Pelican EV Automotive Training is a specialist automotive training provider delivering high-quality, practical training for technicians and engineers working across the cars, van, heavy vehicle, bus and coach sectors. Based at our dedicated training centre in Castleford, West Yorkshire, we deliver Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) qualifications, professional development programmes and industry accreditations and qualifications covering electric and hybrid vehicles, high-voltage systems, vehicle inspection, diagnostics and specialist technical skills. As an Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) Approved Centre, we deliver nationally recognised IMI qualifications, including electric and hybrid vehicle programmes from Level 1 through to Level 4. Our provision covers cars, light vehicles and vans, as well as HGVs, buses and coaches, enabling technicians from across the automotive and transport sectors to develop recognised skills and qualifications. We also deliver irtec accreditations for technicians and workshops, supporting businesses with technician competence, inspection standards and professional recognition. Our training combines classroom learning with extensive hands-on practical activities using electric vehicles, high-voltage components, diagnostic equipment and purpose-built training rigs. This ensures learners develop knowledge and practical skills that can be transferred directly into the workplace. Pelican EV Automotive Training is part of the Pelican Engineering Group, a long-established automotive organisation with more than 100 years of industry experience. This provides our training team with direct access to modern vehicle technology, engineering expertise and real-world industry knowledge. Although our dedicated training centre is based in Castleford, West Yorkshire, we deliver training across the UK. We work with individual technicians, garages, dealerships, fleet operators, vehicle manufacturers, transport operators and other organisations throughout the country. Training can be delivered at our Castleford centre or, where suitable, at customer premises.
