Disgusting treatment of the people and clubs of Daventry
The way this organisation has treated clubs and sports players in Daventry to sneak through a soft play to replace half of the sports hall is disgusting. No consultatation. Clubs that have been operating for 30 years and bringing people together canceled with no notice and nowhere else to go.
This soft play is not needed in Daventry and they cannot even keep the floor clean so the softplay will be a disgusting in weeks.

My granddaughter attended the soft play…
My granddaughter attended the soft play area today ant Daventry leisure Centre and came over to her Mother with what she thought was food in her mouth! It was faeces!!! Absolutely disgusting. The area should be checked hourly and cleaned properly after every use.!

Don’t let your age/fitness stop you going to a leisure centre!
Just retired and starting going to the session’s geared towards older people. Wasn’t sure what to expect but everyone was so friendly and welcoming…including the lovely people who were also attending the sessions. This was appreciated as we haven’t had time to visit a leisure centre for 20+ years with full time work and caring responsibilities. A great way to keep fit and have fun at the same time.

Decent gym but it can be better
Hello team,
There are a few things that always bothered me about the Daventry Leisure center and in the past year I have seen no or very slow progress in getting them sorted:
1. The leaking roof - this is always a problem when it rains and since I have joined the gym 2 years ago there were always buckets around, max I have counted 17
2. The machines are a bit dated and some of them make worrying noises or are broken and when this happens it takes months to get them back to life
3. There is a bit of untidiness all over the place, I'm sure that the stuff are doing all their best to keep the place clean but sometimes it takes too long for them to react, especially in the showers/changing areas
4. It would have been nice to have a sauna
Positives:
- Very big place compared to Southam gym and it does not feel crowded even at peak hours
- Very helpful stuff and there is always someone at the reception
- Great variety of activities that are available.

It’s great to hear that you appreciate the spaciousness of the facility, the friendly and helpful colleagues, and the wide variety of activities on offer. We’re really proud of these aspects and are so pleased they’ve made a positive impact on your visits.
That said, we completely understand your concerns and want to assure you that we take them seriously. We acknowledge the ongoing issue with the roof leak and understand how frustrating this must be. While a longer-term solution is in progress, we’re continuing to monitor and manage the situation closely during wet weather.
We’re also aware that some of the gym equipment is due for updates and repairs. Delays can happen due to parts availability or servicing schedules, but we know this shouldn’t affect your workout experience, and we’re actively working with our maintenance team to improve response times.
Regarding cleanliness and upkeep, your point is well taken. Our team works hard to maintain high standards, but we know there’s always room for improvement. We’ll ensure your comments are passed on to the relevant teams so we can focus on more timely attention, especially in the changing and shower areas.
As for the suggestion of a sauna — thank you! While we currently don’t have one at this site, we’re always looking at ways to enhance the centre’s facilities and will pass this forward for future consideration.
Once again, thank you for your honest feedback and for continuing to be part of our community. We appreciate your support and hope to keep improving your experience with us.

Nice place!
This leisure centre has turned itself around in the last few years. The pool is warm, the showers all work, the changing area is warm and the staff are helpful and friendly. Could probably do with fitting doors to the changing cubicles! We use the badminton courts and they're all good too. It's easy to book and not expensive, will be using this place a lot.

Can honestly not fault this place!
Staff are amazing, Wendy especially, she was on reception at the time of my visit after recently joining. Wendy was so helpful, she helped me set up the app! Showed me how to use it and explained everything that I needed to know before starting. When I mentioned about wanting Personal Training she explained my options and told me there was a group one which I would enjoy. I thought would give it a try and She was right I definitely did enjoy it.
