Bury St Edmunds branch. In the past, this has been ideal. Two family gatherings in the last fortnight have been badly spoiled by extremely slow service (nice waiting staff though). We had so long to... See more

FANTASTIC FOOD LET DOWN BY CARELESS PACKING
BEAUTIFUL FOOD, GRAVY OUTSTANDING, MORE CARE PACKING REQUIRED, PUT COLD ITEMS SEPARATE FROM HOT ITEMS NOT ON TOP OF THE HOT FOOD!
The Apple Tree West Bridgford Nottingham
This is the 2nd & LAST time I've experienced poor service, waiting time & quality of food. It took 49mins from ordering to receive our food. The lasagne was burnt to + bottom, the bass was not appetising small quantiy, the steak pie filling was hard along with the pastry. Our conclusion was the meals had been sitting under heat lamps for longer than necessary. Minimal staff, although the guy with the blonde ponytail seemed to be the only staff with pace.
I have now unistalled the app & in future we will bypas for The Nottingham Knight!!

Poor quality meal
We had a take out meal from the Foley Arms, Pedmore on 15th March. Sirloin steak at just over £16 was very poor, majority grissle and fat. Very disappointed, if we had been dining in we would have asked for a replacement.
An expensive uneadable meal
Ordered a steak meal at the Cardiff Deri inn- it was totally, totally disgusting! Spent over16.00. received what reassembled a small steak thrown into a cardboard box with some undercooked chips. The meal was stone cold. I ordered the meal online and had to call the unhelpful pub twice before it was eventually delivered- very late, very cold and uneadable. Totally disgusting. I've taken photos to back up the state of the food delivered. Would never use again,or recommend
Ship Ashore Milton Keynes
Ship Ashore Milton Keynes - Turned up at 12.15 for lunch to be told chefs are all having lunch so there will be a wait of 30 minutes. 60 minutes later our lunch arrived but all wrong barring one order. Absolute jokers!
The Fieldhouse - Solihull - inedible food
The Fieldhouse - Solihull
Probably one of the most disgusting meals I have had in a long time.
I ordered sirloin steak at £18.50. The serrated steak knife would not cut the meat so chewing it was virtually impossible. My friend ordered the same and her's wasn't quite as bad but we both left at least half of the meat. The dish came with a grilled flat mushroom. I put one piece in my mouth and had to spit it out. It tasted like TCP. I don't know whether it had been cooked on a rancid grill but it was truly awful.
The onion rings were not rings - they were small straight pieces that looked as if they had been scooped up out of the bottom of the fryer as they were super greasy.
The best thing was the grilled tomato.
We complained to the waitress who said sorry!
Seriously such poor customer service
This if for the wheatsheaf in Grimsby …… Went here for For a colleagues leaving do they wanted to do a pub quiz so called the pub and they confirmed it is on Thursday… 2 colleagues travelled from Scunthorpe for this , we arrive, sit down at 6.45 and order food, only for a very abrupt lady to say the kitchen is closed. So I accompany her to the till for a refund only for her to say to a colleague , can you tell the kitchen to ignore this order… so the kitchen is not closed then???? So refunded food and I said we will still get the drinks then?? Yes she tells me…. 8 mins later another person comes to say did you still want the drinks??? I said yes as here for the quiz , the staff member (much nicer than the previous one ) said oh the quiz is not on now… so back to the till for these to be refunded and throughout this not a single apology. On the way out people over heard us talking about the quiz not being on which was a surprise to them too…
This is not how to run a business let alone a hospitality business not good at all!!!!
Sunday lunch at The California
Great customer care from Casey at The California in Sutton. Thanks for going the extra mile to accommodate us and our grandchildren for Sunday lunch
Still Dreadful Service
The Crown Wickham Road Shirley Croydon
Not been here for about 5 years because of bad service . .Went tonight with a friend for a drink and a meal . .First drink ok . . .Go back to the bar to order food and drinks . .Wait and wait as customers build up . .Extra staff member appears way too late . .We cut our losses and go elsewhere to eat and drink where service is spot on . .Nothings changed at The Crown then . .
No hot water in Ember Inn toilets
I Love my local Ember Inn. Great staff in a lovely clean pub restaurant environment, in a lovely area.
Well it looks that way but I just hope the kitchen and bar staff have better toilets than their customers have to use.
Were Ember Inns has to take a lesson from Wetherspoons is the toilets. You must by law provide hot water at least, so people can wash their hands, with soap and a dryer blowing warm air would also be a bonus. We should have learned lessons from the covid time. You need to encourage hand washing not discourage people worried about legionnaires disease if this water is standing in a no longer heated tank.
As for the rest of the fittings, they are shamed by Wetherspoons. Would you suffer this at home.
This Ember Inn has been like this for the last couple of years that I know of so it's not a temporary maintenance issue. I have turned all the sink taps on and waited for any heat.
What a shame there is such contrast in this lovely building.
They are very poor
They are very poor
They entertain a very rough crowd
They employ arrogant, bullying low level staff
Keep away at all costs
Their food is rubbish and their prices are high

We had 60th celebration on Monday 24th February for my brother and ordered gold buffet.
Lot people never turned up but what a beautiful spread they put on great variety food some hot, could not fault it and service they provided was excellent.
We had great day and wer provided with small box to take any food away.
Must say I would recommend and if I have no hesitation in booking there again for party.
All so the main menu food is all so very nice.

We had a fabulous meal at The Sandringham on Thursday evening. Top quality food served piping hot.
A big shout out to Paul, the duty manager and Tracey in the kitchen
We visited The Crown
We visited The Crown, Shirley for lunch. Plenty of space, light and airy.
Sadly, the quality of the food was poor. Could not taste the mushroom inside the batter, the batter being thick and leathery. Chips were hard and cold. Burger of cheap quality.
Side salad was a couple of lettuce leaves, with tomato. No dressing available.
Shepherd's pie was heavy and claggy. We will not return.
