Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 80 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Customers frequently found the online system to be a painful and frustrating experience, often describing it as poorly designed. Many people were dissatisfied with the service, citing unhelpful staff and slow response times. Reviewers also felt misled by pricing, as the initial cost often increased significantly with additional fees for faster service or course reactivation, leading to a perception of a cash grab. However, some customers also noted significant issues with the assessment process itself, describing questions as vague or picky, often requiring specific answers not readily available, and leading to repeated re-submissions. Many experienced technical difficulties with the website, including videos freezing and submissions timing out, which further prolonged the process. Reviewers frequently reported that the courses consumed excessive time due to slow marking and additional unexpected assessments, making the overall experience frustrating.

Express Online Training Scam

They make the course so easy to fail so they can take your money without hesitation. I paid $266 for course that was not properly taught and the teacher didn’t help out in any way, therefore it was so easy for them to fail you and take your money. Definitely steer clear for EOT White Card Qld courses and probably any other course they claim to give.

They are NOT a Registered Training…

They are NOT a Registered Training organisation. Their registration expired in Jan 2025. They DONT do Express service like they advertise. They ask for more money for their Express service. Even though they say "Pay when you complete" They dont let you complete until its paid and there is no physical company address. Just a P.O Box. They have already been taken to court by the ACCC in 2023 for their business practices. Also if they're not currently registered they can't give legitimate qualifications

DO NOT DO YOUR NSW RSA WITH EOT.

DO NOT DO YOUR NSW RSA WITH EOT.
It seems like a quick easy process but it is not.
You are better off doing it in person same day with another company or with someone else who is same day without asking for more money to mark it. They take minimum 3 days to mark it. There’s 4/5 question sections and you have to complete each one and submit before the next one loads and wait for the one before to be approved. Then once the first 4 sections are done you have to wait for business hours to get approved to do the assessment. Then you have to wait for that to get approved then you video assessment becomes live with 5 sections with some up to 3 videos submissions each. Some of the questions are quite vague but they have a very specific answer they expect back that isn’t clearly identifiable. As someone renewing the qualifications and English as my first language and Australian and Sydney born and raised and worked in over 100 venues in Sydney and another 50 across Australia, the answers they expect are not realistic to working in venues at all. Expecting to basically take customers home yourself and send the night babysitting them especially when the customer is not alcohol intoxicated is a joke, they are assuming in your role you have no other responsibilities, that there are no other customer or staff issues, and that there are no other customers waiting for service and that you are in a high traffic area where you you can get someone a bus or train or taxi because apparently Uber is not acceptable way to get home, and won’t take long, and you can’t ask security for assistance to resume your actual job. And that customers have no personal accountability and no cognitive function to get themselves home. The company is very clearly trying to push for people to pay for priority service. They are also petty and unrealistic with their marking and seems like they have no real venue experience. And from a legal stand point of view they expect the venue to put their staff at further risk with interactions with customers by babysitting one customer who wants to leave to neglect the rest of the venue and probably irritate and escalate the matter with the customer by babysitting a customer who is happy to leave and get them home. They also supply an id of channing Tatum with a birthday of 6years old with a drivers license and ask you to reject a 6yo with a drivers license which is obviously extremely far fetched.

The whole thing is clearly designed to irritate people into upgrading and paying minimum $60 express for quicker marking and even more for same day. Complete scam and shouldn’t be allowed to be a provider with this time frame. It’s false advertising as it shows the course flow to seem like you will get your interim certificate right away. Which is very untrue. Regret doing the course through them.

It shouldn’t take 3 business days for them to open and mark your responses and give you interim certification and then further delay it by nitpicking your actually legal response.

If you submit Sunday don’t expect to get your certificate till at least Thursday. So minimum 4-5 days. That is excessive.

Glitchy system, WOEFUL "trainer"

Glitches all throughout the recorded system, wrote two line script verbatim from their own notes, and system still would not accept it. Spent over sn hour and half on one question writing the most basic of answers, still to be told I didn't have two of the essential criteria. Sent a ticket through and a "trainer" called me only to try and belittle. She would not even listen to what I was trying to explain that I wrote a two sentance answer offering the answer, but the system said it was wrong. Only to finally pass, and as she was hanging up from me said some "colourful things" about me to which I replied "still on the line and can hear everything you are saying. Revolting behaviour from.a company I was paying for a service.

Glitchy video assessments. Tried to correct times. Read verbatim from the notes. Really frustrating process after spending so much time on the course to hit a road block. Even through I've paid for rapid 20min assessment it now saying I will have to wait 1 b day.

Terrible user experience. Need to upload multiple videos that freeze half way. Silly questions and slow marking force you to pay for express. After two wrong answers on express your account gets flagged and frozen for 24 hours.

I attempted to complete a White Card…

I attempted to complete a White Card course with EOT. The course notes were irrelevant to half of the assessment questions, and there was no way to get support from a trainer. The submission process was constantly timing out or having technical difficulties. What should have taken me a few days to complete turned into weeks of back and forth jumping through nonsense hoops trying to work out exactly what they wanted from my answers, as evidently the "examples" you could include were only the exact ones they chose. After searching the entire internet for their contact number, I called it, only to have it tell me that the number is disconnected or not in use.
As a teacher with 16 years experience, I have never completed an online course with a worse assessment process! Never again!!

Slow reviews for assessments (even…

Slow reviews for assessments (even simple interview ones). Assessors are passive aggressive and tasks are especially frustrating for many students (White card final assessment - you can find plenty of student outrage online)

Poor customer engagement and service, and refuse to present you with a refund If you do not pass.

I recommend staying far away from this 'Registered RTO'... They are laughably horrible.

Not worth your time or money

Do not waste your time. The course for construction white card is ridiculous they have you making role play videos and jumping through all different hoops to get the course completed. I'm on my third day of trying to complete all the role play videos it wants, to assess you there are more than 20 streams to complete if anything is wrong you'll be there for days. The website is misleading it advertised the couse for $55, which is not the case unless you are doing the course for fun and don't require a certificate or wallet card, if you would like a card or certificate you have to pay extra, ends up being over $70, then there's the constant badgering about paying extra for express VIP assessments for $60 for 24 hrs access. Is speedy service not just good customer service another dodgy buisness allowed to make theirown rules. I'm
just going to forfeit the money I paid this is ridiculous the owners and everyone involved should be ashamed of this.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience, PLEASE AVOID IT. They offer getting the certificate in one day, but is completely false: They ask you to read several documents and do a test (around 50 questions, no short at all). Then, they ask you to pay, and leave a review, so you think you are done. You are not. Just then, they ask you to complete the other half of the course and they take several days to review it and give you feedback in case you need to resubmit. They offer you to pay extra to get you the certificate faster. It's been a week since I started it and still can't get it completed. Please just go and do it with a School, they give you the answers and is much faster and easier.

This is the worst of the worst.

This is the worst of the worst.
If you are preparing to take an online course in Queensland, do not do it here.
The rebooking fee is $250, but from the very beginning of the class they keep pushing you to rebook.
If you are not ready at the start, they tell you to rebook immediately.

I was discriminated against because I do not fully understand English.
On the day of the class, I had my passport ready.
However, they pressured me by taking me into a separate room.

Even though I said I was prepared, they ignored me.

Please take your White Card offline in Brisbane instead.
This place scams people. Be careful.

The service is absolutely terrible.

Slow, feels like a money grab

I enrolled with Express Online Training (EOT) expecting a smooth process, but the experience has been frustrating. Assessment marking is extremely slow — it can take days before you hear back. If you email to ask about progress, they often offer to “speed it up” for an extra $50–$60. This feels intentional, as if the slow service is designed to push people toward paying more.

For a registered training organisation, this is disappointing. The process should be transparent and fair, without hidden upsells or pressure tactics. I wouldn’t recommend them unless you’re ready to pay extra just to get reasonable turnaround times.

Don’t make the same mistakes…

Don’t make the same mistakes others have. Yes you’ll get an induction card after a lengthy process. Most taking weeks. It is not $55, it’s over $150 which you’ll only find out after completing the initial testing phase and making your payment for the induction which is promised to take 3 days. (It doesn’t)
Go in person to legitimate trainers. Takes an afternoon. This is an official RTO but they operate like scam artists and that’s the worst part. No refunds under any circumstances.
Even my employer I start with in 3 days said the same thing.. I had to pay for another induction course and was done within 4 hours in and out. (which was still cheaper than fully completing EOT’s scammy assessment)

dont go here

The website is poorly designed, confusing, and generally unhelpful. Instructions are unclear and often feel like trick questions. Over-assessing is done for no logical reason for example, in hazard identification you might have 4–5 valid answers, but they will only accept the exact 2 they decided on. Even if you identify other correct hazards, you fail the question. This is especially frustrating because every following question builds on those initial answers, meaning you often have to redo large parts of the skills assessment for no reason.

The platform itself is unclear and unintuitive. You’re given all the answers in your skills assessment, but if you copy them exactly, you fail. If you reword them, it’s still often marked wrong because it’s “not exactly” what’s in the learning guide even if it’s correct.

they say they are the cheapest but they make your life so misrable that you buy the extra priority service

On top of that, response times for marking or feedback are too slow, dragging out the process unnecessarily. Overall, feels more like a cash grab than an actual learning platform.

Dishonest business method with hidden cost. They nitpick your test results so every time you have to redo the test and wait another 3 days till you get it back. Until you get fed up and pay the 55 dollars to them so they mark your test quickly so you can go work.
