Complicated to get the settings right
Initially, I had a lot of problems with this storage heater (the ECOHHR30), as the heater did not seem to be heating up enough to warm the room during the day and there was a persistent Error code showing when I did the current status function tests. Initially, the installing electricians liaised with the Elnur help desk to supposedly re-set the heater, but the error code kept showing the next morning. I did get pretty stressed out about it all, as the electricians' invoice was a pretty heft amount and I was v.reluctant to pay it until I was 100% sure the heater was working as it should. Evenutually I liaised with one particular adviser on the Help desk (Erin), who asked me to do 2 days worth of readings and then went through all the settings with me to reset the heater. I had been reluctant to contact them direct, as I have some hearing loss, but given the electricians hadn't managed to sort it, I felt I had no choice. Erin was patient and repeated anything I didn't initially hear. Thank goodness the next morning, the heater had clearly charged overnight and felt warm to the touch and, most importantly, the error code had finally gone and, fingers crossed, it hasn't appeared again. Therefore I would urge anyone who is struggling with the settings, to ring the Help desk direct and persist. My advice to 'Elnur' would be to add in a bit more info about the 'current status function' tests and readings and give an idea of what they should be . Also 3 of the readings they asked me for, aren't even mentioned in the Operations instructions and I only knew about them because one of the advisers said 'there should be 3 more'!....; it would be useful therefore, if they could be added in as well (on page 9), again with a bit of info on what the readings mean). At the moment though, I am happy with the heater, although I do have to resort to still using my gas fire in the evenings, but this is probably due to my room being quite open plan, i.e, with front and back entrances leading direct into the room and an open stair way up to landing - making it not an easy room to heat.

The installers were very courteous and…
The installers were very courteous and polite, they work well.cleaned up their mess, only complaint is I was left with the cardboard boxes from all the heaters ,as an 82 years old lady, I found this a bit much. They said they weren’t contracted to take away the boxes.

Boiler repair
Was such a smooth process from start to finish. James the engineer was very professional, helpful and just made everything stress free. He fixed the part that was faulty on my boiler and and even changed some settings which he talked us through so that my boiler worked more efficiently. Thanks again James.

Avoid if you want to be warm
Elnur heaters are incredibly expensive to run, impossible to alter the settings, noisy, and you get more heat in the room by simply breathing. I am writing this at 12.50am having been woken up by the fan. If you have any sense at all, do not invest in this junk. Storage heaters are a defunct technology and the new designs are far less effective at heating a space than the old ones. Avoid like the plague as these products only exist due to the net zero gravy train.

From your comments, it sounds like the heaters may be undersized for your space, which could explain why it’s not providing the level of warmth you expect. Storage heaters work by charging up during off-peak hours and using a fan to distribute stored heat. Our heaters are designed to maintain a set temperature, which is why the fan may operate at night. If the heater isn’t the right size for the room, it may struggle to maintain the desired temperature and the fan will run for longer periods.
