Mr Hoskins

Mr. Hoskins was wonderful, worked tirelessly on his own, explained everything and could not have been more helpful. We were very pleased with the job he did.

I purchased Everest windows…

I purchased Everest windows approximately six years ago with the expectation that I was buying a premium product from a reputable company with a strong reputation for quality.

Recently, a number of the window handles have become faulty, leaving some windows unable to be opened, closed or properly secured. Given that the windows were supplied with a 10-year guarantee, I was surprised and disappointed to encounter these issues.

I contacted the current company trading under the Everest name seeking assistance. I was not expecting a free repair and made it clear that I would even be willing to pay for a service visit if necessary.

Unfortunately, I was informed that the current company did not inherit the previous business’s installation records or service obligations and therefore could not assist. I was subsequently advised that their parts were bespoke and would not fit installations carried out by the previous Everest company.

Based on my experience, I would advise prospective customers to carry out their own research, including checking Companies House records, so that they fully understand the corporate history and ownership structure behind the brand.

I also found it frustrating that the window handles and mechanisms fitted to my windows appear to be specialised, making it much harder to source replacement parts and carry out repairs independently.

I had always regarded Everest as a company known for producing quality products and providing good customer service. However, based on my own experience, I have been left with a very different impression.

This review reflects my own personal experience and disappointment with the support I received.

Registered my interest through the…

Registered my interest through the website. Had a call within 10 mins and booked the appointment. On the day of the appointment, I had a call from the person due to visit saying that he'd had a cancellation and could he come earlier. I said he could. 10 minutes later, I had another phone call from the same guy saying my information had been deleted from his diary and replaced with someone else's information and I'd be contacted by the office with further details. He assumed my appointment would still be going ahead. Called customer services who were really nice over the phone. They said my appointment was still going ahead and that someone would call me back....they obviously just wanted to get me off the phone because nobody ever called. I don't know if they calculated how much work I wanted doing then prioritised a potentially higher priced job or that they're just incompetent, but either way, says a lot about the integrity of a business. Glad I realised before handing any money over

Very irresponsible approach. Did not show up on the prebooked consultation. No communication at all. Disappointed with this unprofessional approach.

However the appointment time passed so called spoke to someone who just picked the phone up saying hello, he confirmed I did have an appointment that day at 4 he would call me back to advise me what was going on well no call back no nothing, so @everest you have lost what would have been a good earner for you!

Bedroom Windows and a Lounge Bay Window

The Fitters Geoff and David from Nottingham did a brilliant job and deserve recognition for their hard work and perseverance with circumstances out of their control due to a manufacturing issue. Even though I have given my review as a 4 star, Geoff and David disserve more.

Everest measurements were wrong

10 days on from delivery, no response to my complaint. Two windows, same size, one made 100m short. Everest survey was incorrect, manufacturing was incorrect. Customer service appalling.

1 Star

1 Star – Repeated No-Shows, No Quotes and No Communication
I waited for a response or an apology but it has now been nearly two weeks since the last missed appointment and nothing-enough time!!
I have now spent several months trying to obtain a quotation from both Anglian and Everest Windows and have experienced some of the worst customer service I have encountered.
In November, an Anglian representative visited my home to discuss replacement windows. I was told someone would follow up with a quotation. No quotation ever arrived. Despite this, I received three separate customer service calls asking for my views on the quotation that had never been sent.
In May, I arranged another appointment with Anglian. The representative failed to attend and nobody contacted me to explain why or apologise.
I then contacted Everest (sister company), who informed me that an apology and a £250 voucher had supposedly been sent. I received neither.
A further appointment was then arranged through Everest (I gave them another chance and told them my previous experience). Once again, nobody attended and nobody contacted me before or afterwards.
I have now experienced:
• A home visit with no quotation ever provided.
• Multiple calls asking for feedback on a quotation that did not exist.
• Two separate missed appointments.
• No communication regarding the missed appointments.
• a promised apology and voucher that never arrived.
- no apology from recent missed appt
• weeks waiting for a response to my formal complaint with no reply from anyone.
What is most disappointing is not simply the missed appointments, but the complete lack of communication, accountability and basic courtesy. I have repeatedly taken time out of my schedule to accommodate appointments, only to be ignored.
After multiple opportunities over several months, neither company has managed to provide a quotation, attend arranged appointments or respond appropriately to complaints.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend either Anglian or Everest.

now the 24th June and still absolute silence! be warned before you take the time.....i gave them multiple opportunities - not even an apology

Now 23rd July and still nothing!!!! Awful company with zero respect for you…..

Waste of time

Wasted 2 days waiting in for them to not even bother turning up or even ringing me to let me know they are not coming. Terrible customer service. Waited for a call back from a manager and they didn’t bother either.

NOBODY SHOWED UP

Booked an appointment for 10 am for door measurement and quote; later asked if I could postpone to 11:00 am - not a problem. On the day of the arranged meeting, no communication; no one showed up, no one replied to my message, and no explanation was given. I wasted my day off from work for nothing...

A very useful and encouraging appointment

JSG arrived promptly for our appointment. He was very smart, well presented and very polite - all very encouraging when you are inviting someone into your home. The dialog was at a pace I felt comfortable with and he responded well to my many interruptions and questions. questions. After our appointment, along with my own online research, I felt that I had all the information I needed at this stage.

Job well done

Got them to fit a new back door.   The salesman made promises about timescales which I didn't believe and which in practice they couldn't achieve - but in fairness only by about a week.  But the rest of the process was very smooth; both the surveyor and the fitter were very professional and the final result is pleasing.

Please Read!!

Please Read!!! Ordered a bay window, very expensive and it was all amazing, service, measurement until they never turned up TWICE. Once due to sickness and then didn’t even get a phone call for the second time, they just didn’t come. When they arrived finally, the window was measured wrong and had to be put it with tons of sealant. That was 4 days ago and everyone we call they can’t tell us when it will be fixed!!

Windows

I needed seven new sash windows for my flat in a 19th century building in a conservation area. I’m a bit ambiguous about my experience. At the end of the day, the windows are beautiful and were good value. Biggest pain was planning which obviously wasn’t Everests fault but I did feel at one point that they were being quite unhelpful simply because I had made the application myself and not paid them £2000 to do it. But there were irritating hiccups all the time. Slow to reply. Not having one person who could have highlighted issues along the way. Shout out to Hayley in customer service who did seem to be trying to help. Pat the Surveyor was very nice and helpful til he stopped responding to queries (maybe he left) and he’d booked a tower to finish the outside of the windows and they couldn’t do it that way for health and safety reasons (again, it took so long, the regulations may have changed in the meantime lol) but biggest gold star to Captain and Marie who just got on with it and came back the next day with a longer ladder - common sense prevailed. There was a real sense though of commission driven sales……which all felt a bit grubby. Next time I would pay them to do all the planning stuff- that would have avoided loads of hassle about the colour of spacer bars etc. Basically, exactly the kind of experience you’d expect from a massive great big corporation with a reputation for hard selling, but the windows are really lovely and at least half the price of what I’d have paid a local carpenter to lovingly hand craft them from locally sourced foraged wood so you get what you pay for. All in all, I’m not absolutely sure any of the problems were everests fault so I’d use them again…..

Absolute sham of a company

Absolute sham of a company! Avoid at all cost.
We had 7 booked in, rearranged, cancelled or no show fitting dates. Trying to get in contact with the local Southampton branch has been a painfully slow and frustrating experience. Often, no answer on the phone or told I would receive a call back, with no such communication in return. It has taken 3 months of backwards and forwards to get 7 windows fitted for the front of our property. The communication from this company, is shocking.
Finally, after 3 months of cancelled or no show appointments, all 7 windows were fitted. However, there was not one window that was finished to a standard of exceptability. No trims, no caulking, just big gaps with the expanding foam all over where the trims should of been. Again, an appointment with the branch manager (Craig) was made, for him to come out himself to rectify the issues.
I waited at the property at the agreed time and again, he did not show up nor contact to say otherwise.
It is no good complaining to head office, as all they do is pass your complaint back to the local branch.
My advice to anyone looking for a swift, seemless, organised fitting with outstanding customer service, look elsewhere. Everest is not recommended by us.
We are still waiting for rectification of our windows that we have fully paid for!

Don’t waste your time. Booked an appointment for somebody to measure and quote for a new door. They never turned up, no phone call, no email. Nothing.
