More and more AI and other shite
More and more AI and other shite that was never asked for or needed.
It used to be great and efficient. Now it is a slew of offerings and suggestions that makes navigating a chore.

I have been a "paid" user of Evernote MANY years!!
I have been a "paid" user of Evernote for many many years ... It is the most important overall tool I use in both my personal and professional life ...
No app or program is perfect, but Evernote offers so many features and benefits that help one be more productive - PERIOD!!
It is overall easy to navigate and understand, PLUS it has amazing uses in every aspect of life ... it is not perfect, and I have at times been disappointed with bugs and issues, but there has been TREMENDOUS improvements as the product continues to evolve ...
For both me and my wife, it is an essential tool in our lives ...
I continue to learn more as I use the program ... I have tried basically all the major productivity tools, and none hit the "sweet spot" as Evernote when considering functionality and operations ... it's simply a wonderful product!!
It offers me more benefits than if I had to employ 4 personal assistances to complete tasks, research, and operations, all of this in one tool ...
I wish Evernote all the best as the company continues to make remarkable improvements in the Evernote ecosystem ... it's a great product for a great price - NOTHING quite like it!!
Been using Evernote since about 2012, thought I would move on...it's better now.
Been using Evernote since about 2012? After years of this being my goto, there was a gradual decline in workability and an increase in price combined with frustration with the tool.
In 24 I was hunting around and testing everything out there. Just trying to be sure I would like the new choice and that I could keep my current notes.
The acquisition happened and I thought I would exit fast while anticipating increased prices.
What actually happened, was that they fixed the issues, added new features and the frustration was gone. My experience is smoother and I now use it for more than just note-taking.
This is RARE - in my opinion, that a company comes along, makes the purchase and improves the experience.
Happy to stick around for years to come.
One of the best!
This is one of those programs that keeps getting better and better. Evernote is designed to be your second brain when it comes to work and play, and it does a terrific job. I've been using it for a long time, but it is only since it has been owned by Bending Spoons that real progress has been achieved. If you don't use it, I strongly recommend you give it a try.
I've been a customer for over a decade…
I've been a customer for over a decade and the experience has gone off a cliff in the last 2-3 years. Subscription fees have doubled and the only extra functionality added was AI-based - a feature I have never asked for, will never use, and would turn off immediately if I could. It was bad enough when they took away features that used to be free and paywalled them - and now to make matters worse, the web version is glitchier than ever and the design has been cheapened. Prices increase dramatically while basic functionality is deliberately worsened - textbook enshittification.
Not worth the money
Somewhat used to be worth the money - not anymore. Constant pop ups about their upgrades that are useless. Keep it simple guys - all we want is to take simple notes.
The important thoughts
The important thoughts, the things that really matter to me, are after many years, easy to write and easy to find right here
updates every day
updates every day? I cannot just open quick the app to get something fast.. I need to update the app almost every single time...
Evernote has always been good but is now expensive too
Evernote has always been excellent but it has become very expensive this year. With legacy accounts being squeezed and pressure to buy into the newer and far more costly subscription. I've done so because it is good enough but the notes formatting options are limited. It serves a purpose though.
Over 10 Years Later, Still My Go-To App
I've been using Evernote for over a decade, and it remains my go-to app for capturing and organizing information across all my devices.
As a professional grant writer, Evernote has become my digital grant notebook. I use it to organize research, proposal notes, deadlines, and reference materials, as well as to keep track of login information and the email addresses I use for networking and professional organizations.
What I love most is the powerful search function—it's incredibly easy to find exactly what I need, even years later. Shortcut notes and tags make organizing information simple, and syncing across platforms has been seamless.
After more than 10 years of daily use, Evernote is still one of the most valuable productivity tools I own.
Easy and seamless application.
Great tool - but pricey
I have been using Evernote for 13 years now and it has become the core tool of my professional work ever since. However, the drastic increase in price is a hard pill to swallow as it effectively forces long-time users to automatically go for the professional subscription if they want to maintain access to all the notes they have been amassing up over the years. I'd go for a different subscription model with full access to all notes and notebooks and without the AI add-ons that I hardly ever use.
I am using Evernote to organize almost…
I am using Evernote to organize almost all aspects of my life - from personal documents to webclips to huge research and writing projects. It's intuitive and easy to use. My only criticism is the limited functionality on phone and tablet.
So useful for my restless mind
So useful for my restless mind ! What I really love is that it always evolves and the transcription feature is the best from any AI !
I've been using Evernote since 2021, it is so useful and easy, always available to catch my ideas on the fly or construct my content (I'm a teacher, teachers' instructor and entrepreneur), and it is one of my top 3 tools to organize myself since 2021 !
The app has become more useful
The app has become more useful, especially with its ability to link notes. However, all of its AI features are not usable in Hong Kong, probably due to its being ChatGPT-based. Only Gemini is accessible in HK. I hope they can build in more options for their AI service providers in the future.
no more
I've been using Evernote for years. It's a great program, but they are charging 3-4 times what it's worth. There is no reason at all that a note taking app should be $250/per year. You are basically banking on the hope that long time users won't want to switch. Though I don't want to, but I'm actively looking for replacements. It turns out there are a ton out there for a small fraction of the price. For what I use it for, it's a complete scam and honestly feels like a betrayal.
