Took my Megane E-Tech in for a recurring random alarm fault — a known issue with a published Renault technical bulletin and fix. Since it's a documented fault with a documented fix, it should have been covered under my 5-year warranty. Instead I was charged £174 with no explanation of why it wasn't covered.

When I asked for paperwork on what was actually done, I was refused. I was then given incorrect information over the phone about work that had supposedly been carried out on my car, which turned out not to be true.

Being charged for a warranty-eligible known fault, refused documentation, and given false information about the work done is not what I'd expect from a franchised dealer. Avoid this branch.

Hi…I Contacted Evan Halshaw by phone on Monday morning regarding a vehicle I was interested in purchasing. We arrange to have a telephonic meeting at 17:00 that day to go through the paperwork and deposit/ finance arrangements.
I was contacted at 17:00 to inform me that the salesman would contact me in 30 mins as he is just completing a sale with another costumer.
I was contacted at 18:30 ish, to rearrange the appointment of purchasing the vehicle to 13:00 the next day(Tuesday).
Well….Tuesday came and gone…I contacted reception around 17:00 and was assured the salesman would contact me within the next 30 mins.
Needless to say I’m still waiting…so I can only assume the car has been sold.
All I would request, is to be kept informed of what’s happened and not just be ignored.
All it does is that it reflects badly on the Evan Halshaw group, so much so that I would now not even consider any vehicle they have up for sale throughout the UK.

The worst. Once you have the new car that’s it . Customer service in nonexistent.
Especially if it’s a Motability car.
Due to replace my car next year and it definitely will not be a Renault

Shocking after sales

I didn't have to wait long at all to get my vehicle back, the part was ordered one day and got my car back a day and a half later

Picked up car from work and delivered back few hours later. Painless and straightforward.

I recently bought a car from the used car section of this dealership. When I bought it the glove box wouldn’t shut properly, there were scratches as if it had been scraped along a bush or something and an engine light on saying the car was due an oil service.

I was told all of this would all be taken care of by the time I collected the car 5 days later. After an hours drive through to collect the car I realised all they had really done was give it a quick clean and not sorted anything.

The original salesman was on holiday by this point and his colleague apologised and said if I emailed I could have these issues sorted at a Evans Halshaw in Glasgow as it would be closer. After being told this I have emailed, messaged and phoned multiple times and have never had any sort of reply from them.

I thought being a reputable dealership they would actually try and sort these small issues like they said but in true salesman fashion it was just smiles and insincere promises to get a commission.
