Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 63 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found the website and app to be poorly designed, with issues like being confusing, slow, buggy, and unintuitive, making it difficult to navigate and learn effectively. Customers consistently reported that the product itself, particularly the lessons and tutorials, was ineffective for learning, often consisting of bland slideshows with insufficient explanations and sometimes inaccurate or outdated information. The quality of the educational content was frequently criticized, with many feeling they learned nothing from the platform, and some even resorted to cheating due to the difficulty and tediousness of the assignments. However, some customers also noted that the self-paced nature of the activities was a positive aspect, allowing them to control their learning speed. A few other people also felt that the platform helped them review existing knowledge and learn new things, and appreciated a built-in page for career searches.

an explanation as to show I am not spedd

if I could give this a negative rating I would, but since I cant I must say that this is the worst learning tool anyone has ever developed even teachers say so. we are forced to use this during school instead of working on our actual graded subjects taught by actual teachers. and all this does is show the people funding our schools that we are becoming spedd in reality we just have time taken away from us that we could be using to actually learn. I hope whoever is in charge of this takes some initiative to get rid of it or go to hell for not doing so thank you.

This site sucks so bad like this is a joke

The first day I used this, I immediately thought, "Who the hell thought that this was an idea that could be considered anything close to decent at all?" Anyone who doesn't see an issue with this has probably never seen the actual site for themselves, and just take the word of the people who created this extremely poor excuse of a learning program.

Schools really need to actually investigate a site before using them. Just because some dumb and idiotic people (aka the creators of Edmentum) say that some random site is good for students doesn't actually mean it's good at all. Our teacher gave us an assignment, and it didn't even save any progress we had. Nobody could finish it in time. If you couldn't finish, you just started from the beginning.

Nobody likes this program. Nobody wants to have to do this. Everybody just clicks through the tutorials as fast as possible. Everybody hates this site so much. Almost every single review is a 1 star review, and the 5 star reviews are complete jokes. And our district still thinks Edmentum is good for students.

First of all, whenever you get anything wrong, it either just tells you the answer with no explanation, or just says you're wrong, also with no explanation. It doesn't even tell you which part you got wrong. If you get a question wrong on a progress check, it just says you got something wrong and it doesn't tell you what you got wrong. I need to know what I got wrong in order to focus on the things I need to know in order to get past the progress check.

If you struggle to complete a course you have, instead of the app trying to help you by focusing on the skills you don't have, you're forced to restart the same course, over and over again for eternity. The progress checks always ask questions that have absolutely nothing to do with what you've learned in the tutorial of the topic.

The courses are always either WAY too difficult, or WAY too easy. In the Language Arts section, the program literally makes me learn about stuff like literal CAPITALIZATION, COMMAS, and SPELLING. I AM NOT A KINDERGARTENER. I KNOW MUCH MORE THAN HOW TO SPELL THE WORD CAT. ............... In the Reading section, the progress checks make me read passages that take the entire Edmentum session we get to read. Bro, you can't just expect me to read the entire bible just for one singular question.

This program is so utterly horrible that I wrote a 10-paragraph essay just to express how bad this garbage is. [clean edition]

This "learning" program is so bad that it's completely unthinkable. It's so horrible that I NEED an option to give negative stars just because of the fact that this is a real thing that exists. This program is so painful to use that it would be WAY more fitting to be a replacement for prison sentences than an actual curriculum. This program is so enraging that I would rather drop out of school before reaching middle school than have to use this program for anything after the rest of the school year. I am forced to endure this complete garbage in school, every day, and I have never learned a new thing. In fact, I feel like I'm losing braincells because of it.

The first day I used this, I immediately thought, "Who thought that this was an idea that could be considered anything close to decent at all?" The text-to-speech voices used in the app also have a problem. Sometimes, you're literally forced to listen to the text-to-speech voices before you can answer a question, which is very, VERY annoying. The voices themselves are so emotionless and robotic that I'm so sure that there's no way that any human could've made the voices.

There are always stuff about Stig and Chip. No matter where you go in the site, theres always Stig or Chip there. I'm so tired of "learning" about Stig and Chip's extremely unrealistic and boring life. I'm so tired of reading passages that are as long as the bible 5 times just for one random progress check. I'm tired of being forced to use the most boring "learning" program ever. Can you even call this anything close to a "learning" program at all?

If your school starts forcing you to use this extremely low-effort program that was made by people who have no idea how students are supposed to learn, just transfer straight to a new school immediately. You don't want to use this program, you don't want to have this program, you don't want to interact with this program, and you don't want to know that this program is a thing that exists. Humans are supposed to be considered intelligent lifeforms, but the fact that something like this was made by humans makes me question if that is anything close to true.

TL;DR: Edmentum is so bad that it makes me question humanity as a whole.

Dear Edmentum

Dear Edmentum,
As a fifth grade student THIS EFFING SH*TY WEBSITE SUCKS. IF I DO THIS ANY MORE I WILL FLEP OUT SO HARD I WILL GO TO HAIL!! As part of my school newspaper team, we worked hard to form an article against Edmentum. We interviewed our principal, and confirmed that Edmentum would be banned next year due to the student complaints, and loss of braincells. EDMENTUM CAN BE VERY COFUZING (see what I mean I’m losing braincells!! Edmentum be like MWUAHAHAHAH) AND HARD TO USE AND SUPER EFFING FRUSTRATING AND THE LOADING TIME WILL SEND ME TO HAIL. *deep breaths. Deeeeeep breaths*

For a homeschool program

For a homeschool program, the cost seemed reasonable, until I had to hire a retired teacher. I have spent many hours also helping my child and wish I had seen the past review regarding the culinary course. Many of the test questions in this course have fill in the blank where there could be multiple correct answers such as crock-pot/slow cooker or molded/sculpted. Even when placing both correct answers in the blank, the system will count it wrong. One answer was counted incorrect for using the abbreviation following the answer of "Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC)." For the unit activities, even with 100% of the rubric requirements being met, the culinary instructor is marking off points for not providing information not requested in the instructions. In one activity, she marked off stating she preferred another type of measurement to be used. My child questioned this when doing the assignment and we instructed them to use ounces as that is what was shown in the instructor's sample. As far as the other courses, the instructors have been fair and reasonable. Unfortunately, all of the unit activities require an extensive amount of research, reports, and essays on single topics that the tutor expressed are overboard and taking time away from learning more important information. If your child wants a career in research or writing reports and essays, then this may be the perfect curriculum. However, I recently spoke with a local school administrator who mentioned they used Edmentum in the past and it was so awful for the students, the following year they went with another company.

Sorry excuse for education

The Edmentum “learning” platform is excellent at teaching kids to hate school. It clearly demonstrates why we need to pay flesh and blood teachers with a heart and a brain. Dry, boring, difficult to navigate lessons that often do not cover the material in tests. And answers to test questions are frequently vague, incorrect, and lack nuance. Horrible program, stay away if you can. Does an excellent job of frustrating my son, his tutor, and me.

People hate Edmentum

The only reason I'm not putting this on the one star is because no one would see this. The reviews are all one stars and the 5 star reviews are jokes. My entire school hates Edmentum, you couldn't find one person who actually likes it. The school newspaper is even writing an article on why Edmentum is bad. Don't force high schoolers to do Edmentum!

I’m a student who is forced to use this…

I’m a student who is forced to use this awful program. It says I 60% on a progress check and I failed. 60 should be a pass. That’s 3/5. Also, the progress checks aren’t even about what they “taught” us in the lesson. It’s always totally different. If I “fail” a progress check, they make me do the same lesson (that didn’t teach me anything btw) over and over again. Like, do you really think that making me do the same lesson over and over again will make me pass your crappy progress check? No! Overall, exact path sucks. Never use this. Mental tourture

I do not recommend this program.

As a teacher, I am incredibly disappointed with the Exact Path program. It is supposed to provide personalized learning paths for students, but in reality, it falls short on many levels.

First of all, the content is not engaging at all. The lessons are dry and lack any real-world applications, making it difficult for students to stay focused and interested. In addition, the program does not offer enough variety in terms of activities and assessments, which can lead to boredom and disengagement.

Another issue is that the program's algorithm for determining a student's learning path is often inaccurate. It seems to rely too heavily on test scores, and doesn't take into account other factors that can affect a student's learning, such as motivation, interests, and learning style. As a result, many students end up working on content that is too difficult or too easy for them, which can be frustrating and demotivating.

The program's user interface is also clunky and difficult to navigate. It takes too many clicks to get to the content students need, and there are often glitches that cause the program to freeze or crash.

Overall, I would not recommend Exact Path to any teacher looking for an effective and engaging personalized learning program for their students. There are much better options out there that provide a more robust and personalized learning experience.
