I was advised not to join because the sauna will never be sorted, the showers are temperamental, and the staff care more about signing people up to their PT classes than actually looking after the gym.
Whilst some equipment is good, and I can get my workout done. The showers aren't great, the lockers are always full of rubbish, the toilets generally not clean.
If I could get out of my contract I would, because the price I pay I could go to PureGym and have a very clean larger gym with fully functional facilities.
For what I get here, could get it at a random gym for half the price monthly. For this cost, could get full super clean working gym.
The potential here is brilliant, but I feel the staff/owners may not be inclined to reach that potential.

With regard to the sauna, these facilities were decommissioned several years ago and it has been openly communicated since that time that they would not be reinstated. We understand that this may be disappointing for some members, but it has not been a hidden or unresolved issue.
We are concerned to hear your comments regarding cleanliness in the changing rooms and toilets. This is something we take seriously, and we will be addressing this with our cleaning and management teams to ensure standards are consistently maintained.
In terms of pricing and value, our memberships are structured to reflect what we offer as a fully manned gym. We aim to provide not just access to equipment, but a friendly, community-focused environment where members feel supported. Having staff on site allows us to offer guidance, assistance on the gym floor, and a more personal, sociable experience, which we believe adds value beyond that of an unmanned or budget-only facility.
We are also sorry to hear your perception of staff priorities. Our team’s primary focus is always on supporting members, maintaining the gym, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Additional services such as personal training are offered to those who want them, but never at the expense of general member care. Your feedback will be shared with the team to reinforce this balance.
Our club manager has also contacted you directly to discuss the issues you raised, and we hope this conversation has helped to provide reassurance, clarity, and answers to your concerns.
We genuinely believe the club has strong potential and are committed to continuous improvement. Constructive feedback such as yours helps us identify where we need to focus, and we appreciate you taking the time to raise these concerns.

Brilliant gym with a wide range of…
Brilliant gym with a wide range of facilities and classes. All the PTs have something different to offer which means the classes vary each time and are never boring. I've been training with Niall who has been great at helping me get fit again. Charlotte (Leech) has been instrumental in helping my wife get into her best shape, not only physically but mentally too. The gym provides a positive environment where everyone is welcome.

I’ve been coming to this gym for 10…
I’ve been coming to this gym for 10 years on and off and always feel at home when I’m there. Great staff that have been there throughout the years and great staff there currently! Sydney is a brilliant PT, puts me through my paces. Just needs to go easy with the Bulgarian squats!

10/10 gym with great staff
This is a great gym, I have been a member for about 12 months and I can honestly say it’s a fantastic community! I was a little afraid to go on my own at first but everyone has been really helpful and kind, the staff are amazing especially Charlotte, she’s so knowledgeable and works are tough but wow she gets you results!

Andy on front desk is always smiling and makes you feel welcome
The gym is very welcoming from the minute you arrive - Andy greets you with a smile and always asks about my day.
I believe he took one of the Friday morning classes and the women said he was great, unfortunately I missed the session that week.

Great gym, equipment, classes and staff!
I’ve been a member of this gym for just over a year. I think it’s a great gym, plenty of space and equipment and a nice friendly feel. I particularly enjoy the classes. Niall, Evie, Adam and Sydney run the classes I attend the most and they are hard work but great fun too. I’ve been a member at a few gyms and I’d recommend this one highly.

Thank you Charlotte Leech and Team énergie Fitness Hyde
I’m a fairly confident gym-floor regular, but I wanted to widen what I do by adding in boxing. I was a complete beginner, and Charlotte Leech has been the ideal person to learn from.
She’s patient, clear, and takes everything step by step. There’s a lot to pick up in boxing, but she never makes me feel like I’m getting it wrong or out of my depth. Thanks to her coaching, boxing has already boosted my cardio fitness and noticeably improved my upper-body strength, which has carried over into the rest of my training.
The gym itself is well equipped, clean, and easy to train in. I don’t attend classes and mainly stick to the gym floor, and I’ve always been made to feel welcome, comfortable, and well-supported.
Working with Charlotte has added something genuinely enjoyable to my routine and given me new confidence in a completely new skill. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for an encouraging, knowledgeable PT, and énergie Fitness Hyde is a great place to train.

I’ve been coming to the gym for around 2-3 months now. All the staff are so kind and welcoming however in particular, Andy who always takes the time out to talk to me and ask how i am. Sydney’s Boxing Classes Are Top-Notch
I joined the gym about a month ago and have done a couple of boxing sessions with Sydney. She’s is really good, knowledgeable and makes the class really enjoyable. I’ve loved the sessions and definitely plan to keep going. Highly recommend Energy Fitness Hyde and Sydney as a PT!
