False job adverts

False job adverts, seems fake, spam

Shailaja,

Every one of our jobs comes in on a partner feed, or is posted directly by an employer or recruiter.

There are no false job adverts on-site that we know about. Can you please tell us the URL of the job you were looking at?

Some jobs may expire before we can pull them, but you will be told that it is no longer available if that is the case.

A 'false' advert is a listing for a job that doesn't exist, and is something completely different to hitting a job that has just expired.

I will send a request for your information via Trustpilot.

If you could please direct us to some of the false adverts you say are fake, and spam, then we will look into them and communicate with you directly to assure you that they are not, and help get your application through to the correct employer.

Highly Recommended for Energy Professionals

My company AESG have used Energy Jobline to advertise vacancies and source candidates for giga-projects across the Middle East. Utilising Energy Jobline we successfully sourced international candidates for a variety of highly technical positions across Saudi Arabia. I give this job board by highest recommendation for Energy specific positions.

3 day old job mysteriously has not been found

To echo another review, with some new stuff I added in capitals -- "Their platform first forces the user to upload their CV before being able to apply for the job. Only after the CV is uploaded, AND A LENGTHY FORM FILLED OUT they will redirect you to another site. And the other site has a notification that the requested job has not been found."

Energy Jobline stated the job was "Published" only 3 working days ago. Yet the requested job has already "disappeared" when you are redirected. Suspicious.

Why doesn't LinkedIn remove this firm? My alerts are cluttered with the 'spam' from this company: non-existent jobs; jobs that have expired; duplicates. When I apply it goes through a load of other sites to get my application.
It is rubbish and if LinkedIn wants to maintain its reputation it needs to cancel this junk.

False positions advertised...

I found a position on LinkedIn that was advertised by Energy Jobline. Their platform first forces the user to upload their CV before being able to apply for the job. Only after the CV is uploaded, they will redirect you to another site. And the other site has a notification that the requested job has not been found.

Hi Zahra,

The job you wanted to view seems to have expired on our partner site.

We run jobs from partners and clients, and many send feeds or ask us to scrape their career pages.

Unfortunately this is not a 'real-time' process and there are times when a job can be pulled, or expire, and it will not update on our site until later that day, or at the absolute maximum 24 hours later (on one of our partner feeds). This is a limitation set on us by the feed holder.

Please try searching on our site for another relevant role.

We are having discussions internally about how best to address the issue of expired jobs.

Regards

Anthony

A very positive experience

I had a very positive experience with Josh and Suzanna at Energy Jobline. They worked tireless, including out of hours to get me interviews and the job offer. The position was in Africa and required visas as well as relocation for my family. Ultimately, due to an unforeseen change in personal circumstance, I had to turn down the position but I remain in contact with Josh for any future roles that better suit my revised personal requirements.

Scam. Need to pay before applying for a job

Dear Energyjobonline,
Trustpilot have already rejected your claim of making defamatory comments. You have now (through Trustpilot) asked me to provide my personal details otherwise my reviews will be deleted. I can see you are trying your best to get my review removed from Trustpilot. What's the need for asking my full name and contact number?
I used your website which allows other companies to use it as a platform to advertise their jobs. Therefore you are equally responsible for what is being posted on your website. My review is based on my experience and is genuine. 73%of people have posted negative reviews about your site which explains everything.

This company requested Trustpilot to remove my review claiming it had defamatory content!!!! But truth wins..Trustpilot have rejected their claim. This company need to be honest and professional. I do support feedback from other reviewers and this company should be removed from LinkedIn.

I am getting emails with job alerts but when you click on job it redirects you to job leads website and will ask you for registration and payment. You will never be able to apply without making payment. It explains very well why 73% reviews are negative.

UPDATED REPLY:

Mehul, we tagged this review as defamatory as you said that 'you will never be able to apply without making a payment'.

This is completely untrue. We do not take payments AT ALL for applications for jobs. Therefore your review is defamatory and makes users think that we do as part of our process. Our site is COMPLETELY FREE for all jobseekers to use.

We run content from partner sites, mixed in with our own. The job you mention came from one of our partners in their feeds and (on the back of your review) we asked them to block ALL content in their feed they send us from this company (Job Leads) which they have now done. You will not find a Job Leads job on Energy Jobline again.

Job Leads is just one company out of literally tens of thousands that we had onsite. Job Leads is the only one we have identified as asking jobseekers for any kind of payment. Via your review, and a couple of emails we received from other jobseekers.

Once you leave the Energy Jobline site we have no control whatsoever over the content you engage with.

Please do not pay anyone for registration unless you are satisfied with their offer / service. Your issue here is with Job Leads. They are asking you for a payment, not Energy Jobline.

Our aim is to present as many global energy and engineering job opportunities to jobseekers as possible. This means working with multiple partners, as well as our own clients (recruiters and employers).

Mehul,

We have looked into this and Job Leads is a jobsite which was distributing jobs through one of our partner feeds.

We have asked the partner in question to block ALL content from Job Leads in their feeds with immediate effect.

Please do not pay anyone for registration unless you are satisfied with their offer.

Energy Jobline is a FREE to use site for jobseekers, and we do not ask for any payment at all to register or apply for any jobs we run.

I know Josh Young from a professional angle and how committed he and his team are leading Energy Jobline to being the number 1 energy focused job board. Energy Jobline has recently and in the past always delivered positive outcomes for me and other professional expats. When working with potential candidates to match the requirements of the clients, Energy Jobline have always kept me informed of great opportunities in the energy market.
