my course was switched from a unit on understanding and writing memoirs to a tutorial on note-taking. Making students redo material they already know without even telling them their mistakes is a punitive and terribly thought-out way to reteach a lesson. Edmentum's approach to learning teaches students to do the bare minimum, because they won't be using the material they're being taught anyway. Across every subject it attempts to educate in, this website will fail to teach you a thing.

You aren't taught

The tutorials teach you nothing about what you are tested on. For example, I was doing graphs in the tutorial then they tested me on algebra. map accelerator is the better alternative and doing edmentum makes me want to die.

As a parent

As a parent, I cannot say how terrible this curriculum is. My student is taking 9th grade English and it’s actually stressed him out to the point that he isn’t sleeping. The content itself, as far as excerpts and lesson topics go, isn’t an issue. The issue comes in with the structure of the exercises used to teach and with how things are phrased in the form of questions and answers when testing. When a student takes a test, they are given a percentage of what they got correct. They are not shown what they got incorrect and given an explanation as to why. They are redirected to the exercises they failed and have no way to know how to approach them differently. The questions on the tests are, in themselves problematic, because they are vaguely worded, rather than being specific. The multiple choice answers are worded indirectly, which causes further confusion. It seems as if this curriculum was designed with deception and trickery being more of a goal rather than the objective being to teach. It doesn’t seem helpful or productive. That is the case when errors are just counted against you and are not explained. Terrible, terrible program which I would assume causes many kids to feel inadequate due a very flawed design which strips them of any ability to learn in any productive way.

EDMENTUM SUCKS!!!

STOP MAKING THIS THING TEACH US!! It is SO BAD and it's teaching me stuff that is either to hard and I didn't learn it, or stuff easy stuff that I already learned. I go to Fort Dorchester Elementary School and they use this monstrosity! I don't learn anything! But I just read during our 25 minute Edmentum time, and my teacher doesn't notice. My teacher even agrees that we should bring back our old app because Edmentum SUCKS!!! And EVERYONE at my school agrees. But for short EDMENTUM SUCKS!!!!

Edmentum: a monstrosity of an learning website.

I am a frequent user of Edmentum, but not of my own choice. My school is forced to use this "learning" website three times a week when we could be working on actual school work and improving our grades. It's a glitchy app, that doesn't always work. My teachers and the website frequently say that Edmentum's "learning" paths are customized to what you failed on standardized testing, but I was 96% better than my peers in language arts and Edmentum assigned me a path that was titled "What is a pronoun?" and proceeded to ask me kindergarten level questions like "find the pronoun: 1. Jim 2. him 3. across." Even if I did get a question wrong on the test about pronouns, that doesn't mean I need a five-part path about what a pronoun even is. People constantly have to redo lessons too, because you hypothetically get 2 questions wrong on an assessment. It doesn't explain what you did wrong, it doesn't explain it differently, it just says "Uh oh! You got 8/10 questions correct!" and you're sent to the lesson start page like you haven't even started the lesson. The website is constantly inconsistent in its material. Edmentum works down on the morale of students and wastes our time making us do baby work. Please stop its reign of terror over my school.

The worst thing I've ever experienced - Milo :/

Ok, so first of all, this is the worst website that you will ever be in. This is as bad as Youtube Rewind 2018. I swear I can never pass graphs of linear relationships. My school uses it too! Please shut this website down because in Youtube Shorts, I heard that it works with Temu and is spying on your devices and accounts and location. Delete this NOW PLEASE.

Most awful thing ive ever experienced

Most awful thing ive ever experienced in my life. Please shut this down. It ruins kids mental stability and makes them feel stupid and angry when they dont get a trophy for their challenge. It also has nothing from the lessons on the progress check. Its purposely making kids angry when what they learned on the lessons is a complete different topic than the progress check. Please get rid of it schools.

The website is poorly designed. Makes me and other students mad. you need an 80 then you get a 60. Test questions are usually wrong. Just an overall shizzy and half-assed desinged website. SCHOOLS ARE JAILS FOR USING THIS. Just a glorified powerpoint

Edementum is extremely unmotivating

I'm currently in 10th grade, using Edmentum through ASU Prep Digital and it has truly taken away all of my motivation for school. Although I get the work done and strive to make it my best, the extremely long, uninteresting pages truly make my learning an incredibly unpleasant experience. For someone who has to use this course for every subject, it's very difficult to feel accomplished at the end of the day due to not always getting as much done as I had envisioned. My English and History lessons aren't as bad since they don't consist of very difficult material. However, when it comes to Geometry and Chemistry that involve complicated formulas, I find that they don't break it down enough and present it in a very overwhelming manner. Last year, Edmentum was used in two classes and I felt that it was much more enjoyable, but now that they use it for every subject, it's too much. Lastly, since there is so much reading in each class, when you move on to another, it's easy to feel very exhausted and find it hard to grasp new material. Therefore, I hope that this course can start to incorporate more engaging videos and shorten down the pages
