Worse pe-sales and customer service

Worse pe-sales and customer service, eWays do not have enough people to service new orders and answer queries and it is not cheap either. There are better companies which are also better in price.

The job got subcontracted out

The job got subcontracted out. Communication became very hard between the subcontractor and eway when reconciling what had been ordered vs what would be done and if there were any additional costs to be paid to the contractor. I pulled out in the end before installation and just had to pay 200kr to eways for admin.

Outdated process in my opinion: Physical tags sent to mailbox used - it takes a long time before you can start to use charging stations

To be able to use charging station, Eways uses physical tags that they have to send out by snail mail to each user. I would very much prefer an app instead, getting access instantly. The process with tags seems outdated to me.
On top of things, Eways forgot to send out my tag twice, meaning I have to wait for the second week in a row before I can charge my car at the office. Customer service tells you to wait 5 days for the tag to arrive in your mailbox before you call customer service. Do not wait as I did - instead call them often to make sure your tag is sent.

Edit: Answer makes sense on the choice of a tag. I very much appreciate the info, thank you for the time to inform.
Still have not gotten my tag, though. I ordered the tag 7 nov 2023 (3 weeks and 1 day ago). I did get an email Thursday last week that the tag now is sent, might be a good sign. Let's see when it arrives.

Hi Malin, Thank you for your feedback.
The choice of using a tag is because it is more reliable than an app and are not in need of an mobile service connection to start. Also And RFID-tag can be "remembered" by the charging station so even if the station is offline you can start an charging session. We have and provide cooperation with numerous applications that works with our service and most of the bigger parking applications can be used to start and stop a session in SE and other nordic countries.
Further more we are always looking to improve and find the best way to make it easy for our customers to charge, so of course we are looking in to our own application.


We are very sorry for the delay and as you were told by our customer service i can take up to 5 working days before the tag arrives due to postal service. In your case I will look in to what went wrong.

Great product let down by its app

Greate experience with ordering except for the extended waiting period before it could be installed. In addition to that the Zaptec mobile app is very almost useless with it almost never showing the correct status and difficulty starting a new charge cycle.

I would strongly recomend Eways as a company. I have a Halo charger that is working perfectly fine and is Climatadapted. I strongly recomend The customer service as well that always answer when calling if needed... 😊
