I bought Lectus stools and trolleys from Einrichten Design for work. Their communication was very good throughout the whole process, taking into account various changes to the order. They offered to arrange the freight carrier and customs processes (for an additional fee), which was not available from other European vendors. It was nicely and securely packed but it was also easy to unpack from the pallet.

Unprofessional, irresponsible and rude company
Einrichten design is not a trustworthy company. I am facing with such unprofessional, irresponsible and rude service and unwillingness to solve customer problems (occured by company fault) for the first time. Their working processes and customer service are absolutely not adapted to sell products online.
I ordered 8 dining chairs at their online store. 2 chairs arrived heavily damaged. It is unclear if they were already sent defected or were damaged during the delivery (no visual damage on the box).
I contacted them immediately. You won’t believe what they offered me to do! They told me to drive with the damaged chairs to a USPS office and make a damage report on my part, forward these documents including the damage number to them and then send the defected chairs back to them at my own expense. I could not believe they are serious! They failed to deliver undamaged product to me and now they ask me to spend my time and money on fixing their failures? I was forced to spend my time on sending them tons of emails stating this approach is surely not acceptable for me and that the only solution that works for me is to send me the replacement chairs (standard approach that trustworthy and respectable companies utilize for solving customer problems occured by their (company’s) fault, right? But not for Einrichten design. They should have offerred it to me by themselves in their first email).
They made me feel like it was me who did something wrong and is asking something extra from them.
Finally they said that they will refund me the price of 2 chairs and from that moment they stop any customer relationship with me (I copy pasted this text from their email). So how it at all solved the problem for me?
I have 6 chairs instead of 8. The size of my table requires exactly 8 chairs, I do not need 6. All 8 chairs around the table should be identical of course. I am in US and there is no any other store where I can buy exactly these chairs. What am I supposed to do with these 6 chairs? The only thing I can do now is to go to some other store and buy some other set of 8 identical chairs. So the money I spent for the rest 6 chairs are actually spent for nothing, I just lost them. I am very sad and really surprised that this kind of scam companies still exist on the American and European market.

I was unable to purchase Vipp items in the UK so I decided to use the einrichten design website. I purchased a number of items and they all come very quick and I am happy to be able to purchase Vipp products. Unfortunately one of the products was faulty. einrichten customers services was very helpful and got a replacement to me. Great service. Thanks!
Incorrect Address - No refund
I made an order last year that was not delivered and I was not refunded. They made a mistake on their end where they put the wrong zip code for the order and it was stuck in mail limbo. The package was marked lost by USPS.

WARNING: Do not buy from here if you are in the US
WARNING TO US CLIENTS: buy from this website at your own risk. I learned the hard way that European appliances do not work in the United States without the purchase of bulky, expensive step-up converters. No one at Einrichten thought to perhaps warn me about this issue—why even send appliances to the US if you know that this problem exists? They're essentially worthless here.
No biggie, I thought, most companies provide returns for exactly this reason. Well in addition to having to pay international shipping and wait weeks for the shipment, Einrichten refused to cover the return shipping costs and sent me a stark warning about the credit only being refunded after some sort of "checking" process in the warehouse. So now, I have to find someone to ship this appliance back internationally, pay for the freight, and won't get any refund until some arbitrary "checking" process is completed by Einrichten. Horrible customer service, I'd never buy from here again.
UPDATE: If you find yourself in my position, DO NOT follow the advice provided by Einrichten, which is to buy a cheap adapter. This will not work and will damage your machine. If you do decide to purchase from here and use a European appliance, you will need to purchase a bulky and expensive stepup adapter. Einrichten downplayed my concerns and patronizingly suggested that everyone knows you can just buy an adapter for a few dollars to fix the problem. Incredible ignorance for a company that deals in electronics.
SECOND UPDATE:
After receiving a drunken, insulting email from the managing director of the company because I insisted they follow their own policy of reimbursing clients once confirmation of shipment had been sent, Einrichten dragged their heels for weeks on their reimbursement. After reassuring me they would reimburse me 270 dollars (that's only the cost of the original purchase plus shipping --- I had to pay 91 USD to ship the return) they had the gall to refund me only 230 dollars! They seriously tried to cheat me out of 40 dollars. Avoid at all costs.
THIRD UPDATE:
Einrichten has asked in their reply that I refrain from false claims, so I'll just make it clear for anyone interested:
1. Einrichten's official policy is to refund the cost of the original item and of the shipping from seller to customer, but the customer pays for the return shipping.
2. In my case, that came out to 230 dollars for the machine, 41 dollars for shipping from seller to customer, and 90 dollars for me to ship the machine back to Germany.
3. In an email from May 3rd, they confirm they will pay me back the 230 + 41 = 271 dollars.
4. They subsequently refund me 230 dollars. I have now paid 130 dollars in shipping for an item I will not use.
5. I write to them asking why they have not refunded the 41 dollars for the original shipping and update my review on trustpilot.
6. They write back saying they have refunded me my money and don't understand why I want 41 EUROS, then also reply here accusing me of false claims.
Completely unbelievable pettiness. This company does not abide by its own terms of service and is abusive towards customers. Avoid at all costs.

I have been buying from einrichten-design for a long time. I have bought furniture and home accessories and everything has always been just as they promised: perfect designs, colors and also a convenient delivery. The website is very accessible and with a lot of items to find, from classics and bauhaus design to contemporary or vintage. There is something for everybody. I can only recommend them!
The worst customer service
It is my first time making an order on this site.
TODAY IS MAR 16.
I make a purchase order on Jan 16 and I received an email it is dispatched on Jan 21.
I checked every day for an update for delivery but it does not update since Jan 23 so, I email the customer service what is going on where is my order.
I received an email with "unfortunately, I can't do anything else, we need a response from DHL here."
So I ask for how long? The first time they said about 6weeks. 6weeks? 6 FREAKING WEEEEEKKKSSS?? And then I did not receive any email updates for weeks.
Again I emailed them what I need to wait for? I need to know the right answer about my order. Am I waiting for a refund or replacement? They did not say anything about my question and then now they say need to wait for 4-8weeks. It is over 3month!! it means I already wait for 12weeks.
Today I received an email they still in contact with DHL to found my order. STILL?? FOR 3MONTH? STILL, CONTACT WITH DHL?
They charge for my order and I did not get my order on time. NEED RIGHT RESPONSE FOR CUSTOMER.
The worst customer service ever.

4 Months Later And Still No Products
Their site listed products I purchased in November 2020 as being in stock. ONE MONTH after I paid for my purchases up-front via bank transfer to Germany, I had to contact them to find out where my purchases were. I’ve been getting the run-around and conflicting stories since. One week they miraculously have everything that was not available (even though these items are in stock in many US retailers) and they’re shipping—the next week they’re waiting on the items with no ETA. I’ve emailed with the sales clerk, shipping clerk and store manager and have gotten nowhere but caught up in their pointless lies. To top it off, they now say one of my purchases is shipping but on closer inspection, they’re sending it to the wrong address! I contacted everyone at the store to correct the address and have received ZERO response. Do yourself a favor—STAY AWAY FROM EINRICHTEN DESIGN!

The worst store in the world to purchase from, failed to cancel order prior to dispatch, no tracking provided, phone calls ignored, emails ignored, money taken from my account and no product received in over 2 months! I am so disappointed... this must be a scam! No one answers the phone! I am out of pocket and no product.
re: damaged goods
Ordered 3 lights. It took a while to get here to the USA but that was expected and didn't bother me in the slightest. It took 3 days to hear back but the seller is refunding me for 1 light. Thank you.

Hi, thank you for clarifying. I have gone on to your site to see this message and indeed there is a message, but there are two problems with your banner should you be interested in knowing why you are still receiving UK orders.
1) the first sentence, which is a hyperlink, says ‘discover our current promotions’; very few people are going to read past that first sentence. Instead they will click the hyperlink to see the offers, because this offer is an attractive carrot.
And because of this, I didn’t see the sentence underneath that said you aren’t delivering to the UK.
If I could suggest to your design team to separate these two conflicting messages.
2) Blue isn’t a call to action trigger.

I don't mind that they've cancelled my order. It was probably going to get caught up in the debacle that is brexit.
Even so, unhelpful. I found out via a Paypal refund that they had cancelled. Then came an automated email saying it was cancelled citing possible (but totally incorrect) reasons as to why it might have been cancelled.
So change your SEO to not target UK customers. That would be mightily helpful

I ordered a sample book for 13 pounds…
I ordered a sample book for 13 pounds online. To my surprise the postage was also 13 pounds. Outrageous as it is so light. Other companies do not charge for samples becuase it encourages people. It was not transparent on the site that the postage would cost that much. Within minutes, I emailed them and asked to cancel the purchase. I had a response but no action. I then found myself receiving the invoice and the money removed from my account depsite me cancelling the order within minutes, all of which was provable through examining the times on email. I have since emailed again and received NO reply.
I now have it, am thoroughly annoyed and put off buying anything from you. So, I would have bought an expensive rug but will go elsewhere. This might seem a small amount but it indicates a complete disregard for decent customers.
Misleading product advice, queries dismissed and ignored
After lengthy discussion with this shop, I bought their recommended replacement cover for a Cassini Wink armchair. At 750 Euros a simple removable cover in a non-luxury poplin fabric seemed quite expensive, but I decided to go ahead as the chair itself is still in excellent condition and I expected at least a well made, well fitting product that would extend the life of the chair. What I received is like an ill-fitting apron. It does not cover the chair completely, the old cover is still visible. Every time you sit on the chair the cover puckers and wrinkles. It looks awful.
On explaining my dissatisfaction and requesting how I might return the product I was curtly informed (after a 3-week delay) that this cover is a ‘spare part’, and as such not returnable. Nowhere on Erinrichten’s website is it described as a spare part. The shop has completely ignored my subsequent correspondence. Avoid this business at all costs. This is my worst retail experience in decades.

Happy Canadian Customer
Happy with my furniture purchase and shipping to Canada. Lead time was spot on (2-3 weeks from manufacturer to Einrichten). Delivery was longer than I expected - but that is okay due to changes in air freight from COVID-19 (the shipping cost was very reasonable). My shipment instead went by sea, which was a DHL decision. After sea freight from Germany to Canada, it was pretty standard to get my purchase from Eastern Canada to Western Canada. From point of purchase to delivery - a little more than 2 months. Tracking was available for the entire shipment trip - so there was no need to bug them about delays. Overall - Einrichten had the most affordable total price by a large margin even including shipping.
Not bad for a made to order design purchase.
Won’t buy from them again
It took longer than 3-4 weeks to receive my items. That would be fine by itself. No rush on my side. Some pro-active communication at the point they knew they would be late would be bonus... but the main issue is with their delivery service.
They chose to ship with some no-name carrier and the tax at the border was handled by some 3rd party that added 120 CHF in admin fees on VAT of 36 CHF. Shipping cross border, I expect to pay some fees - DHL charges 25 admin and VAT on top. 120 is outrageous - more than 25% the cost of the item itself!!
The company could care less and didn’t allow me to cancel delivery since my item was apparently custom ordered. Never again.
