The onboard experience is solid. Staff are friendly, and the catering is decent. While Eurostar falls short of the standards of comfort offered on the German ICE, Swiss IC, or Italian Frecciarossa,... See more

Great experiences across the board!

Easy to book trains, can get very decent prices if you book far in advance or buy a Snap ticket. The stations visited by the trains are major and conveniently located (within city centres). If there are delays/cancellations, emails/messages come in immediately, so you stay informed. Customer service has always been great for me - very personable, kind, and efficient staff who have helped me with rebooking and other issues.

Most of the time, I have no issues - so, Eurostar is very reliable.

Rides are relatively
comfortable - good seating, accessible charging sockets, tray tables and foot rests. No complaints.

They’re my go-to mode of travel when I go between the UK and the Netherlands (where my family is based).

Worth the waiting time for the relief that I got

I was told the wait time for a phone call was one hour. I needed to know that my booking was ok, so I held on. After 1 hour 15 minutes a super kind and efficient guy answered. It was worth holding on. He resolved the main problem, which was assuring me that my booking was made ok, and that Eurostar Snap only give you a booking reference when they confirm your travel within 48 hours of departure. If this was on the website, I wouldnt have needed to ring. Also, in error, I had registered as a Club Eurostar member twice, and the super advisor did not really know how to delete one of them but did point me in the right direction. All in all, I am happy with it. Others may be more impatient.

FORMAL COMPLAINT OF CONSTANT PROBLEMS…

FORMAL COMPLAINT OF CONSTANT PROBLEMS AND DISGUSTING SERVICE FROM EUROSTAR STAFF ON RETURN JOURNEY PARIS TO LONDON.

From when we arrived at the station to when we got off the train Eurostar staff were hideous, rude, arrogant, stuck up.

Problem 1 - there was the wrong time information at the queue at the Eurostar entrance in Gare du Nord. When I tried to check and confirm that I was in the correct line the little sassy, arrogant employee started screaming at us telling us to move without helping at all. So we just had to guess.

Problem 2 - We were at the station 90 minutes ahead of the train departure but were left in the queue for 1 whole hour before being let through to ticket check. Ticket check, passport check, security check tool 25 minutes SO unnecessarily slow and massively inefficient as staff were just stood there chatting and not doing their job to manage the queues. Especially as the queues for later trains were being let through ahead of ours!!! The constant standing in lines left us with less than 5 minutes to board the train, this is disgusting as we were travelling with a young child which is difficult to run from the upstairs area all the way to the train in 5 minutes - why was there no better planning and queue management - we asked 5 different members of staff to help us as we were going to miss our train but none of them cared or helped us - DISGUSTING!!!!!

Problem 3 - at both ends of our journey we had specifically booked table seats due to travelling with a young child we needed to be able to be seated together so we could watch our child and manage his needs, feeding, toilet trips etc. On BOTH journeys the tickets were changed to awful seats with no view which was massively disappointing for our small child - why do you bother letting people pick their seats if you're just going to reassign seats without any consideration or explanation for the travellers needs. These seat changes caused us massive inconvenience and was not helpful.

Problem 4 - disgusting staff attitude, 5 minutes before arriving in London my young child was desperate for the toilet. I rushed to take him to the toilet but the door would not open, I had never used the toilet on the Eurostar before and panicked thinking the toilets were closed. My son was so very desperate I asked the Eurostar employee that was in the refreshment area in carriage 13 to help me. She was a horrifically vile woman that instead of helping me she just started to scream at me, shouting and slamming things because I dared ask her for help on one if the toilets were still usable and two to show me how to open the door. She just kept screaming at me in French and I explained she didn't need to snap at me I was simply trying to take my young son to the toilet before he urinated in his clothes due to desperation. The horrible woman didn't care and stormed off swearing at me - what kind of employees do you give jobs to? This woman has no business working in the service industry.

As you can see from the catalogue of errors it was a combination of many, many problems. As a paying customer I don't expect to be treated with such poor service, disdain, contempt, arrogance, attitude, or rudeness. Your service needs an overhaul. From Paris to London the entire experience was horrific. So much so I will not travel with you again. And i will be sharing my experiences far and wide.
