Works but at a huge expense
I’m just finishing week 2 of using the gels, moving onto the final week tube. Whilst my teeth are noticeably whiter the process has caused unbearable sensitivity pain. You are provided with a ‘desensitising pen’ that does nothing and I am now limping through the process relying on painkillers to get through it. My dentist advised me to use the toothpaste for one hour in the trays and also alternate top and bottom each night - I have done both to no relief. The whitening works but only if you can deal with extreme sensitivity. I sure hope this goes away after the process… I probably wouldn’t have bothered considering both the financial cost and pain

While some sensitivity is expected during the whitening process, it shouldn’t be overwhelming. You’ve done the right thing by using the toothpaste in your trays and alternating applications.
For added relief, many of our patients find that applying the desensitising serum for a little longer directly to the sensitive areas can make a difference. If the sensitivity continues, a discussion with your dentist may the best solution as they could consider switching your treatment to the lower concentration gel only.

Used their whitening and sensitive toothpastes and both were amazing!!! The whitening really helped keep my teeth looking white and gleaming and the sensitive protected my teeth and made sure I could eat everything with no problems!

Excellent results and great customer service
I've been using Enlighten products for a number of years now, and have achieved excellent results. I have used the teeth whitening system, and both the enamel building and whitening toothpaste to maintain the colour with the occasional top up. Their customer service team is great, and I would recommend them to anyone!

Wish I could give 0 stars. 3 months ago I started this course after paying £549 at the dentist. Advised it was better than the cheaper option as it ‘guarantees’ whitest shade and minimises sensitivity. My teeth have never been so sensitive having had shooting pains the whole 3 weeks, followed by absolutely no colour change, if anything they look worse (would provide photos if I could). I was advised to do another 2 weeks during the day time. I did this, still sensitive and still no change to the colour.
I’ve been back to the dentist and photos have been sent to enlighten to see what can be done next. It’s been over 3 weeks and I’ve heard nothing. I have now emailed the dentist to complain and requested a refund. I’ve done teeth whitening in the past and this is by far the worst, yet the most expensive. Very disappointed.

We want to reassure you that your results were carefully reviewed by both us and the dentist, and the photos taken by your dentist confirm that you have, in fact, achieved the B1 shade—our guaranteed result. Your teeth appear visibly whiter than before you started treatment, even a shade or two whiter than B1 in places. We’re unsure why you feel there has been no change, especially that your teeth look worse than before as in our view, the treatment was certainly successful. But we’d be happy to go over the results with you in detail should you wish to. If you were hoping for your teeth to go further than B1, other options may have to be considered such as composite bonding, or veneers.
Regarding sensitivity, while most users find our treatment to be gentle, individual experiences can vary. In your particular case, we know that there was a clinical reason which your dentist already discussed with you. However, we are truly sorry that you experienced this discomfort as we understand this can be frustrating.
Furthermore, we know that your dentist has already been in touch and has offered you a refund despite the treatment being classed as successful so we hope that this resolution was satisfactory to you.

As suggested by my dentist, I had the three week Enlighten treatment fo try and have my original bottom teeth to match my new whiter top bridge. It only managed to get my teeth a slightly shade of off white unfortunately. Even following a further six weeks of three times a day brushing with the Enlighten white toothpaste, there is still no great difference.

However, it’s important to note that natural teeth, even when whitened, will never achieve the exact shade and uniformity of restorations—unless those restorations were specifically designed with natural variations in mind. This is why we refer to B1 as the whitest natural shade to help set realistic expectations.
Looking into your case, we noticed that the impressions provided by your dentist were what we call ‘borderline impressions.’ While we requested new impressions for the best possible fit, your dentist opted to proceed with the original ones. This may have impacted the fit of your trays and, consequently, your whitening results.
Additionally, given your age group, whitening naturally takes longer, and your treatment should have ideally been a 5-week course rather than the standard 3 weeks. We know that patients over 60 years old need a longer course to whiten to a successful B1.
That being said, we’d be more than happy to discuss your case further with you and your dentist to see if any additional whitening could be achieved. However, to match the bottom teeth perfectly to your bridge, restorations may be the only option. I paid £690 for teeth whitening, teeth are not any Whiter, sensitivity from this product is unbearable
I paid £690 for teeth whitening and the results are beyond unsatisfactory and disappointing to say the least.
Not only are my teeth practically the same colour as they were prior to the ‘whitening’ but the whole experience was excruciatingly uncomfortable.
The amount of sensitivity I experienced during the process was beyond anything I have ever experienced before.
I purchased this plan from Banning Dental Care and they were not that helpful when I went back to complain about the level of sensitivity I was having, they did however recommend I use a sensitivity toothpaste. Considering the amount of money I paid for the treatment I would have expected a lot more by way of aftercare.
I complained about the sensitivity I was experiencing but it was not taken seriously.
For the amount of money it costs to purchase the Enlighten treatment the results should have been second to none as that is what was promised, yet after battling through the process my teeth are nowhere near White and are certainly not the guaranteed B1 shade that was promised and that is boasted about by Enlighten.
I am so upset with the results and the pain and sensitivity I experienced during the whitening process, it was definitely not worth the time or money.
I would never make the mistake of spending money on anything associated with Enlighten again and they really need to do something to improve their product so it actually produces the results it is supposed to minus the high price tag and excruciating sensitivity.

We would like to start by saying that extreme sensitivity is very rare, though we completely understand how this can be upsetting.
Could you confirm that you received the full Evo4 Complete system, including 3 whitening syringes, one Enlighten Serum toothpaste, one Enlighten White toothpaste, a desensitising Comfort pen, and custom-made trays?
Extreme sensitivity can happen due to many reasons, but most often is a sign of enamel issues or bruxism (ie exposed dentine, thin overall enamel or ever grinding and/or clenching). Sometimes these can be difficult to spot straight away, but usually dentists can pick up on them at the time of the examination and recommend a suitable regime. Has your dentist mentioned anything during the examination process?
There are usually thing we can explore when patients experience such sensitivity:
* A more intensive desensitising regime
* Switching to a lower concentration gel for a longer period
* As a last resort, whitening every other night (less ideal but still effective)
Enlighten is designed to provide predictable and effective whitening results, including the guaranteed B1 shade when the treatment protocol is followed correctly. High sensitivity can understandably influence compliance which therefore affects results. Other factors such as individual enamel composition and aftercare can also influence the outcome. Worth the investment
I whitened my teeth with Enlighten for the first time about 6 years ago and since then I only top 2-3 times per year. My teeth look great and I always get compliments on their shade. They don’t look crazy white but just a natural, healthy shade. I would definitely recommend!

I really loved this product! The results were absolutely brilliant. I grind my teeth at night and because of that my dentist recommended a longer course of treatment to achieve the best results. I was a bit worried it might take too long or not work as well because of my condition, but it was definitely worth it in the end. The difference is amazing—I get so many compliments on my teeth now, and I feel much more confident when I smile. By far the best whitening product I’ve used.
With Enlighten I had best results, I have attempted to try different whitening brands but had some much sensitivity that si wasn’t able to use them more than a fee days!
Enlighten comes with a tooth paste that preps you for the whitening and a sensitivity pen which you can use during the treatment! This makes a whole lot of difference.
Even though is slightly more pricey than other brands, the results speak from themselves!
Highly recommend it!

Gentle & Effective
I've been using Enlighten Smiles for about a month now, and I'm really happy with the results. My teeth weren't drastically yellow to begin with, but they had definitely lost some brightness over time. This paste has noticeably brightened them without making them sensitive, which is a big plus for me.
On the plus side, I like the taste and it doesn't irritate my gums like some whitening pastes do.
I'd recommend giving it a try if you're looking for a gentle but effective whitening.
