Europe assistance Phone No's provided on their Trip Cancellation Insurance associated with an Opodo Booking were incorrect. It is impossible to obtain phone No's for them and even the ones provided by Opodo were wrong. Their phone numbers available and impossible to find any email for them.

This insurance company was massive fraudulent what i thought. its not even picking up my policy no online, i bought ticket through momondo then it takes me to Opodo ( Rubbish proven website already no contact no answers no email ) along with cancelation policy for this EUROP assistance, end result more than 07 months no answer no money. I loose £487 , pls pls pls pls pls be aware these kind of fraudsters when you booking specially this pandemic time

I bought an insurance with this company in connection with my RyanAir flight. On the return trip my suitcase got damaged - there was a huge hole in it. When I filed a claim (because it should cover) the company kept stalling me by sending the same message to me three times with a week or so in between. After a month they simply denied my claim for no reason.
I can't believe RyanAir will cooperate with this company, it seems fraudulent. I wish I read the trustpilot rating before buying insurance with them.

I bought this insurance when I bought a flight with Ryanair to go home for Christmas in 2020, and thought it would be prudent to buy insurance to go with it, as these are uncertain times and the ongoing pandemic could easily make it so I couldn't fly after all. This was however a big mistake, as this company will add all kinds of restrictions to their terms of conditions, making it so unless you are in very, VERY specific circumstances, you won't get your money back.

Unless you, or someone from your family dies, or your house gets robbed, or you're called for jury duty... Only under these and a few other highly unlikely circumstances will you get your money back. And do they send you the terms and conditions for you to review before you buy the insurance? Absolutely not. You buy the insurance, and THEN you get to read what it actually covers.

Absolute scam.

Never ever again. These gangsters are not professional, they are criminals that are looking for our Money. they will never give you back the Money otherwise they are forced to by law. Horrible, terrifying. I got badly sick with Covid 19, gave them 4 diffrent doctor documantation from different doctors, they stil refus…
The travel agancy, Travel link that sold it was criminal as well.

SCAM. My Ryanair flights were cancelled. I got a refund for the flight tickets but not the travel insurance I purchased with the flight tickets. I was informed to make a claim through Europ Assistance directly. Europ assistance closed my claim informing I have to claim refund from Ryanair directly. I contacted Ryanair and they informed me I have to claim refund from Europ Assistance. And so they keep sending me off one to the other and none of them take responsibility.
On top of that there are literally no means of contacting Europ Assistance except from the claim form that they closed for me. Their website is so terrible and unprofessional, contains so many mistakes and no contact details.
I don't understand how they can still exist and how this can be legal but most of all how can a company such as Ryanair which is so big and well known offer that insurance.
I wish I read the reviews before but now I am happy my flights were cancelled as if something happened to me during that travel I would never receive anything from this insurance provider. They can't even refund money for something that can't be used when the claim was made 3 weeks before the scheduled flight.

This is the worst insurance company ever. What is the point of having travel insurance in tjis days if they dont cover pandemi???
Avoid they are partying with Ryanair and make you feel that your flights are safe if you buy that insurance plus policy - dont waist your money highly avoid

After spending over €25 on their insurance, which I bought specifically because of the pandemic and the uncertainties associated with it, they rejected my claim for €79, because their policy excludes 'epidemics / pandemics' situations?! What?! On top of that, they took from 30 Dec until 8th January to respond to my claim, after I went out of my way to collect evidence for them, by which point I had missed my return flight and could not even consider using it by changing the date, etc.

Dont buy any insurance from them, they are cheating and always try to find any reasons to avoid paying.

The employees have no respect, bad reception och incompetent employees specially the one called Johannes and andra others.

If I could give 0 star I would definitely rate this company with 00000.
Don’t buy any travel insurance with them. They don’t refund you any money. They will require millions paperwork to provide and then they will ignore your case with no response of refund the claim.
My trip has been cancelled by the airlines and I was also in close contact with the person with covid positive so I decided to not attend to the flight for others safety and the insurance doesn’t accept it?

Firstly, no where in my policy does it state that COVID 19 is not covered.
I filed a claim for a COVID test, was not reimbursed because they stated “pandemics are not included”. Which if I would have known I wouldn’t have purchased.
Secondly, they only cover for 4 months maximum. I purchased one year of coverage for the duration of my trip. When I called to see a doctor - they told me I am only covered for trips of 4 months. In order for me to be covered I have to go back to Canada and then come back again every 4 months????
So why does it say I’m covered for one year continuously?

Europassistance/Opodo and Edreams are one and the same.
They are all SCAMMERS.
Had valid insurance with Opodo who passed me on to Europassistance to claim a refund.
Opodo new full well that my claim would be denied.
I was told by Europassistance that I was covered for “trip cancellation” but denied my claim for “trip cancellation”
Work that one out.
All 3 have a policy to deny all types of refunds, especially ones that are covered by insurance.
They are all a bunch of SCAMMERS.

The have proved that it is pointless to get an insurance for traveling since their insurance rules can only be read and decoded by themselves in short do not expect any payback if you get in trouble. The only thing you get is some comfort, the kind of comfort that leave you empty and alone when you ned a buddy and support :(

Avoid this company !!!!! Useless !!!!! Very hard to communicate, only email and they respond in few days, but still without answer for Your question. They deliberately do problems with making claims on their website. If you are lucky to make a claim, they do problems with uploading documents and after I was waiting 2 months for nothing. When I asked what is going on with my claim someone responded via email after 3 days that they can do nothing as i need to enclose documents which I did !!! Trying to make idiot from You . Avoid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolute nightmare scam business. The amount of documentation you have to provide to get anything out of them it’s unreal. They should be reported for running the business this way. Don’t waste your time

- Communication with the company is very difficult.
- Their requirements for documentation are expanded and changed along the way.
- They require e.g. medical certificates filled in in their own forms and this is said only after submitting a medical certificate.
- Insurance policies created in connection with ticket booking in RyanAir are not updated in the event of a change in the flight time.
I can not recommend using this insurance company, as it seems that the whole setup is targeted at avoiding paying compensation.

Flights cancelled with Ryanair, took insurance for this very reason and will not refund , answer, nothing. Legalised con merchants, I would love to know if we can report anywhere. This is unacceptable business behaviour
