Good for the soul to see rescued animals having much happier life. Our guide Mint was really amazing at talking to us about each individual elephant which showed to great bond between carers and elephants. This is not a place for tourists to interact with elephants, instead visitors are to observe the and learn about the elephants. Truly one of the most ethical sanctuaries we have been to.
This very well may be my favorite place I’ve ever been. Lek and her team do the most incredible job taking care of these incredible creatures and the visitors. Their work is so crucial and being able to witness it is indescribable! I would definitely look into doing a longer term volunteer program, as well!
