I’ve received an email with a contact request from Experteer but when I follow the link to see the request I get a screen to subscribe.
Does this contact request even exist? Why lure me with a contact email to subscribe? This is very unethical!

This site is to be avoided
To add to the below - been contacted by Trustpilot to say Experteer are questioning this review. They clearly don't like my review but it is accurate - they renewed my payment without my permission. This site is to be avoided. I was sent totally unsuitable jobs and charged for a renewal period without any permission. Avoid. And to add that the same day that they responded to my review they sent me a list of ‘suitable roles’ - all of which required law qualifications which I don’t have and we’re therefore totally unsuitable. I notice that they have people employed to respond immediately to the large number of negative reviews they receive- Shame they don’t put these efforts into running a good service in the first place!

What a scam
Just endless emails asking to sign up for premium and none of the jobs they advertise are exclusive to them. Like many others stated all the jobs are listed on free websites.

Update in response to Experteers reply:
I fully understand the terms and conditions your staff keep throwing at me so please dont waste your time keep repeating them. Subscriptions tend to be many month apart and it is therefore good practice to let your customer know, in advance, that the subscription is about to renew. This is fair practice but sadly not something you sign up for. The first I knew that the subscription was being renewed was seeing the amount being debited to my account on the day of renewal and an invoice on my account. I contacted you immediately I saw this and cancelled also advising that I had no intention of continuing with the subscription and polite;y asked for a refund of the payment which at the stage I contacted you had not fully processed to my account. Regardless of your terms and conditions you should have exceptions processes which allow the cancellation of a subscription if the customer did not intend to continue with it and advises you in good time. Your practices are not acceptable in the UK and so trading standards have been informed and I have raised a dispute with my credit card company about the whole affair. I will never use your services again. You are criminals.
Inadvertently signed up for a paid subscription (I guess you had to tick a box to get the free trial). On the day they tried to take the money from my account, I contacted them and cancelled and asked them not to take the subscription. They did and have since refused to give me a refund. Will be raising a dispute with my credit card company. Don't get involved with them.
Catastrophic experience & Unprofetional
Catastrophic experience. the renewal is done without any notification. they invoice you more 200€ yearly without even telling you that this is going to happen, and worse, without even telling you that it happen per email. I discovered this only through my bank, and if you go to your account in a special area. If Experteer think that this is how to make business, with poor quality and blackmailing their customer to pay for something which was not even known. they are getting it completely wrong.
additional point, accidentally, you can renew your contract by clicking ones on a icon, you will even not notice this. but to cancel the contract, you have to confirm through a code and an email. those practices are illegal, and they will know it soon!
My advise, is to dont even open an account there, it is far to be professional!
Experteer: lenient and constrcutive
Accidently I omitted to inform Experteer that I no longer required their services. Despite this, they agreed on cancelling my pending invoice. The service has been very good but regrettably my profile appeared to be too specific to use Experteer's facilities.

The worst I have come across
An absolutely awful experience. Signed up to be able to see opportunities within the remuneration range looking for. The site states a certain amount but when you click on the opportunity itself, it forwards you to the site where it is actually advertised and is NOWHERE NEAR the remuneration levels they suggest within their site. It is pretty much false advertising and almost fraudulent in the scale of mismatching.
The headhunting aspect is practically non-existent and the one enquiry I had was not even close to the skillset match.
I attempted to cancel and the cancellation process did not work. Their lead times for cancelling are way off the mark for sensible customer satisfaction (you have to give notice almost as soon as you start the subscription).
When I was charged for six months automatically, I asked for it to be cancelled explaining the system did not work and they refused 3 times over a period of three weeks to refund stating it was not possible to refund.
It is entirely possible to refund, they chose not to.
Please don't go with this site, the experience is awful, the information misleading and adds no value (more detracts value) from the job hunting process. They have proven with their customer service that they are not interested in the customer or adding value to the job hunting service. They are a website scraping service that provides misleading information. Avoid.
They should be seriously re-evaluate the experience of their website and customer service they provide. They serve no-one except themselves.
Good resolution to my request
Good resolution to my request. Fair and and appreciated.

I have the feeling Experteer and…
I have the feeling Experteer and Jobleads providing the same scamming useless service. The companies claiming to offer exclusive vacancies which are advertised through other free job portals or directly through the employers’ job portals! I deleted my accounts straight away as I do not trust their services at all! No thank you 😝
Useless, and a waste of money
I got sucked in by the promise of headhunters wanting to contact me, yet during my six months paid membership not a single one did. Furthermore, the jobs sent to me were as unrelated to my job search requirements as the awful, yet free totaljobs etc, so the money was a total waste, and I'd recommend anyone thinking of paying for a premium subscription doesn't bother.
Edit: I love the response! I'm guessing Experteer didn't even read my review, as I had no problem cancelling my premium membership. Another example of how rubbish this company is
Not for me
I'm not finding the site particularly useful and lack of renewal notification I think is a major customer experience error

Basic account and stealing money from credit card
I opened up a basic account at Experteer and after looking at it I decided to give it a go for an upgrade. Worst mistake ever. Not one interesting job opening which I had not seen on an other place. But hey, I was looking for a job and did not matter to invest a bit of money on it. A creditcard is out of sight, but when checking my credit card 4 months later, they have deducted it every month. So in general:
- worthless site, no interesting job openings
- deducted money from my CC even when my settings were at basic.
So please, I do understand you want a job, but please pay a bit for LinkedIn, Indeed or find a decent headhunter to introduce yourself somewhere.

Smooth customer support service.
Even though the premium membership cancellation was not so smooth in the system, the customer support service was very supportive and quick in responding. Thank you.

If these reviews weren't bad enough…
If these reviews weren't bad enough check these out:
sitejabber and do a search fo expeteer.com - they're awful. No one on the internet has had a good experience of them.
The reviews being left by myself and others are not hoaxes - these guys are not moral, they will take your money and not help you.
I see you've replied - do you not think that all this feedback is worth considering and perhaps changing your business model to reflect the fact that thousands of people find your service absolutely abysmal? I will continue to spread negative feedback about experteer because these inflexible cancellation policies are absolutely antiquated and have no place in modern progressive intelligent online services.

I nearly signed up to this website but…
I nearly signed up to this website but .....
I nearly signed up to this website, seeing the "executive" level positions they seem to tout. But thanks to all the reviews and that too on Trustpilot, you know 1 maybe wrong, 2 may be biased, 3 may be crazy but this many 1 star about scams is horrendous. In all honesty, this is the worst company I have come across on Trustpilot.
However, what really got me over the edge were the brazen replies by the company (in questionable grammar and ridden with errors).
I am trying to remove my account but…
I am trying to remove my account but there is no visible option to do this. I have tried to contact them to request removal and the only answer I get is a link to reset my password. The links are all set up to keep you on a loop without option to get out. Not only annoying, this is against eu regulations.
