Asked for the car to be returned 2 hours before the paid end time.
rented a EuropCar in Abu Dhabi through rentalcars.com. Asked rentalcars.com by phone to extend by 12hrs, rentalcars.com contacted the local Abu Dhabi office, which said ok for 45 AED. I agreed to that. After confirming EuropCar Abu Dhabi refused to honor this rate and charges 150 AED... Rentalcars.com couldn't do anything about EuropCar's change of mind, said they can't force EuropCar Abu Dhabi. One would think once a rate is provided it would be valid for a certain amount of time?! What kind of game are we playing here?
Also: at pick up the 1st car had a defect: at slow speed the park assistance beept constantly. The person driving the car from its parking spot to us didn't care to mention that!? Thought we wouldn't notice beeeeeeeeeep... Had to wait and switch to different car. Very unfriendly service.
Will never recommend EuropCar to anyone!
A rate given shouldn't change from 1min to the next! Unacceptable...
