Equifax is a joke

Equifax is a joke! Half the time they don’t have your correct information and tank your score for no reason.
Banks even tell you now that their score isn’t reliable.
So disappointing.

A total waste of time and unprofessional

I have been dealing with Equifax and ClearScore since moving to my new address last October 2024. I have sent them numerous messages both of them regarding this. However, despite that as of today Monday, February 24, 2025 they have still not updated my credit report to reflect this. I have sent them letters from the council quite clearly stating that I am on the Electoral Register and they will still not update it. Totally and utterly incompetent and very unprofessional. A total waste of time.

Cannot trust Equifax credit report

There was no option to raise a request. I closed many of my loans 3 years before, and still it is not reflecting here. I trust CIBIL; there were a lot of options for individual users. My CIBIL score is 722, and Equifax here is showing 312, simply providing poor credit reports. Your company doesn't deserve 1 star either.

Equifax's customer service is terrible

Equifax's customer service is terrible, they make you wait for almost an hour and when they put you through to a representative they hang up the call and don't return it. You don't know if they really sent you to an advisor or if they are giving you very bad information. This agency has terrible customer services.

Misleading subscription charges

I signed up for a $1/month subscription. When I log into my account, I get a screen that shows my current product is a $1/month subscription. Today, I saw where Equifax has been charging me $19.95 per month for the subscription, even though the screen states clearly when I log in that it's $1/month. I called and was told that I "should have known" that the cost was not $1 and they would not refund the four months of unauthorized charges. I offered to send them my confirmation email and a screen capture of where my account shows $1/month as the price of my subscription, and they said that was not needed but also refused to refund the money. I had to request an escalation, explain everything again, and then the supervisor has now had to escalate it over to the billing department. I have a case number and they are "working on it," but I have not been issued a refund despite having a digital trail and proof that they are charging my card without my authorization or knowledge. I have spent almost two hours trying to correct charges that should never have been made. The entire practice is deceptive.

Credit Report API for Software…

Credit Report API for Software Developers

CRS Credit API
software-developers

CRS Reporting IS THE WORST CREDIT API PROVIDER ON THE INTERNET THEY HAVE NO SUPPORT WORST EQUIFAX RESELLER ON THE ENTIRE INTERNET

Credit Reporting Services Credit API provides a powerful and quick and easy way for software developers to connect to the credit report and verification ...

CRS is the single platform for credit, fraud, and compliance, with a unified credit data API to power data-driven financial decisions.

You look at a company like CRS is looks amazing people run from Array to CRS thinking they will have support (866) 344-9443 no one ever picks up.

THEN THEY WILL THREATEN TO KICK YOU OUT EVEN IF YOU BUILD CUSTOMERS OR PAID THEM BE CAREFUL

With Array Martin Toha | CEO & Founder | Array. Another BS company offering credit api overcharging people a min of $2000, CRS seems like a great contender but there lack of support at this rudeness of there rep like Jay making threats towards people accounts is a joke. Also with Array I would say some of the biggest weak points are idiots like Skylar that does onboarding and the other agents like Greg Johnson which are the biggest crooks online.

If you need a CREDIT API Please Go Direct to Equifax or Experian or Transunion, company’s like ARRAY, and CRS Stele so much money from people the entire staff including all CEO have there heads up there asses.

Long Story Short STAY AWAY FROM CRS CREDIT API AND ARRAY CREDIT API

THEY WILL WASE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND ARE A BUNCH OF UNETHICAL PEOPLE I WORKED VERY HARD WITH BOTH COMPANY AND BLEED LITERALLY UNTIL I ACCOMPLISHED IT A ND THEY BOTH THROUGH ME OUT AND OFFERED NO SUPPORT

With CRS You cant ever reach any of there people, THEY THINK BECAUSE THEY MAKE MONEY THEY CAN TREAT PEOPLE LIKE SHET SAME WITH ARRAY BOTH THESE RESELLERS ARE HORRIBLE AND GOT TO GO

Equifax is the worst credit reporting…

Equifax is the worst credit reporting agency around. Their breached caused my information to be out there. Since their breach I have experienced so much identity theft. When I try to remedy the issues with their company, it takes forever and none of the workers have any accountability. It just goes to a call center in the Phillipines.

They promised a dedicated person to repair the credit. It is impossible to find this service. You try: www equifaxbreachsettlement

Good luck. On top of that when a dispute is entered it takes 30 days for an "investigation." I promise you they verify nothing or the verification is incompetent. They're coming back saying fraud is accurate reporting. These guys consistently violate my rights by posting detrimental information to my credit preventing me from obtaining housing. What's the penalty for them? How is this company allowed to report our credit? The create a problem and want to charge us for a "solution?"

An unreliable company

This is the worst company for recording credit score. They punish you for everything from enquiring about utilities to loans or part payments plan. There response to down grades customers by huge margins. I have experienced down grades of 80 points twice now and I know of people who have had higher amounts. They get away with doing this because no one is checking on them or regulating them. Beware of this company and the power they have

Use Equifax?? No. There are so many better options.

Ive have used Equifax for years, against my better judgement. Older execs said "they are great". Right. Got it. This is what I am forced to endure daily:
1. poor service - their reports are junk
2. poor employees - most have no idea what to do
3. poor prices - they added $300 as a "fee" for nothing.
4. poor communication - they send an email that DEMANDS you answer them at once. But, no one answers your email.
5. poor follow up - see # 4
6. poor service details - they dont say what they do
7. errors are not corrected - they billed an extra $312. When I questioned it and the info. they gave, they said I was wrong. No proof, no nothing. Bill is due. Even though their "facts" contradicted reality.

Equifax is the WORST credit agency. Once these old goats retire, I am tossing this shtpile loser at once.

Cannot understand English or comprehend my problem.

I called and asked to speak to a manger because they simply refuse to update my account. I sent certified mail of proof of my identity and they still block my account. They say they need the documents again and again, but they never update any information. I cannot get a home loan unless they can be verified. The manager kept reading computer prompts over and over instead of addressing my concerns. Wish I could file a lawsuit.

Crooks

If, I could give zero stars I would. For such a popular credit report company, you guys are crooks. I cancelled with them back in July, 2024. Since then, they have managed to go into my account and take payment in August, September, October, and November. I filed a dispute, and that takes up to 10-30 days, just for them to look at the dispute. So, now I will have to cancel my credit card. I should not have to go through all of this. BEWARE!

When it comes to something as important…

When it comes to something as important as a credit report, consumers should have every option possible to fix inaccuracies as easily as a creditor can affect it. It seems as though creditors have more rights over our credit profile than we do. It's unfair that a consumer can't easily dispute inaccurate or unauthorized items. When it comes to hard inquiries from rate shopping, if there are several inquiries in a certain time frame, it would be good to see those inquires categorized together so it's easier to tell they are considered as one inquiry. So, we know it's only affecting our score once. The way a consumer sees these, when reviewing a credit report, it appears as multiple inquiries, therefore they might be adversely affecting a credit score individually for each one. From personal experience it's very difficult to contact a "request to delete" from these creditors because many creditors don't keep a record of the credit pull. To dispute a Hard Inquiry, it is required to obtain a request to delete from the creditor to move forward with the dispute. Even though rate shopping inquiries has a small effect, those few points literally make a difference to creditors. They have a bottom line for a minimum score to be considered for any credit applications. Please consider making the dispute process easier as well as categorizing rate shopping inquiries together so it's known that those are affecting a credit score as one

Waste of time

Equifax have constantly screwed me over on my report, had me at addresses amd linked to bank accounts and credit that wernt mine but of a person with the same name, when given evidence of the same name but different dates of birth and middle names, it took about 2 years to correct it, ontop of this, i used a credit card to pay a court to take action for me and they dropped my score by 57 points citing credit card cash withdrawel, i have never withdrew cash from a card in my life and the bank has informed them of this yet they wont ammend my score, it takes your years to gain 5 or 10 points for no missed payments yet the slightest issue and they hammer you. Recent example, my score dropped 97 points this week because paypal said i was late on payment for a loan, when shown my account in their app had completely different information i.e different due date, due amount and minimum payment due they complained equifax instead of fixing the issue despite me settling the £1012 im full rather than pay the minimum £54. Complained to equifax and they have done nothing. Beyond a joke, you cant have debt without having debt but debt negatively impacts your score and overpaying or settling early negatively impacts your score, having no debt negatively impacts your score, searching for loans or mortgages negatively impacts your score, doing everthing they say to do negatively impacts your score. The worst part is the very little gains for hard work keeping it correct i.e 5-10 points per 24 months compared to the sharp 50-100 point drops for a mistake they make or because a company like paypal f@ck it up and complain despite being proven its their mistake. Just another way for the elites to keep you down. I earn £100k a year but the way these companies score you, you would think i was on the dole.

If could give zero stars I would

If could give zero stars I would!

This credit report company is a total joke! I recently had issued with a mortgage application and found out the bank in question - Natwest- uses Equifax. I got an account just to see what was on it and it is all wrong! It has me not registered on an electoral register and I have been registered in Scotland where I live since December 2021!!! In addition, they have a credit card which I haven't had for 3 years!! The addresses attached to all the credit cards is an address I haven't lived at for almost 4 years. The information is entirely incorrect and it has caused an issue for me with a mortgage application. Needless to say I won't be using Natwest as my bank going forward. The fact they would use such a RUBBISH company is beyond belief. The irony of it as that I also have two credit cards with Natwest and they can clearly see my address is the one on their statements. To add insult to injury even after I have provided Equifax with a letter confirming my electoral registration and screen shots of my statements showing my correct address - they expect me to wait up to 8 weeks for them to fix it and address my complaint. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I will certainly ensure any bank who uses equifax I will NOT be applying with or giving my money to. Experian is superior in every way. Totally ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's one big profit making Con

I never used the service for weeks after I had to set it up and didnt want the subscription, but they said tough you should of cancelled it. They get your payment details, then rely on you not cancelling it before the trial ends and then they profit on your misfortune. It's all a big con so they can make money and it shouldn't be allowed!
