Highlights were quite expensive but terrible to use. They bleed through pages.
Order was shorted twice
Order was shorted twice, I ordered colored pencils ala carte and on the first order I was shorted 2 pencils, the second order was shorted 3. So 5 pencils at 3.50 apiece. Customer service phone line says we aren't answering the phone until next week, chat bot says the same, I got through to a human who "transfered" me to the shipping dept and "They will call you back."
I doubt it. Excellent pencils but lousy customer service and shipping, what good is it to get your product in 2 days if the order is short??
Black compass
Black compass, made of iron, fantastic make. stable, durable, very good for working with nautical charts.
the company makes quality, that's why they are still around
Creativity for Kids Tree House Kit
I purchased a Creativity for Kids Tree House set that was missing a pice. I contacted customer service who immediately responded by making arrangements to send the missing piece. I love their products which I always purchase for my granddaughter, and now I can
truly appreciate their customer service response as well.
Quality not up to the mark
Well, I purchased the 36-colours colour pencil set and I feel their kingfisher blue and emerald blue are the same. They could have given maroon instead of duplicating colours.
Also , some colours spread well, others not , have to put pressure , those colours are too oily .
Customer service? What customer service?
I have a Faber-Castell mechanical pencil but cannot find a shop that sells pencil leads of the right size. I contacted F-C to locate a local supplier. After three months their Customer Service department told me to 'contact an in-store reseller'. Thanks a lot, Faber-Castell! You didn't even bother to read my question.
Faber Castell Pencil Scam
I have been using Faber Castell Polychromos for a while now, their buttery texture and wonderful layering makes them my favorite pencils, and I'm not alone, more and more artists are turning to Polychromos, so
much so, that scammers are trying to cash in on this popularity. Recentlly, all over Facebook, Pinterest and even video games, unscupulous people are pretending to sell Faber Castell Art sets, for derisory prices. Do not buy, report instead. When you know that a Karlset is selling for US$2,850. and only 2500 are issued, they come with a serial number and a certificate of authenticity, there is no way on earth that you can get it for $29.99!!! There is even one of these thieves that copied Faber Castell website to build a fake site in every way similar to the legit one. Please spread the word so unsuspecting people will not fall victims to these scammers. Thank you
I bought two sets of pencils on line…
I bought two sets of pencils on line but never received them. They cost me over 100 dollars.i searched ror scams but couldn't find any.i wish I hadnt used a dredit card but no PayPal so I am out of pocket. So disappointed as I am disabled and colour a lot. Yes they were large sets.
Wow!
Wow!
The best coloured pencils I have ever gotten.
The polychromos range of coloured pencils, manufactured by Faber-Castell are extremely light fast with rich pigmentation and incredibly easy to sharpen and blend.
They are affordable and come in a range of 120 colours, although I wish there was more than 120 colours.
Absolutely love this company which existed since 1761. Wow!
I purchased one of their Essentio…
I purchased one of their Essentio fountain pens about a year and a half ago. As with several of my other pens, when not in use, they are flushed and dried before storing. When I took it out to refill , the front end cracked in two place and broke. It was not dropped or misused, so it was a surprise to say the least. I wrote to JetPens where I'd purchased it and they referred me to Faber. Customer service at Faber Castell put the blame squarely on me of course, claiming it was bad ink,(I use Pelikan Edelstein) mishandling, undue pressure etc, and to replace the part want another 20 bucks on top of the 50 I spent buying this shoddy item. Other Plastic pens I own made by Kaweco, Pelikan etc have lasted for years and work flawlessly. I expected a German product, but I don't know what this is exactly. I definitely won't be Paying 20 bucks to replace the front end , on principle. I'd much rather consign it to it's rightful place, the dustbin.
I wish I read the reviews before making…
I wish I read the reviews before making a purchase. It has been 21 days since I placed my order and it still has not been shipped. I got an email 12 days after placing my order that orders ship 5 to 7 days after order is placed. Am I missing something?
Faber-castell is one of the most high…
Faber-castell is one of the most high quality products I used in my artworks. I have my 48 watercolor pencils and classic colored pencils as well as 12 classic colored pencils and they really last for a long time I will purchase more from this company highly recommended!
Above & Beyond Customer Service
Customer service at Faber-Castell went above and beyond my expectations. My daughter received a Big Gem Diamond Painting kit but one pack of clear gems was missing. I wrote to the company explaining what was missing and asked if a pack could be sent. Not only did they reply immediately asking for more information on my product(numeric code) but kept me updated with numerous emails showing the missing pack was being sent by FedEx with tracking info. When we received it, not only was the missing pack sent but also mini colored pencils and a smaller 3 sticker gem set for my daughter. Great job by Michelle O'Meara in customer service with communication and resolving my situation!
Go-to for art supplies
Faber-Castell is my go-to for art supplies. They have the best range of pencils for sketching, drawing and coloring in artwork. Their brush pens and pitt artist pens are very reliable. I use them in my letterings/typographies, crafts and journaling. Their products are just a little on the expensive side, but it makes up for the quality. They do last long.
Overpriced and not all their products…
Overpriced and not all their products are high quality as they claim including their professional green line.Be careful also when purchasing some of their products as some of them are crap manufactured in China.
My go-to brand
My go-to brand when it comes to coloured pencil art. I have got a 12 pack, 60 pack and 120 pack of their polychromos pencils and they do not disappoint. They are very durable and dont break easy, they keep their point to add finer details but can also blend if using the right technique. A good selection of colours and shades, along with their metalic pencils in silver, gold and bronze, theyre amazing. I use my pencils for pet and wildlife portraits.
Love all their products!
Avoid customer service ..
Avoid customer service ... because they know better than the customers who are daft punks
I purchased the ballpoint pen yesterday…
I purchased the ballpoint pen yesterday and upon arrival it truly looked magnificent. The troubles started after I finished using the pen for the first time. The pen design means that to retract the ballpoint, you need to rotate the top component of the pen. Nothing too difficult here you say...
The ink refill is too thick for the end of then pen! When you try to retract the ballpoint, nothing happens. Full rotation of the top results in zero movement of the ballpoint. The hole in the end of the pen is an interference fit with the ballpoint refill. Someone really messed up with their measurements.
Giving Faber-Castell the benefit of the doubt I ordered the correct ballpoint refills hoping they would actually fit the pen. No such luck - the official Faber-Castell refills also get stuck in the end of the pen meaning the pen does not retract 1mm.
How can Faber-Castell produce such trash?
Do yourself a favour and purchase a cheap ballpoint pen. Purchase this pen at your own peril. Faber-Castell should be ashamed!
Update: this pen decided to break in two today (12th November). The picture attached shows that the inferior plastic mechanism has a weak point where the two outer metal body components meet. The pen is now worse than useless. Let's see if Faber-Castell read this and send a replacement... (I have already written to them directly).
Update: eight weeks after sending the broken pen to their UK distributor, the same pen was eventually returned. I now have a new plastic insert in a pen that also has numerous 'designer scratches'! The pen will probably fail again very soon. If you do send your pen away to be repaired by Faber-Castell, do not expect fast service. This company is useless with both product design and customer service. Save your money and shop elsewhere.
