Just stayed at Summerbay Orlando by Exploria. We had a terrible experience at this resort and would not recommend it. Our unit was extremely outdated, dark, dingy and noisy. They had housekeeping staff that lived above us (they live on premises as a perk). They arose early at 6am each morning- awaking us each morning with stomping and furniture moving. Same routine each night once they returned from work (9 pm).
The room was clean and pest free which is the only nice comment I can leave. Management was rude and not helpful when contacted. Stated they were booked full, but they could switch our room IF we paid an additional fee! Do NOT recommend this resort- you will be very disappointd!

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! Exploria will reel you in with great deals and promises of luxury and endless travel, but they will never follow through on any of it. I have paid a minimum $19,000 and I have never been able to go. Yes, 19k I could have used to go on real vacations and had a great time. Instead I have been saddled with never ending maintenance fees (that increase!) and zero vacations.They promised that they would help sell my timeshare if it didn’t work out and it 100% is NOT working out. I tried looking into booking and found out I could not get a bigger unit even though I have points which are supposed to be very flexible. I have reached out to ARDA as they suggested and still can’t get anyone to help me. I want my contract canceled and ties cut with Exploria. They have not followed through on our agreement and refuse to do anything about it. All they send are vague templated letters telling me they don’t have a “take back” program. That is not what I’m asking for. I want it canceled completely for their failure to provide what they sold, their absence of customer service, and the pain and inconvenience they have caused me. Do yourself a favor and look up Exploria reviews. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a good one. They are running a scam. I do not believe they actually provide any vacation services to anyone, but strictly collect money.

Exploria Resorts is a complete sham and should not be trusted! They are liars, deceivers, and only care about their own financial gain. We were promised that when we purchased a timeshare with them that the fees would be lower and they have instead become more expensive with every year. We have been trying to get out of our contract since 2016 but they give us the run-around and ignore our requests. The maintenance fees are outrageous, the taxes increase yearly, and they even charge extra fees for things that were supposed to be included in the original agreement.
We are financially distressed by these lies and our medical needs have also suffered due to their irresponsible behavior. We had plans to travel more often with this timeshare but now those plans have been completely dashed due to the money we’re having to funnel into this nightmare of a contract. Exploria Resorts has shown a total disregard for their customers as they refuse to listen or take responsibility for their actions. We can barely get any responses!
We want to get out of this contract as soon as possible and move on with our lives without having to worry about Exploria Resorts anymore. We deserve better than what they have done to us and we refuse to be taken advantage of any longer. It is time for them to take responsibility for their actions and make things right. Exploria Resorts has been preying on vulnerable customers for too long and it’s time for us to stand up against their deceptive practices.
