This was a horrific experience

This was a horrific experience. Firstly we booked 2 pedicure/manicure. The manager decided to change to a more expensive manicure (which peeled away in 3 days). So we called to let them know and have the nails redone. The manager was upset to have to redo the nails this time just a normal manicure but when I mentioned the difference in the cost of the nails, the manager got irate and said she’ll give me the difference but I should never come back. I found this confusing as it was their fault we had to make a second visit within a few days. I reminded her of this and she said because she repaired the nails we shouldn’t go back. I told her we wouldn’t after all they are all so unfriendly and unwelcoming.
I would not recommend this company to anyone wanting good relaxation or experience.

Extremely Disappointing Experience

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Poor Communication and Service

We booked two massages at the Fairmont Spa, expecting a relaxing and professional experience. Instead, we were met with disorganization and a complete lack of customer care.

Just 20 minutes before our scheduled appointments, we received a call saying they could only accommodate one person. When I asked to cancel both appointments, we were suddenly told they could “make it work” for both of us—already a red flag.

When we arrived, we were left waiting 15 minutes past our scheduled time before being taken into the massage room. Once inside, we were asked to get ready… and then completely abandoned sitting naked for another 20 minutes with no explanation, no staff checking in, nothing. At that point, we decided to leave.

No one was at reception, no one acknowledged our departure, and no one followed up to check whether we had left or needed assistance. For a spa under the Fairmont name, this level of disorganization and disregard for guests is unacceptable. To top all this we were put down as a no show on treatwell!

Would not recommend. This was meant to be a relaxing treat, and instead it was frustrating and disappointing from start to finish.

Needs to be cleaner

The lady who did the treatment is a very nice woman and she did a good job. It’s my second visit, the first time I thought it was not very clean, but I did decide to give them a second chance. However, as nice as the lady is, the premises are dirty and for that reason I won’t be returning.

Dreadful place with rude and offensive staff

Dreadful place with rude and offensive staff. Despite having booked an appointment on 11 May through Treatwell - paying advance - when I arrived for my 1pm appointment today, they told me that they were full and I should have looked at my phone as they had contacted me to cancel. I had and they had not. They told me I had to cancel to get a refund from Treatwell but they would not refund me. Then the woman walked off. Treatwell do not refund if cancelling with less than 48 hours notice. After calling her several times she reluctantly returned and then cancelled - giving themselves a good review! advising that Treatwell will be in touch and refund me. I am badly let down by this appalling service but doesn't look as though they will care much. Such rudeness

Horrific manager and dirty salon!

Awful place, dirty salon and unprofessional staff. They don’t sterilise any of their equipment. The manager is absolutely horrific, nasty women who has no idea how to run a business! Avoid like the plague!

I advise that you do not book for any…

I advise that you do not book for any treatments at this place. My first experience was for a facial treatment. I paid over £45 and the therapist was running late. The treatment should have been an hour but lasted only 30mins. My second experience was a pedicure. I paid £25 for a 45-60 min treatment. It only lasted 25 minutes and the treatment was rushed and I felt the therapist wanted to go home. They take your money but the treatment is very rushed and not value for money. Please avoid this place

If I could give less than one star I would!

I had recently heard about a summer eyelash extensions offer they were doing and I had contacted them straight away as it was local and my normal lash lady was busy for the week. Honestly I should have just waited for my lash lady to be free. Before my lashes were done I showed a picture and a video of my own lashes and how my normal lash lady does them and I said I wanted them the exact same, The young girl who had done my lashes said that wouldn’t be a problem. When she finished (took over 3 hours) they were so many gaps in my lashes and did not look anywhere near the pics or videos I had shown her but I thought don’t make a fuss, I thanked her payed and left. I just want to note the texture of these lashes were like bristle combs and parts where she didn’t apply the lash properly I could feel them poking my eye. The next day I woke up and to my surprise almost more than half the lashes had fallen out and I was shocked, I went to work and throughout my day it was getting worse. So straight after work I visited Fairmount Spa and I spoke to the young lady who did my lashes and her attitude and customer service was beyond poor, she wouldn’t let me speak or explain anything, also told me the manager wasn’t available. She kept yelling at me that the lashes falling out were my fault and said that she saw that I didn’t like them as soon as they done. I tried to explain that I’ve had my lashes done so many more times before this and never have I experienced this, however half way through speaking to her she just walked away from me. I myself work in an industry where I know customer service is important and this young lady lacked so much professionalism and her attitude was so terrible that I wondered how could such company employ her, then I remembered when I asked to speak to the manager she let on that the manager was actually her mother. I was left at reception alone with nobody coming to speak to me or ask if there was an issue. I went home and called the Spa and the same young girl picked up and continued to be rude even when I asked to speak to the manager again, she said the manager won’t be available for the next couple weeks. Shocked to the level of appalling customer service, I called the next day and I finally got through to the manager explained the situation and she just apologized for her daughters rudeness and she came to the conclusion where she’d call me back to go in and have my lashes re done free of charge (I made it clear I didn’t want the young lady as before) it’s been over a month and I never had a phone call back . I’ve called twice after this phone call and the same young lady picks up and tells me the manager isn’t available. I have pics and video evidence to show how terrible and quickly the lashes fell out. If you want my advice save yourself the time and money and go other places where they value their customers and don’t lack professionalism and decorum. They can keep my money but Never again.

I had a terrible experience at this…

I had a terrible experience at this salon and judging by the other reviews, I am not the only one. I was given the wrong treatment that I did not book in for. Their website is out of date and inconsistent with their services list that they were trying to wave in my face telling me I booked something I know I did not. The manager was extremely aggressive and nasty, instead of demonstrating customer service and empathy for the misunderstanding she shouted at me to pay more saying I have had the treatment before (I most certainly have not). Disgusting. On top of that I'm not happy with the treatment at all and was not an enjoyable experience. 24 hours later I feel totally violated and traumatised. Will not be going back there ever again.

Never again! Terrible eyelash extensions So unprofessional!

I used Fairmount Spa today only because my regular lady was on maternity leave. I was desperate so decided to visit the Spa for eyelash extensions. I called earlier explaining that I already had a few lashes on and wanted to top up. The lady on the phone told me it would be £30. I arrived at the Spa and was taken to one of the treatment rooms. The door remained ajar throughout the process so I could hear the personal conversation of the people (maybe staff) outside. Not what I would expect from a professional place. Before the lady even started applying the lashes, she was busy wiping stuff on my face. She said she was removing the glue but she managed to almost blind me as something went into my eye causing it to burn and water. After a few painful moments where it seemed as though she was removing some of my eyelashes, she eventually applied the infills. I was surprised to see that she did not put tape on my bottom lashes but not surprised when both the top and bottom lashes stuck together and I could not open my eyes. The final result was appalling. The lashes were completely different- the right eye lopsided. When I told them I was not happy with the results, they just looked at me. One women went out of the room and another came in to tell me she needed the room for the next customer. I explained to the second lady I was not happy with the results she merely suggested she would remove them! Given that she almost blinded me and had already removed several lashes earlier, I declined the offer, plus she had already removed the original extensions. I was not prepared to pay the full price as they had not done the job they were supposed to do. I offered to pay half of the price. A member of staff then said she would call the police! I was happy for her to do so as I told her I knew my rights as a customer dealing with bad service. She then suggested that I pay half even though I had already suggested it earlier. She also had the cheek to say and I quote “the cost of my treatment should have been £80 and how they had 6,000 clients”! Terrible dreadful place. Have told all my friends and family to avoid the place. Definitely recommend Lotus Springs!

Waste of time and money!

Absolute waste of time and money. Unproffesional and rude members of staff. They had no idea what they were doing. They made a complete mess of manicure and pedicure . It was absolutey appalling and they did not even apologise or offer to give a discount . The whole experience was horrendous . I went in there to hoping to have a good experience but left feeling stressed and upset . They kept speaking their own language infront of customers and laughed and joked amongst themselves . The nail varnish collection they had on display was all dried and flakey . It took me ages to find a colour I like and in the end the boss turned and said that one is extra £5 and when I said I will leave it then- she said just pay £5 more it's not a big deal!
They don't make you feel welcome or relaxed. Will never go back again.
